"Only once," Lin replied back, "It's hard to get up there by yourself, I haven't managed it yet."
She just wanted to go this time to visit someone.
"Normally I try clmbing it, but I need someone to watch first."

"What if I watch you?" Celebor asked Lin eagerly. "Would you be able to climb up then? If I climb with you?"
She hadn't told him what was up there yet, and now he was curious.

Lin thought about it she supposed it was possible, "Okay, but you need to help me down if I can't get down, because I tend to keep going up until I get sleepy."
And then a long nap was in order.

"You're not going to even try without an adult there to watch you as well," Daeron put in firmly as he rose from the table. "It's too dangerous for children alone, especially if you do manage to make it to the top."
He pushed his chair in and made as if to leave.

Celebor reached out and grabbed Daeron's hand as he turned to leave.
"Will you come with us then?" he asked hopefully, his green eyes sparkling with eagerness. "I never been there before, and I wanna see it! I don't wanna wait, I always have to wait for everything!"

"You did say," Lin pointed out to Daeron.
Since Daeron was the one to point out that they needed an adult to get there, then that was nearly volunteering for the job.
"And you are an adult."

Daeron didn't want to say that he had other things that he needed to do. In all honesty, it wasn't as if he was on a schedule, and besides that he knew his mother would be quite happy if he would stick around home a bit longer than usual.
He smiled down at Lin and Celebor. "Of course I can," he said softly. "But I think you two need to eat your breakfasts first," he added pointedly, nodding at their plates.

Celebor grinned widely and picked up his fork.
"I'll eat real fast!" he promised, and started wolfing down his food.

Lin ate, but she didn't eat that fast. She had learned the hard way at home that eating face and then running around was not a good idea. Personally, Lin didn't want a tummy ache while climbing steps that wouldn't do her any good at all.

"Slow down, Celebor," Daeron cautioned the boy. "You'll make yourself sick at that rate, and you won't be able to climb at all."
The last thing he needed was for another of Elnara's children to get sick while the family was watching them.

Celebor glanced up at Daeron and pouted slightly, but he slowed down obediently.
"Okay," he mumbled. "Just don't start without me."

Lin didn't understand why anyone would start without Celebor, after all she wasn't eating any faster than he was doing now. And even though Celebor was probably going to finish before her since he had a running head start.

Daeron couldn't help but laughed. "Of course we're not going to go without you," he chuckled, reaching over and ruffling Celebor's hair affectionately. "So take your time and eat properly."
He sat down again so that it wouldn't look like he was going to disappear on them.

"Okay," Celebor agreed with a mouth full of food. He washed it down with a swallow of milk and kept on eating.

Lin drank a bit of her milk, but only enough to wash it down. She didn't like milk very much, but her Daddy said it was good for her, but it made the back of her throat feel funny. She much rather have whatever that white stuff her Daddy had in the morning that wasn't milk.
