Lazenca knew it wasn't over, because he hadn't been whisked away yet. So after briskly walking to the center again, he crossed his left hand over his face, the right dangling at his side.

"Don't make me chase you." Wether or not Silver heard him, it was said and he meant it. He would commend the guy on fighting so hard and long, but Laz was going to end it in the worst of ways if this actually turned into a hunt.

It was very faint, but he heard that. There would be no way to jump back up there without being attacked the moment he landed, so he would have to lure Laz away from his high-ground advantage.

Though he was hurt, Silver could still jump fairly well. Mustering his stregnth, he would jump platforms away from Lazenca, occasionally going higher and lower. He was carefull to watch behind him for movement.

If Lazenca didn't move, well... he had a plan for that as well.

Then... it was a hunt.

Walking backwards, he shifted wolf. For a moment, he looked around at the platforms, then Silver's direction of travel. Hey... wasn't this the direction the spear had been tossed? Laz assumed that it was on the forest floor, however many feet that was. Though, the thought of recovery occured to him. Now that's what he looked for... one couldn't hide a spear too well while platform jumping.

With all of his observations, he leaned forward and leapt off the platform, travelling the course he'd set. As new platforms came, he had to keep adding to it, but it was no problem. A slight moment to calculate how hard to jump, and he was in the air. Silver had put some space between them, but Lazenca, apparently moving so fast that his he created a shadow trail behind him, was closing in.

"I warned you..."

It was doubtful that there was any bottom to this dreadful place. It was the void, afterall. Though the thought had crossed his mind, and it was entirely possible that the spear was on another platform somewhere waaaaaay down. However, he'd never make it. Not even close.

The wolfen was catching up... fast. After one more jump, he waited at the far edge of the platform. He literally teetered on the edge. If he would go anyfurther, Lazenca would just intercept him in midair and rip open his innards. It'd be a miracle if he got out of this alive...

And so he did catch up, with Silver stopping. Dropping down on the other side of the platform, he lowered the front of his body to the ground, hind up. Not a submission of any kind... with fangs bared, ears back, snarl present, his intent was obvious. But...

"Do you yield?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 29, 2006 8:27 pm

Silver closed his eyes for a brief moment, hesitating slightly. After such a struggle, should he give out without a fuss? It might save him the pain, but if this wasn't really going to kill him, why give up? It was a matter of honor.

His eyes darted open as he gestured for the Wolfen to come closer. If he charged he'd be crushed, he'd have to wait for the wulf to come to him.

His intent couldn't be clearer.

Thought not. So, Lazenca backed up to the edge again, then sprinted forward. There wasn't that much distance to travel on these short platforms. Five feet from Silver, he feinted left and dropped his body again. This stopped his momentum enough to ensure that he wasn't going to go sliding off the edge in case he missed. The guy was waiting to play matador with him... that was obvious.

There was something else, though... a trick of the eyes? When he dropped his body and seemed to come to a near halt, his after-image immediately leapt up from Lazenca's body attatching itself to Silver's right leg with piercing teeth. Its size and momentum, along with a quick body "snap" motion it did in midair while tethered to the leg, would create a very sharp pull to the Silver's right. He was free to resist it, but he'd be sacrificing his leg to do so.

Somewhere back there, likely when Lazenca was preparing to jump and was looking around, he'd performed the Doppelganger tech. It was as physical, big, strong, and fast as Laz... just completely black.

Maybe it was a bit too obvious what he wanted Laz to do. However, it was too late to change his course of action. It would have been great if it would have worked, but it looks stupid becuase it didn't.

Moonblade dropped down and grabbed onto the ledge with his hands. "Laz" went sailing over his head. He was sure of it. Closing his eyes, he pulled himself back up. Immediatly he went to a kneeling position, panting.

He relized something was wrong when he wasn't transfered back. That was when he opened his eyes and saw the enormus wolf gazing back at him.

"...s**t..."

