Tess was -very- annoyed. He'd made it to the medical facility, and his key was indeed there. However, they insisted on taking a check-up, since it was the next day after the transformation, and that was where they noticed his cold and decided to keep him there for the day. The good thing was he had an absolute excuse to avoid classes. The bad thing was that he was stuck there. He was currently stretched out on a bed in clean, dry, clothes with a damp towel on his forehead, counting the tiles on the ceiling. Lame.

What was worse was that laying down, he was getting even more tired, and his stomach was commenting that it would like something to fill it, even if he didn't feel hungry. Giving a sigh, he shifted the cool cloth to cover his eyes as well. He was starting to fall asleep, by now... He gave a sigh and listened to the things around the building. He couldn't hear as well as he could in his other form, but this was enough... he could hear the pattering of the rain on the roof and walls, and that lulled him to sleep further, a frown over his lips and the blankets kicked to the foot of the bed.

Explaining to a blind person what rain looks like is like telling someone what clouds feel like- you can grasp the idea, but your imagination still has to fill in some blanks of its' own. Isabella Demri stood in the door of her dorm building, her alarm clock having woken her up, letting her know to get ready, get dressed, and head out for breakfast. She'd arrived the night before because of several flight delays, and her mother almost decided to not let her come, after all. However, things turned out for the better, and soon she was on the plane to an airport in Japan. Taking a boat from there, she arrived at Pacis Salus, was given a room to sleep in, and was bid good night.

There was supposed to be someone there to help her during her first day, but she decided to take things into her own hands and not wait for them. Her walking stick was ahead of her, and her eyes were wide and open, often glancing at the blurry light field that was grass, and the darker lights that were some trees in the distance. And then an empty hand was held out as she leaned out the partially open door to feel the drops of rain. She had an umbrella with her, but she wanted to enjoy it for a moment.

After her stomach gave a few grumbles, Bella decided that now would be a good time to head out. She could see people headed to a particular building, and guessed that to be the cafeteria. The umbrella went up, her walking stick went in front of her for anything she couldn't 'see', and she was slowly walking. Her clothes for today consisted of a black over dress that laced down the back and tied into a bow, and then a white under dress with a built-in crenaline. With her blond hair brushed out, and her pale skin contrasting to it all, she almost appeared to be a walking, living, breathing doll.

Approaching the cafeteria, her walking stick hit the doors and she carefully opened them pausing to close her umbrella, before she finished going inside. Looking around, she saw different groups of people, and some alone, as well as a few people seemingly in a line. She stared at it a moment, stopped in the doorway because she hadn't remembered that she couldn't see where the food would be, where the tray would be, and every thing else. And she wasn't sure if she wanted to ask a student or adult for help.

(( I felt like having a female character, for once... and this makes boys and girls relatively even. ))

"Its Harmony," Harmony said to Arkell with a smile before going into the bathroom and changing into comfortable shorts and a t-shirt. After brushing her teeth, she came out of the bathroom and fell onto her bed. Within a matter of minutes she was fast asleep.

Harmony jumped when she heard her roommate shouted something along the lines of getting up and then closed the door. Rubbing her eyes, she sat up in the bed and pushed her legs over the side. I didn't even hear her getting ready, she thought getting up. With a yawn, she grabbed some clean clothes and went into the bathroom. After taking a hot shower, she dried herself off and changed into a pair of dark jean capris, a plain with short-sleeved shirt, and a black tank top. Harmony then dried her hair and seperated it into pigtails that she tied with black ribbion. Walking out of the bathroom, she grabbed a neckalace with a silver heart and put that around her neck. Then, slipping on a pair of white sandals she headed out the door. Coming out of the room, she noticed that it was raining outside. With a sigh, she ran back into her room and quickly grabbed a white hoodie which she pulled on as she heade out of the dorm. Putting up the hood, she made her way to the cafeteria. Harmony paused as she came the the door and noticed a girl standing in the doorway. "Excuse me, do you need any help?" She asked coming up to the girl.

((Sorry, again, that I've been very inactive lately. School started for me last week and I've been very busy with that and cross country. So, it will be harder for me to get on now sadly sad But, I'm at a new school so it'll take me some time to get the hang of things, then I might be able to get on more.))

