Faust noticed Netsubo's surprise. "Oh, yes, I know Hao," Faust said. "Some years ago he approached me and asked me to join a 'team' he was forming. For a big fight... I declined. He threatened to kill me and Eliza, but... you and Mephisto saved our lives."

"Like you, maybe," Faust said, smiling. "Sandalwood and cherries. My favorite scent. If she smelled like me, it would be latex and alchohol, the perfumes of an operatory."
"I'm worried about you, Johann."
"Don't be."
"Are you losing grip on reality? Tell me the truth."
