Alice curled up, not exactly hugging herself because her hands shook so violently. They shook more than they usually did. Alice focused on keeping very still, but the pain was terrible. Just because she'd heal from it, didn't mean it wouldn't hurt and she was breathing heavily, holding back screams.

He reloaded his gun, and shot her a few more times in main pressure points to paralyze her. "Hopefully, the shot to the side of the head will not cause too much mental damage for now." Walking over and looking down at her, he sighed. "It is not my goal to hurt people, but to save them. I'm sorry your stubborn attitude got in the way of this, and because of our lack of time... forced me to hurt you in such a way."

Alice's body was frozen, but her eyes followed him, glaring. "I hope...he kills you." She slurred, surprised she could talk, let alone breath. There was just...so much acid.

He tied her up in a matter of seconds, then picking her up, leaving the violin case, vanished into the night. I'll give Edward, seeing how he has escaped... a hint, at the very least.

Edward came running into the forest hours later, in a mad search for Alice. After searching the places in the forest that she normally would go all he found was her violin case. "Damn it, Lanius got to her."

Mim reached Edward and froze. "Lanius got her? s**t..." Running her fingers through her hair, she sighed, but something caught her eye. "Is that...acid?" She mumbled, kneeling down. Whatever it was, it was eating into the earth.

Edward looked at is as well. "That is what it looks like... Lovely." Edward looked around for something that would give him a sign as to where they were heading. "Mim, do you trust me?" he was looking at her seriously. Even more so then when he told her he loved her all that time ago.

"Edward..." She whispered. "Please don't go by yourself. You can't do this alone. You may think you can, but you'll die, Edward." She held the violin against her chest, watching him and frowning. She did trust him...she just didn't trust others.

"Fine, but if you don't come back, it's your a**." She glared, turning to walk away, but stopped and sighed. "Edward..." Mim mumbled, looking frustrated. Finally, she threaded her fingers through Edward's hair and pulled him down into a kiss. Breaking the kiss, she glared at him. "Stupid b*****d..." She mumbled, walking off with the violin.

"NOW YOU KISS ME!" He started laughing. "Well I guess fate does have a sense of humor." Edward started wondering around the forest again looking for clues that might lead to where they where heading.

Before Edward got outta earshot, she yelled. "You bet! Something about the forest...it's like a aphrodisiac!" She chuckled, leaving the forest to return to Haven.
