Wait, this was a gay update? I didn't think so. We found out what happens when someone hits you when you got the Smash ball, we found out about Pity Final Smashes, and it was confirmed that Smash Balls can be turned off.

Well ********, break out the character confirmations already? Never mind the two months worth of updates that was suddenly taken into affect. I EXPECT AN UPDATE AS IMMENSE AS SONIC EVERY DAY! D<

Good thing I'm not Sakurai, or this game would suck I would stop giving out updates =/
Amen.

I wonder if Smash Balls will be in tournaments?
Very unlikely.
Pro tournaments anyway. The official Cult tourney will have every item, you bet.

*groan*
Even the curry and Golden Hammer?

Seriously, those thing aren't even freaking right. The curry is supposedly unstoppable
Yep.

I'm sure other guilds will have official tourneys without items.
Hell, go to Smashboards.

I don't want no items. That would suck, and take out half of the fun of the new mechanics.

I just really don't like the Curry. Pro Smashers even with the new advanced techs can't even get through it.

I don't know anyone on SmashBoards. Why would I got there?

Good. Then you'll have to scramble to get it, and if you don't, you'll have to get hit.

Because Smashboards is where they talk about advanced techniques, and tournament play. The stuff you and Sauvie seem to have become obsessed with.

You didn't know anyone in the Cult before you joined, did you?

Fish, I'm so happy the official tournament has everything turned on. It better stay that way. And Tatsu, how do you know the Superspicy Curry is "unstoppable," anyway?
Also, Pity Final Smashes are sexy.

Okay, say one person were to camp the item spawn locations and get the Curry, then SHFFL combo everyone with the unstoppable item.

That would just suck the fun out of the game right there.

Have you ever been to SmashBoards? Sure, they do talk about such things, but not everyone there is a tournament player.

No. But I loved Nintendo, and this seemed like the right guild. I'd like to think I made the right choice.
I can't help but feeling you're telling me to leave...

[Denko]
It's an unstoppable wall of fire in front of your character, that doesn't stop even when you attack.

Think Fire Flower, only you can move freely and still do all of your moves with it.

If you've got all the items on, and the spawn rate set to average, I can see the Curry spawning maybe two times max. Is anyone gonna have the patience to get the hell beat out of them waiting for some Curry? I don't think it's realistic to say that the Curry is gamebreaking, especially for the fact that it's incredibly hard to camp one spot, waiting for one item out of 100.

Then you kill them on the spawn point, and tell them that they're a b***h.

No, not everyone there is, but a lot of them are. I went there once, and I just wanted to throw up. I'll stop from saying tourneyfag anymore, but seriously.
Tourneyfags.

I'm not telling you to leave. It just seems like you're not going to like the way we do the tournaments, and so as such, you should find somewhere that holds tournaments suited to the way you like to play.

Edit: Or you just shoot them as they camp.

it probably only lasts for 15 seconds. if that.
but yeah it might be possible that there will be no specific item spawn "points" maybe it'll be more like a radnom engine that will pick all the locations where an item can safley land and drop one there.

Heh. I'm pretty sure I'll be joining this tourney if I'm allowed. =P

A couple question -
Will there be teams?
If so, will there be friendly fire (I'm actually for friendly fire, that way it isn't all about spamming the strongest move/quickest projectile over and over, but more on using the right move at the right time and avoiding your partner)?

Great idea in theory. Kinda like Fox's speed doesn't mean everything in Melee matches. But it obviously does.
I am so glad he got nerfed in Brawl though. No Shinespike for you, bastards.

There are actually a fair amount of casual smashers. One actually runs a great podcast called Show Me Your News.
Really the only reason I have a SmashBoards account. With 2 posts, but still.

Meh. I'm not going to go find another forum to play dudes I barely know. Smashing with friends is the best part of the game.

Projectiles aren't very effective in the demo from what I've heard. Pit's arrows are evil though.

not a lot is clear on vs. though wi-fi, i say it would be cool to have team tournies once and awhile, but who knows it could just end up free for all.

Seriously, though, what kind of b***h camps at item spawn points? Have you ever done or played someone that did that in Melee? I wouldn't even know where to stand. It's not like you can really camp anyway, because generally stages are small, and items are very random in their appearance.

I never got that far. I can't stand the people there. "I won't buy Brawl if they take wavedashing out!" I wanted to attack their forums one day, but we never got enough people.

Um, that's all still to be determined. As for my opinion, I want everything to basically be default Brawl settings. So, I don't think I want friendly fire on.
Teams, I'm not sure. It would be cool, but it would also be harder to get everyone on Brawl at once.
Scheduling all that would be a b***h. XD

Assholes, Fish. Assholes.
I don't think we have any of those caliber assholes in the Cult. But still.
Yes, it is possible to camp the item spawn locations. It was done a lot in Melee tourneys back when items were legal.

Oh yea, I hate those people as well. Wavedashig isn't that big of a deal. But if they want to deprive themselves of a great game, the ******** 'em.
