"Fine, Kasen.." Nera said as she walked out the store and walked towards a strange stand which apparently a person was trying to sell something. She looked at him with a strange look as the salesman pulled out an ice-cream which she looked at Kasen for a moment. "Shall we get some?"

A lone, blonde girl in the middle of a dark alleyway stared up at the moonlight while she held a bloody kodachi firmly with her right hand. Several hollow lay dead at her feet while she simply stood there, serenely gazing at the sky. How could things have gotten bad so fast? When everything started, she was at her lab in squad 12. Now she was in this town, fighting off hollows while the rest of the shinigami did whatever it is that they had chosen to do.

Her name is Ringo Amai, 3rd seat and mechanic of squad 12. While she wasn't one to fight, she needed some way of venting out her feelings. Her eyes were filled with a great deal of sadness. She had only been busy a few days before everything just spiraled out of control. What's worse, her nii-nii seems to have disappeared and she hasn't seen him since. As his sister, she couldn't help but feel scared that her brother had something to do with this mess and that he was somewhere trying to solve it. He was always like that, always trying to burden himself with everything. She hated it.

Her head suddenly snapped to the side when she detected something move from the corner of her eye. She followed it to another dark alley way only to find more darkness. "Stupid. I could hear you even from up there...," muttered Ringo before she raised her hand and pointed her finger without even looking up. "Hadou #4, Byakurai," she said and a lighting bolt shot out from her finger and hit a hollow that had attacked itself to a wall. Ringo's Byakurai hit it squarely on its head, frying its brain and killing it as it fell to the ground dead.

Ringo looked at the creature coldly before using a shunpo to go to other places that needed help.

Once she reached a new place where she found the foul cries of hollow filling her ears and their wretched screams resonating in her head, Ringo knew it was time to work again. She sighed for a while before she allowed her ice-cold fighting disposition to overcome her personality and went on to slay the wretched beings that have been the pain in her neck for so long.

With each slash of her kodachi producing a satisfying sound of ripping flesh, Ringo continued with her bloody concerto. Like a musician playing to the tune of death, the blonde 3rd seater of squad 12 followed a specific rhythm that spelled the demise of those hollow who managed to come near her. Those who had perished under this powerful performance of speed, style, and grace were either horribly mutilated, decapitated, or disemboweled. The ground ran red with blood while Ringo continued to cut through the seemingly countless hollows.

By the time Ringo was done, all that was left of the area were a huge pile of hollow corpses with Ringo sitting at the top of the heap to take a breather. Her clean clothes were now sullied with random blood spatters, yet she remained surprisingly calm after all this. She was used to killing hollows already and she really didn't care what anyone thought right now. She had more important things going on in her mind and this little mission had come at just the right time for her to let out her frustrations in the form of hollow killing.

A long sword flashed down, slicing a Hollow in two.
"Maa maa, where on earth are you rats coming from? Better to cut this situation off at the source!" Swinging his blade up onto his shoulder, Ronnel glared at the Hollows standing around the edge of the field. He brought his blade up and pressed it against his cheek, a feral grin etching across his face.
"Come on then you rotten souls! Squad Eleven isn't going to let you just have your fun, you're the fun for me!" He leapt forward, ducking around a claw that shot out before turning and slicing the offending claw off. His boot came up and planted on the creature's face, kicking it backwards and over. As the crablike Hollow he had targeted scrambled to get up, the Shinigami slammed his blade down into its mask, shattering it and absolving the Hollow.
A large tail came from a Hollow next to the one he had just slain and sent him flying into a nearby Hollow, who grabbed him with pincers. The Fifth Seat growled and slammed his blade through his own shoulder, up into the Hollow's mask.
As he landed, his damaged arm flexed as he made sure it still worked. The feral grin returned as he shot forward, his fist smashing through another Hollow's mask, from which he propelled to the one who had struck him with its tail. He pinned the tail to the ground and raced along its length, bringing his knee up hard and cracking the Hollow's mask, and followed it up with a double handed hammer blow from his hands, widening the cracks. A roundhouse kick, awkward at this point, sent the Hollow into a building, tearing a gash in its tail. The shinigami snatched up his sword and flung it after the creature, finishing it off.
He picked up his sword and spun it around, grinning as he looked around and spotted a female shinigami dealing with other Hollows a distance away. He saluted her with his blade and jumped after another Hollow.

