Engela smiled faintly. "Fine. Hardly worth going through, is it?" she mused wryly as the door swung open. She turned her gaze to Aura and waited. She said nothing. She knew she didn't have to.
Aura also remained silent, waiting for a question. A question she knew would come from her father - her mother had that look that said she was going to ask no questions.

"So, Aura, what passed through your mind that caused your mother to faint from the sensory overload?" Mathias asked, very calm and collected. He knew that it wasn't on purpose or a lapse in judgement, but an accident. And rather than yell and scream, he could get the same answers if everything and everyone was quiet and peaceful.

Aura didn't answer straight away. Her head tilted, as though she was listening, and then she sighed. She sounded exasperated. "You explain," she told someone that no one but her could hear. "I don't know what happened any more than they do!"
Almost as soon as the words were out of her mouth, her posture changed. She had been standing straight, her eyes on her mother. Now her head came down and she was looking at the floor. Her voice, too, sounded a little younger and a little higher-pitched when she spoke. She spoke quickly, as though expecting punishment. "Aura was busy thinking about other things, so I was reaching out to Leon's girl. Alexa. When I made contact..." She shuddered. By now it was fairly obvious that Aura was no longer the speaker. "What you felt," she nodded briefly at Engela, "was what I was getting from Leon's daughter. I failed to ward the connection between you and Aura properly - I thought it was just going to be a passive exploration. I wasn't expecting it to be so..."
"Violent," murmured Engela, remembering. "Yes. But that was all Alexa? You didn't get the emotions of two people, perhaps?"
Aura's body shrugged. "It's possible that Aura's emotions were also swept up in the current, and that was where the second person came from. But what came from Leon's daughter was...very strong indeed. Very strong. One might say she's ruled by emotion now."
Engela nodded slowly. "I think this is something we should perhaps keep from Vix for now, my dear," she told Mathias. In what was perhaps the biggest understatement she'd ever made, she added, "She would be very uneasy, knowing."

Maverick sent some trackers to find the Heroes the trackers had been on the trail when things turned cold just before the battle that took place in front of the house they were closer than the realised they name stumbled to the house and saw the results of the battle...they survyed the area closely

Mathias nodded, looking between his daughter and wife. He got up and headed towards the door, wanting to take quick check around the house. Using his powers, he glided around everybody and outside.

The Scouts saw Mathias coming out side and they hid in the bushes and trees and watched carefully waiting to see what would happen

((Mathias isn't expecting anything, he's just taking a walk pretty much.))
Mathias caught a starnge scent in the air. Looking around though, he was unable to find the source. Deciding it was nothing, Mathias walked into the forest. Fighting that army drained his energy, and even though he fed while fighting, he was still hungry. Just as he was about to run into the forest, the wind shifted and he caught that smell again...humans, and not good ones. Smirking to himself, he ran into the forest and faded into the shadows, waiting.

The scouts watched him run into the forrest and they sighed they moved slowly and cautiously

Engela rolled her eyes. "And isn't that just like him," she mused, although she did not elaborate. Smiling at her daughter, she gave the slightest nod. "It's all right, Aura - Siobhan. I'm not upset. Next time, just ward a little more thoroughly. Now, you ought to go to bed. I have the feeling tomorrow is going to be a very long day."
Aura, dismissed, mouthed a good-night at her mother and left the room. Her posture became a little straighter, and various tiny mannerisms assured Engela that the girl leaving was once again her daughter. She listened until Aura's door slammed, and then slipped through her currents, looking to see where Mathias had gotten to. He would not feel her - it was simply a passive search, not doing anything but making sure he was all right.

Mathias was watching them, moving in the shadows. They seemed to be scouts. But why were they here..and more importantly, WHO did they work for. He made sure they wouldn't detect him as he followed in the trees.

What Mathias hadn't realised is that one Scout had slipped away under his Radar and alerted a small Battalion of troops of their finding of Mathias though they weren'tsure if anyone else was here
