*Chris finished by armoring up and doing the Anti-Gravity Lean before falling into the booth with Jen. He armored down and grinned.*
Doing that lean thing is impossible without the armor. So, did you like your surprise?
*The other patrons glared and whispered behind their drinks as the band moved back to the jazz music they came to listen to.*

Wally_West Deuce Gorgon was a green-haired kid with a mohawk that looked like snakes. He was wearing a part of dark sunglasses even though the lights were dimmed in the gym."Yeah, it is. Achilles, this is Deuce, he's Monster High's running back, so he's sort of the Wally West of their football team. And he's-" "A HUGE FAN!" Deuce held out a hand to shake Achilles'. "Dude, my moms has told me all about you. I'm like halfway there to asking you for an autograph or something." "A what?" Achilles blinked, caught off guard by the boy's enthusiasm at having met him and shaking his hand vigorously. "An autograph." Patroclus explained. "I think that's where you write your name on something for people who admire you." "Oh..." he turned back to deuce and shrugged. "If you like...but who is your mother? How does she know me?" Deuce smiled, looking for a napkin and fishing for a pen. "Oh! My mom's Medusa." He saw the expression on both pat and Achilles's faces and held his hands up. "Hey, she's mellowed out a LOT since the days...or so I hear. Anyway..." He held the napkin and pen out to Achilles and the big guy coined 'Killer' felt his cheeks heat up just a bit at the new wave of attention and he scribbled his name, in ancient Greek none the less, and handed it back to Deuce who nodded. "Sweet!" And he tucked the napkin into his pocket. "Mom is so going to wish she had agreed to help chaperone now!" as his girlfriend stood up and offered her hand to Achilles. "Cleo DeNile. Charmed, but I'm sure you've heard of me." "No." Cle blinked. "No? Cleo DeNile. Fearleading Captain? Daughter of the Mummy?" "The who?" Achilles blinked, exchanging a glance with Patroclus, unaware of the spoiled nature of he girl. Cleo sighed, exasperated, "The Mummy! The most famous Mummy in ancient Egypt!" "Which one?" Pat asked. "Excuse me?" Cleo asked, caught off guard. " Which Mummy?" Patroclus asked. "Does history not say Egypt had many?" Deuce tried unsuccessfully to hide a light grin with Wally as the girls from Monster high stifled their giggles behind their hands.

"Awesome!" Jen said. "It's as good as your singing, which is a complement by the way."
Jen opened her purse and checked to see how much money she had.
"I'll go get some drinks, must have been thirsty work, my shout. What'll be your poison?"

It was hard to hide the momentary disappointment on Wallace's face, but it was gone as quickly as it was there. "If you have to go home to your family, you can for the whole break. You probably should. Didn't you skip Thanksgiving?"
As for Wallace ... he'd go home for Boxing Day...and ...well, that wouldn't be so bad. "I should probably go home to my family too."

"No, I don't...I shouldn't..." Hartley took a deep breath and sighed as the last of his lovely little fantasy faded away. "I mean I'd like to spend part of the holidays with you. If that means having to put up with BillyandTeddy for a bit, I'd rather suffer through that and have time with you away from school than spend the whole two weeks with my parents, sitting around the mansion."

"Uh...would you want to meet my parents?" Wallace asked hopefully. "I think they'd like you."
Hell, they'd like any solid boyfriend who Wallace had been seeing for more than the ten minutes it took to properly make out with him.

"I don't know." Hartley actually blushed. "I don't think I make a very good first impression."

"...I think you do all right," Wallace said, trying to recall when he'd even met Hartley in the first place. Hadn't it been when they'd tried to crash Billy's birthday date with Teddy? He'd certainly liked him right off the bat.

*Wow. Cassie never liked him singing. This was awesome!*
Uh...just a Coke. I kinda had a bad run in with alcohol a few weeks back. I, er, almost streaked at the basketball game.
*Chris blushed.*
Thanks though.
*He idly wondered when Jen would Hulk down...or in...or whatever. The She Hulk thing was hot but he though regular Jen was great. Maybe he shouldn't bring it up...he wasn't sure how this whole Hulk thing worked. Maybe she liked be green better.*

"Well, I mean...if it's okay with them. Your parents." Were they agreeing to ditch BillyandTeddy and run away to Canada together? Hartley briefly fantasized about him and Wallace at the top of some large Canadian mountain, BillyandTeddy locked in the gilded cage...and then Wallace gave the cage a kick and it started rolling down the mountain...faster and faster...
Hee, hee, hee, hee...
"Hee, hee..."

"They'd be thrilled if I brought someone home," Wallace said with a shrug. He gave Hartley a side-eye when he giggled, but then just assumed he was drunk and happy, and he gave him a little squeeze.

"Well, then...let's do it!" Hartley felt mature and proud of himself. Doctor Quinzel would be thrilled. This was a thing where Wallace had made the suggestion, and Hartley had agreed to it. Just like she'd said he needed to start doing.
Yes, he'd retreated into a little mountain-kicking fantasy at the time, but hey. Baby steps.
The two of them exited the dance floor to plan logistics of the trip.

Theo Altman "You should let me lead then instead of trying to lead yourself. Since we're both dudes...we both can't lead." Teddy guided Billy's hands to where they should be placed, and he began to lead him on the dance floor. "Wait...why do you get to lead? I'm just as much a dude as you are."
Billy looked up sheepishly and broke into a bit of an impish grin as Teddy started to move him to the music.
"Well I am!"

It took just a touch longer than desired, but Cleo DeNile finally managed to explain successfully to Achilles and Patroclus of just who her father was, and thus, why she was so deserving of their admiration. It also helped that Waly promised Achilles and Pat a 'moo-vee' marathon of classic Mummy movies, or as Cleo referred to as, biographical pictures.
Of course, it worked as a two-way situation. Once Wally and Deuce explained to Cleo that Achilles' father was Zeus, the King of the gods, that placed him of a social standing that was deserving of hanging out with her on equal, or near equal footing.
All of the Monster High kids, along with Wally, Achilles and Patroclus, sat at the shared table and exchanged stories until finally the business seemingly would be at hand.
Achilles looked at Wally, "No, what is this about a rescue mission for a school mascot?"

Jen didn't say anything as Chris blushed, she was slightly tempted to spike his drink just to see him streak.
'No bad Jen, don't use him as a toy,'
She grabbed two cokes, determined to stay a good girl for now. She wondered if he was okay with her being She-Hulk. He seemed though he was looking away a lot. Jen assumed it was probably because her large chest was eye level.
"Y'know I never get id'd as She-Hulk but as Jen it happens all the time, I even get asked if I want a child's ticket when I go to the movies. It's really annoying."