Ronnel landed on a Hollow's shoulders in a crouch, his blade seated in the creature's forehead. He shifted his weight and kicked out, shoving away from creature. His blade gouged out a rent in the mask, dispersing the Hollow. The shinigami's kick pushed him towards another Hollow.
Ronnel swung his torso down, counterbalancing as his feet swung up and around to crash against the Hollow's head. The Eleventh Squad member landed on one hand and brought his long sword around in a hard and heavy slash, tearing off the upper half of the Hollow's mask. Without waiting to see the monster dissolve, Ronnel pushed up to his feet and turned around, blocking a bladed arm that swung towards his torso.
As bone ground against Zanpakutou, Ronnel's foot lashed out and kicked into the Hollow's knee, wrenching the joint out of place. The creature collapsed as Ronnel finished his counter, swinging his blade around in a full circle to chop off the Hollow's head.
The Fifth Seat grinned evilly and slammed his longsword into the sheath at his waist as the next Hollow lunged for him, barbed tail whipping around to pierce the defenseless Soul Reaper. The entity was shocked when the Shinigami grabbed its tail in a swift move and brought his foot up through the flesh behind where he was gripping, tearing the end of the tail from the rest of the Hollow's body. Before the barbed portion faded, Ronnel turned it around and rammed it into one of the Hollow's eye sockets. The creature let out a wail of pain as it dissolved.
The brutality of that attack made the other surviving Hollows pause, then turn tail and run away from the gore drenched Shinigami. He blinked in surprise before his eyes narrowed.
"Oi! Get back here!" He drew out his Zanpakutou as he took off after one of the Hollow.

Ringo saw from the corner of her eye another shinigami saluting to her with his sword. She responded with a similar salute with her kodachi, thinking that it would show a little bit of respect to the person who was able to acknowledge her presence there. She then heard a foul scream coming from his direction and saw him kill a hollow with his raw power. Ringo wasn't impressed by this though, but when she saw the other hollow running away, she found it time to assist a shinigami ally.

Pointing at the retreating hollows, Ringo whispered under her breath, "Hadou #4, Byakurai." With her words, a jolt of white lightning shot out and hit one of the retreating hollows on the back of the head, frying its brain and spinal column. She then went to shoot a series of other Byakurai that left the retreating hollows either dead or paralyzed from getting shot at with high-voltage electricity. This would give the other shinigami time to easily dispatch them once he was done with his fun.

Turning back to her own situation, Ringo saw a flying hollow nearby. Its face was ugly and looked like a distorted crow with a hollow mask. She didn't like it, so decided to just kill it before it could do any harm or cause any problems to any other shinigami.

Using a shunpo, she closed in on the flying hollow and jumped up into the sky. Once she was of adequate distance, she revealed a hidden arm-mounted steel wire which she threw up at the hollow which then wrapped around its neck. The beast jolted about, trying to get the thing off of it, but it was futile for Ringo had already used that wire to swing up onto the hollow's back before stabbing it numerous times on its spine, each in quick succession.

In a last attack, she dug her kodachi deep into the hollow's back and ran down the length of it from the base of its neck to its spine before jumping off the thing and land safely on a nearby rooftop. The flying hollow succumbed to its wounds as it spiraled down while spraying its blood as it rapidly descended. Then, with a loud crash followed by a dying roar, fell silent.

"Poor things...if only you could have just minded your own businesses and stayed away from this town..."