Isabella heard someone speaking to her, and she turned to look at the girl. Her eyes widened for a moment, before returning to normal. She had just started noticing the difference in the lights that were the students in the cafeteria. And this girls' was different then normal, too. "Ah... I'm not sure." she murmured. She examined the girl with eyes that could obviously see something, but still had that blank stare that almost any blind person carried.

This girl... The light around her seemed to be rounded, more so then usual, and it carried that faint flaming kind of edge to it that her mothers' friend Paul had. She glanced around the cafeteria a moment, before looking at the girl. "I decided not to wait for my guide... and it seems that was a mistake." she murmured, a quick flicker of her lips turning up in a smile. Mother would have never imagined she would see another 'spirit' like Paul's! Let alone a room full of them! So this is what other mutants are like...

((Sorry for my prolonged absence and thank you for ghosting me Alwyn! I had to drive from Colorado to New York *wince*))

Elaina opened her eyes slowly and groaned. Her eyes still were bleary and bloodshot from the night before. Lite had had an accident, it all came flooding back. She sat up slowly and knew without looking that her eyes would be bloodshot from crying in her sleep. She managed somehow to get out of bed and slump to the bathroom where she splashed water on her face and felt a bit better.

Re-entering her room she realized how much it smelled like that rabbit Candice had and she winced, but her stomach growled before she had time to think too much. She grabbed her bag and headed for the cafeteria, still feeling bleary and sad.

((If it's alright, everyone, I'd like for my character to be the first to speak with Elaina this morning. I'm just waiting for Alwyn to reply, then I can post.))

((Playing Will to be passive right now due to some work.))

It wasn't much like Will to be quiet, but today was different since he was already a little annoyed by his fitful sleep. Will amused himself by eavesdropping on the conversation on the other end of the table as he filled his stomach. Ah, Arkell, that's right. That's her name, and the other is Zahzi? As he listened to their conversation, Will wondered if it would be in his best interest to go and play an instrument to calm himself.

Candice walked through the hall looking at her schedule quietly. She turned the corner and ran into the wall moments later. "Ah, What the?" She murmured as she stood up and dusted her clothes off. She looked at the class room numbers and opened a door. She stepped inside and shut the door before realizing it was a closet. "Uh, Ah! Dang it! Monkey slippers." She Grumbled. Candice rattled the door handle but it would not budge. "Uh, I have to use my ability some how...." She looked at the door and sighed. "I am in a pickle."

Marie sat and continued eating. She noticed Will and offered a friendly wave. She ate quickly and decided to go ahead to her first class.

Excusing herself from Zahzi and Arkell, Marie took her plate to the dish washing window and left to climb the stairs to the auditorium and music classes.

She mused around the upper halls, swinging one leg in front of the other in a somewhat humorous manner to anyone possibly watching, but from what she knew, she was alone inthe second floor halls as she arrived to her private practice room and entered.

Logan watched the rain and people, and eventually notice Marie slip off and upstairs. Swallowing the rest of his food, he went and busted his dishes, before slowly he followed. He felt like he should talk to her, and that he wanted to talk to her, since not much had been said the night before. He glanced around before continuing upstairs, just in time to glimpse her disappearing into a room. Not wanting to have her startled and uncomfortable, like what had happened the day before with Sam, he called to her, "Marie- hold on a moment..."

Quickly catching up, Logan grinned from behind his mask, rubbing the back of his head in a bit of a sheepish manner. "I left early and didn't get to talk to you after the movie, last night..." he murmured with a sigh. "It was really fun, and I hope we could do another one, sometime? Maybe, uh... just.. you and me?" He suddenly flushed, realizing what he'd said. "Of course, we could invite other people to watch, but we could run things together so you wouldn't have to do all the work of getting the snacks, and such." he fixed his problem, his cheeks still red and his eyes not quite meeting hers.

"Hmm?" Marie stopped in the movement of pulling her bag off her arm and popped her head out the door to see Logan. Smiling politely she tried to assure him that his slipping off was no probelms at all. If felt like he was apologizing even though he didn't say sorry once.

"Well, I'm glad you had fun. We're all new here, so it good to have little get to gathers where people are at least forced to know some other people instead of being lonely." Slipping back into the room as Logan continued speaking she began pulling her folder of music from her bag when he had said a collection of words that formed the idea of a date, but then he softened it with the add ons about including other people.