The Doppelganger missed, completely. It landed on the very edge of the side, and sought frantically to regain balance. Maybe it would be able to catch, maybe it'd plummet to a lower platform. It didn't matter.

Lazenca's momentum had almost stopped with his feint, but it was redirected. A change of velocity. The Doppelganger was made to attack first. Silver was supposed to be tripping across the edge, his back turned to Laz while the Doppler averted attention. Though it missed, it worked out even better.

Instead of jumping up, Lazenca only had to go straight ahead of him.

Silver falls to the ground, purple blood gushing from his throat. That mistake had cost him the battle, and in the real world would have cost him his life.

His empty-white eyes stared onward at the one who butchered him before he was wisked away.

With a sudden burst of energy, Ryugi Kazamaru found himself once more in the etherial void, however, this time, the course had already been created for his use...

The massive cathedral had shallow water of about two feet deep running to either side of what appeared to be the main platform, and along both sides were two large fountains. Over the edge of the railing, after a fall of about thirty feet or more seemed to be another flattened area where another massive fountain came from the ground below, and another area that looked like it could be fought apon...

He then unshiethed Ragnarok and stood with his back to the railing, awaiting his opponent...

The Void is something no one can really explain. For some, it's their way to accept death. For others, it's the dream world. For others still, it's the land of nightmares. For Ryugi Kazamaru and Griff Morivan, it was definitely the dream world. Griff had slipped into this world a time or two, but Ryugi appeared proficient in this plane of existance. Griff, however, was never ready for this.

Awakening inside the large church like building, Griff realized that this could only be that place, and instantly jumped to the ready. His left hand ducked down to his right hip, holding the hilt of Breath. His emerald katana instantly began to glow in anticipation, as did the falcon amulet around his neck. He was not ready to go down without one hell of a fight.

Walking about with careful steps, the Aeromancer was making sure to scan every nook and cranny for the soul he was destined to take on. It wasn't until he came down to the main shrine that he saw anyone. His breath sharpened, and he kept it held in for a while. Maybe he should announce himself. Turning to get a better view, Griff realized who it was. Ryugi Kazamaru! That guy from Ryugin in Heaven or Hell! Griff was actually a fan of the team, and he rooted for them viciously. He dropped his guard a smidge.

"Ryugi... To think, in another world, you're up on a blimp somewhere, snoozing till your turn. I guess your soul wants a little more practice?" His sword was still drawn, and he was obviously refering to himself as 'practice'. "So. You up for it?"

I'm always up for a little practice, my dear opponent. But be warned, I cannot afford to lose.

He drew Ragnarok onto his shoulder and awaited the man's first move.

"Haha... Name's Morivan. And don't worry, I'll make it painless!" His katana still rest calmly in his left hand but it was soon raised up, his left hand closer to the guard, his right hand taking hold a few inches below. He scooted his footing out some, his right foot some two or three feet out infront of the left, which was turned. His right was at 12 O Clock, his left being at 10.

"I am Griff Morivan. The Emerald Avian. And you!" He shouted out. "Are going down!"

Twisting both arms to his right, placing the tip of his katana to the ground, The Avian walked slowly, picking up speed with every few steps until he was in a full blown run, the blade leaving behind whips of dust and air until he was right in Ryugi's face, which he pulled a sharp upward slice. "Eat this!"

Ryugi was ready, and as Morivan dashed towards him, sending the katana into an upwards slash, Ryugi jumped into the air over Morivan! Griff would be moving foreward still, towards the railing, or he'd be slowing down after his strike, either one would be perfect for Ryugi's attack.

As he jumped, Ragnarok fell behind to Ryugi's back and then Ryugi flipped into a front flip, Ragnarok spinning around him in a vicious slash. But the first bit wasn't the real danger, it was the returning flip. For as Ryugi flipped away from his opponent, Ragnarok would spin around behind Ryugi and aim a slash directly for Griff's unprotected back.

Hit or miss, Ryugi would land about six feet away from the katana wielding swordsman.