Ronnel blinked s the Hollow he was chasing after got fried. His eyes twitched twice before he sighed. Eh, she's a higher seat since I don't recognize her from the Academy. Getting mad at her would be like getting mad at my squad's Third seat, pointless and likely to end in pain. He shook off his musings when he heard a faint scream of agony coming from a couple streets over. He growled under his breath about the lack of Shunpo, then charged reiatsu into his legs and jumped up to the roof.
He ran across the rooftops towards the source of the scream. He saw a young female spirit, still human, being set upon by a trio of Hollow. With a snarl, the Berserker Squad Shinigami leapt from the roof top, his blade flashing down. The force of his swing, combined with gravity's pull, allowed his sealed sword to cleave completely through his target. He wasted no time, throwing his blade through another Hollow's chest, pinning it to a nearby building. He grabbed the girl spirit and swung her around quickly so her forehead impacted on the end of his sword. She faded from sight just before Ronnel's hands lashed out and grabbed the mask of the Hollow that he had pinned by the eye sockets.
"Don't. Ever. Mess. With. Humans!" He screamed into its face, then proceeded to tear the mask in half. Before the Hollow could fade, he headbutted the human face beneath the mask to add insult to injury.
The third Hollow opened a tear down Ronnel's side as it struck him, sending him into another building. RUbble collapsed down around him, the resulting dust cloud obscuring him from sight. The Hollow cackled maniacally.
"Ahahaha! Stupid little shinigami! You haven't used any Kido at all, you can't hope to beat me at a long range fight!" Sounds of stirring inside the dust cloud made the creature tilt its head. Its eyes widened in its mask when a large chunk of concrete flew out of the dust, slamming into its legs and shattering them.
"I'm Squad Eleven you fool. We don't like using Kido, swords and muscle are our strengths. " The creature tried struggling, looking around frantically to escape. It moved to hoist the concrete from its body, only to find its arms be cut off.
"Nah ah ah. I've always wondered something - what will happen if we apply the Konpakutou to a Hollow?" The Hollow froze as it heard Ronnel's voice over it. It craned its head up in time to see the hilt of his Zanpakutou slam down into its mask.
The creature writhed in agony for several minutes. Finally, the Shinigami pulled his blade away. He sighed and swung his blade around in an arc, chopping the creature's head off.
"Well, that answers that. Its torture to them. Huh." He shrugged, the winced. The stab wound in his shoulder and the new slice on his ribs were beginning to irritate him. The Fifth Seat shoved them from his mind and climbed back onto the roof, looking for more targets. How many of these things are there anyway?