"Well, you know," Marie spoke boldly, but she was turned away from him as she did so, setting music up and busying herself so her blush and klutzy moving hands didn't give her away, "If it was only uus we wouldn't have to do much of a set up or organizing at all. Then neither of us would be burdened." She tried to tease a little by turning back around with her black folder in front of her face, her forest green eyes peering over at him in a hidden playful manner.

Logan's cheeks were burning more, and he suddenly wished he had something to hide behind. Of course his mask had to be low enough not to cover his cheeks fully... He started messing with it a bit, his other arm tucked behind his back and his eyes on the floor. "T-That... would be nice..." he mumbled. "W-We... I could bring... snacks mum sent for us, and you just bring the movie, since I don't have any..." he chewed on his lip a little, though it wasn't visible.

"B-But, that is, only if you want to!" his speech rushed out a little faster then he'd hoped, and then he was turning and walking away, highly embarrassed and unable to face her any longer like that. "I-I'll talk to you later..." he called over his shoulder, trying to get downstairs without seeming like he was trying to hide from her so he could pause and breathe and get rid of his blush and actually think, and... and....
PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 1:39 pm

"Logan..." Marie started as he left. She was only teasing him, but now she felt a bit bad about it all. He was so nervous sounding and from what she could see from his face he had been blushing. Her red face was reveal as she dropped the folder from her face as she turned to leave.

Marie worried a bit but decided not to chase after him, knowing it would probbaly embaress him more. She soon smiled though after her dissappeared and leaned against the door frame with a little laugh before she closed the door and began to take to her studies.

Logan got down about half the stairs before he paused to breathe and settle down. He pulled off his mask and then buried his face into his hands, groaning softly. He shouldn't've taken off like that... she probably thought he was addle-brained, or a total loony, or... or something... He took a deep breath and slowly let it out, getting his blush down to a controlled level before he made it go away completely. "You, my friend, are terrible at talking to girls." he mumbled to himself.

After composing himself, and getting his heart to stop trying to run a marathon, Logan replaced his mask and wandered down the rest of the stairs.

(( Forgive me, Kiree, but I'm gonna have the bell ringing soon, so I'm gonna speed things up a bit with Isabella. ))

Isabella noticed another person heading to the building, and she could see that they seemed to have an expression of relief as they got closer to the doors. She stepped out of the way as the woman came in, and blinked as a hand was rested on her shoulder.
"You shouldn't give us a scare like that, Isabella Demri. I'm here to help you with breakfast and to get to your classes until you get the hang of things."

Bella nodded to the woman a moment before turning to the girl who had come to help. "It seems someone's here to help me. Thank you, however, for your offer." she gave a light curtsy, and then let herself be led off through the breakfast line, following her nose as to what smelled good and what she wanted to eat. Eventually, she was sitting at a table with her escort, nibbling on some toast, eggs, a piece of ham, and some hot cereal with raisins, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

((apoligies for my inactivity. I am writing another student character to compensate))

Huilliame, done eating, went back to his dorm to get a long leather coat to keep the rain off. He sighed when he looked out the window. It was going to be a long, wet day. He also pulled on his boots as well. Better to be able to grip the floor. He checked his P.E. schedule for the day. Swimming. He grabbed his black and red trunks out the closet and a second towel and packed them. He guessed training today would be a little more intense. He also pulled out his chemistry book since he had some homework for it to do in study hall.

Another email arrived on the Heads computer from the same email as before. It read out "Sarah, please inform the students I need them to assemble on the beach at lunch time. I will be delaying the training period tonight for half an hour as compensation. Odin.

Harmony simply nodded her head, not really knowing what to reply. She was slightly confused why the girl needed a guide. "No problem," Harmony mummbled as she watched the girl go off to get breakfst with her quide. "Duh, she is blind stupid." Harmony muttered, slapping her forehand with the palm of her hand. " Or, at least something like that I'm guessing." she said, just thinking outloud. As a shiver ran down her back from the rain, she finally headed into the cafeteria. Grabbing an apple, two pieces of toast, and orange juice, she quickly found a table and sat down. Harmony wasn't feeling that hungry, but she knew that she would regret the small breakfast once classes started.