The Fifth Seat of Squad Eleven landed on the edge of a soccer field. In front of him was a massive Hollow, with horn like extensions on its mask, a long, scythe bladed tail, and bone spikes surrounding its arms. The creature grinned at the Shinigami and bit the head off of the soul of an old man that it had in its hand. The rest of the soul fell to the ground limply as the Hollow smirked at the Shinigami who looked on in rage.
"You cantankerous son of an ale soused soul!" The man's upbringing in the Human realm showed as his rage grew. "I shall take great pleasure in rending you limb from gore drenched limb before smashing your mask in!" The Hollow's smirk grew wider as it brought one spike encircled arm up and waved in a 'come hither' gesture. Ronnel didn't notice its tail stiffening up at the same time, which would lead to problems.
The Fifth Seat rushed forward, his blade flashing up as it drew it out. The Hollow fell back away from the first slash, then caught the second on the bone spikes on its left arm. Its right crashed in, one of the spikes tearing a shallow gash across the front of Ronnel's chest as he fell back himself.
The Hollow's tail had hooked around Ronnel's legs, so that when he moved back, he fell down. The Hollow's tail whipped around, knocking the Zanpakutou from the Shinigami's hand. The Soul Reaper rolled to one side to avoid being impaled on that tail when it shot downwards, then had to keep rolling when it punched down at him with one arm.
He came up onto one knee in time to get kicked by one foot. He flew into a nearby soccer post, knocking the breath out of him. The man growled and came up, his arms glowing as he pumped reiatsu through them. He charged forward and leapt over the tail, stamping down on the end and driving the scythe-portion into ground. The Hollow slammed one fist into him lengthwise, sending him flying.
Or it would have, if he hadn't grabbed two of the spikes and used them to swing himself up over the strike and crash his leg into the Hollow's head. The creature staggered from the heavy blow as Ronnel wrapped his body around the arm he had grabbed and snapped it in multiple places. The Hollow threw him off by punching at him with the other arm, forcing him to jump away.
The Eleventh Squad member spat blood onto the ground and held his sore ribs. He raised his eyes slightly and grinned before rolling forward to dodge a swipe from the Hollow's now freed tail. He snatched up his long sword in midroll and came up to his feet. His blade blocked the next strike from the Hollow. The Shinigami smirked as he rushed in again, now striking to sever the broken arm from the Hollow's body.
The creature bellowed in pain before striking out with its tail again. This time, Ronnel spun his body around, leaning to avoid the strike. His blade flashed out and down, lopping the last five feet from the Hollow's tail off. Without a pause, He swung his blade in and cut one of the legs off with the backstroke. As the beast toppled over, the sword lashed out again, tearing off the other arm. When he cut the other leg off, he grinned viciously.
"I told you. I'm tearing your limbs off before crushing your mask."
The flat of his sword slammed in, causing a spiderweb of cracks to appear on the Hollow's mask. He kept repeating the action, making the cracks widen and deepen. Finally, a portion of the mask fell away, revealing part of the face of the Hollow. Without hesitating, Ronnel flipped his sword around and plunged his blade into the opening.
He jumped backwards when the ground behind the Hollow tore open and massive gates rose up. Large chains festooned the door, with what appeared to be two skeletons molded into the doors themselves. He stepped back as the doors swung open with an ominous creak. The Hollow was lifted into the air before a truly enormous hand holding a knife appeared from the darkness on the other side of the door. The knife pierced the Hollow's body and dragged it back, pulling the monstrous soul into Hell.
"Got ya." He fell to one knee, breathing heavily.

The Generic Villain

A large dimensional gate appeared above Karakura Town as numerous armored Knights from Genesis rained down from the heavens and landed onto the ground with nothing more than a soft thud. As soon as they set foot onto Karakura soil, they immediately went after any nearby Hollows that are in their way with the goal of protecting any living being and innocent soul in the town.

Genesis' Knights, while highly efficient and capable melee fighters, also had hearts hat cared for those in need. While the current war with earth made them somewhat the enemy of half of the population, they were duty-bound to protect and preserve the order an balance of life. It was what they lived for -- they died for -- in this ongoing war with the people who seem to take their actions in the wrong way.

Their Redeemers glistened from the light of the street lamps as they thrust and retracted their glorious lances to impale Hollows and purify them of their sins. Their units were organized in a circular pattern with row upon row of Knights. Their defense was hard to break, but their will to fight and protect even harder to break. Their ranks as solid as a brick wall, enduring wave upon wave of Hollows. In fact, one could even compare them to the Greek phalanx, undeniably efficient.

In the middle of it all was a female knight, adorned with finely crafted accessories and runes that were embedded onto her armor. While her iron helmet covered her face, one could still see the hair of the young lady, beautiful golden locks that danced to the wind. While the knights protected her, she was busy casting a summoning spell with the only she had at her disposal; her voice.

Far away from the chaos and combat in the more active areas of Town, the sound of whimpering could be heard echoing through empty streets. From the direction, exactly opposite of the combat afar, came the pattering of small footsteps. Several young plus souls, all at least under the age of ten, were running away from what was going on in the distance. They all seemed scared out of there wits, stumbling over there feet and oblivious to the looming presence approaching them. After a long drag of literal silence, an elongated snake-like hollow came whipping around a street corner behind where the plus had come from. Turns out they were actually running from something! Half of them turned at the sound of its monstrous growl, being enough to shatter the glass windows and doors of the nearby houses. That same scream was just enough to cover the lot of a certain Shinigami's incantation too.. "... own throat!" As mentioned before, the scream was enough to cover the entirety of the child's voice, excluding the last two words. Before any of the party below, hollow or plus, could react to those single words a spiraling tendril had shot out from one side of the sidewalk, stretching across the street directly in front of where the snakish like creature was traveling. The big creature was easily tangled within the whip's orange-hued spiraling body, a small boy popping up from some conveniently placed bushes in the front of some human's yard. This 5'0" child, wearing a Shinigami uniform, could be seen with both arms above his head, one of them holding onto the tendril that'd tangled the big hollow. The boy had an excited look on his face.. In fact, it was one of a successful hero! "Yeah! Got'em!" As the boy closed in on the large beast, he shouted yippee and proceeded to place his free hand's palm on the hollow's mask. "Tzuri Raiden!" As he spoke the words, both ahnds suddnely became enveloped in lightning-based spiritual energy. The spiritual flow siphoned from the child's hand, entering the frame of the hollow and shocking it wildly. The tendril slowly dispersed, and the boy proceeded to place both hands on the creature! For a short while it resisted the flow, but soon fell lifeless. The child, upon seeing this, drew the little green Kodachi from his back and stabbed at the creature's mask with his hilt. This action elicited a crack, the beast staying silent as it's mask began to crackle and then flick off like a powdery substance. Soon enough, it's frame was no longer visible as it once was; instead, beautiful masses of bluish tinted spiritual particles fluttered up towards the sky before evaporating. The child smiled sincerely as he looked up, his entire frame surrounded by a cyclone of beauty; the dangerous beast had became a beautiful light show of stray particles, flowing lightly about the atmosphere and spiraling around the small child. "Yeah! If my phone's right, that was the only one in this area! Now, all I got'sta do is take care of the stray souls in the nearby neighborhood. I'll start with them over there!" Dynamically, the child swiveled on the ball of both heels, turning to point accusingly towards the gathered crowd of child-sized pluses. They were all his height or slightly shorter, staring with surprised expressions. They were obviously amazed, and in awe of the sight of someone presumably nearing there own age, performing such an impossible task. The shinigami merely put this off as them being scared, and decided to confront them with a smile. Upon nearing them, he held his weapon up in his left hand, using the free one to signal them to come closer, one at a time. They obliged slowly, but eventually found that they were tapped by the hilt of his blade and sent off to.. A better place. This little cycle went on for a good seven minutes, other children having revealed themselves from the lawns of several houses. Though the boy had used magic spells to slay a monster directly in front of them with no problem whatsoever, his permanently calm aura persuaded them to draw closer to them; the fact that he was young, and resembled there age range was a big help too! Noone was afraid of him, and simply was sent on there way to the soul society.. purified and safe, with no wounds or blemishes. Once he was done purifying the crowd that'd recently gathered, he would sheath his weapon and casually look off in either direction to the left and right of him. The little shinigami's wide, cute, and childish eyes were examining the grounds in search of any others. Once he was sure the immediate area was clear, he set off with a bounding leap. This single vertical action sent him to a balancing position, high atop a street post. From this high position he reassured, and reexamined the area. Now he was sure he could go on!

The wounded Eleventh Squad member stiffened when the gateway opened in the air and the Genesis Knights appeared. He struggled to remember what their standing orders concerning the Knights was, but unless he remembered that they were to fight, he was content to let them be as they were attacking the same foe.
"Enemy of my enemy is my ally..." He muttered under his breath as he ducked under a strike from a Hollow, decapitating it as he came back up. He became more worried when the girl appeared and began singing.

((Seriously.. I don't know what Shinigami are supposed to do when the Knights appear...this is the first time I've encountered them...))

(( Me too... @_@ ))

Ringo saw the appearance of the large thing above Karakura before these knights began dropping out seemingly from nowhere. At first, Ringo thought that their presence would bring only nothing but trouble. Before she went to Karakura, she was briefed that they were the ones responsible for all the widespread chaos that has engulfed the entire planet. Them and their stupid war with KyCorp. Because of them everything had gone to hell.

In a fit of rage, she almost allowed herself to make an attempt at the life of one of the knights, but stopped herself from doing so when she saw them defeating the nearby hollows and protect the people and souls of Karakura. Ringo was amazed by this and she didn't know what to do. In her mind, she deliberated and argued with herself, trying to justify as to how the people she was informed of being the cause of the mess are now attacking hollows and consequently aiding the shinigami's effort to protect the town.

"What the...!" she exclaimed to herself, but paused when she felt something creep up behind her and in most cases that wasn't something good. When she turned around, her suspicion was confirmed when Ringo saw a spider hollow about to stab her with its fangs. She was quick to dodge the attack and retaliate with a lethal thrust at the creature's head, killing it.

She allowed herself some time to recover from the incident before looking back at the knights, but she was more interested in the armored lady standing in the middle. Her voice seemed to hold some kind of power which resonated with Ringo's musically-inclined self and her sensitive ears. For her, it was like listening to a chorus of angels which was why she allowed herself to drift off for a while.

(Lol I think that's the shifty part about the situation. Our RPC's thoughts are supposed to get conflicted, I guess.. We're here combating hollows, and are alerted that a separate threat [The Knights] are there and we should stay about our wits; then, we get here and there fightin' there hearts out just as much as we are. Were we given faulty information..? How will our reactions look/be..? Whats up with the pretty blonde chick singing in the middle..? IT'LL ALL BE REVEALED ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF "THE SEREITEI"! -Fading Theme Song- xD!)

The small Shinigami continued his earthly expedition from a mid-level, skipping happily between the heads of light-post lined evenly along the sidewalks. The child held a smile on his face, humming lightly to himself as he pranced about, no sound coming from his graceful trail. Still the child was heading in the direction opposite the hectic battle afar, knowing full well that a stray soul's first option when faced with hollowfied threats was to get the heck away! What better place to catch and purify these souls then the exact areas surrounding the battle..?! "Dooty dooty doo~!" The boy began to make outlandish sound effects aloud, giggling at the same time.. His fun time was halted however, when a few blaring shouts pierced through his head. At that moment he nearly lost balance and went into a comedic pose on one foot. His saucer-like eyes were directed towards an older gentleman, blood running down the right half of his face. The kid's face suddenly became slightly serious, his body continuing to fall forward in a leap from atop the pole. His broad hop brought him downward mere yards to the left of the man, a stealth roll being enough to brace the rather gaping distance he'd cleared. The child, without a word, drew his Kodachi and held it in a one-armed pose.. The man turned just in time to meet a hilt to the forward, his body then beginning to glow and shimmer with bright white and blue energy. The confused person stared down in awe at the child whose eyes were closed and sincere. He couldn't help but to smile back at such a cute child, evaporating after his gesture. The shinigami sheathed his Zanpakuto across his back, placing it within the tasseled casing. The boy whistled nonchalantly, swiveling to turn towards where the man had come running from. He was now on the sidewalk where cars were parked in intervals, hopping over them with large unrealistic leaps. For some odd reason the streets were really clear on this day! He'd heard rumors that stray souls were every which way in this specific town, but it just seemed deserted at this point.

Further more into the ritual, several Knights have already moved back of their formation due to fatigue. It was hard lugging around all that armor and thrusting their heavy, yet powerful, Redeemer lances again and again without feeling exhausted after each thrust of their weapon. However, to think that these Knights, having thrust and retracted their Redeemers for that long whilst wearing all that armor is a clear indication of just how tough these warriors were. The woman in the middle though, seeing her comrades in such a state, hurried with her spell as she wanted to make things fast so she could tend to their wounds.

The woman sang in a higher, faster, and fiercer voice, causing the energy levels around the entire area to soar dramatically. A golden hexagram appeared underneath the woman's feet and with its appearance scatter a large amount of gold-colored energy particles into the surrounding atmosphere. While they were initially in disarray at first, it was clear that something was forming as the golden particles started to cluster together soon after, following the woman's tone of voice. By the looks of it, though, the clustered particles were forming into the shape of an ornate spear.
