"You just found out yesterday-- so Yugi and Kawi don't know?" Atem asked, looking at Ember. "Do you want to tell them, or would you rather wait?" Ryou stirred and woke up to feel the warmth of someone sleeping next to him. He rolled over, curling around that person. If he stayed in this half-asleep mode long enough, he could imagine that it was her. Just this once. As soon as he opened his eyes, though, he knew that the vision would be over. He would look up and see-- Ryou felt something brush lightly against his cheek, and his eyes fluttered open. He glanced up and smiled slightly at Khalid. "Just because we're married doesn't give you any right to start sleeping with me." Khalid laughed softly, bending down and kissing Ryou's cheek. They hadn't done anything at all last night; never did and never would. "You wouldn't stop shaking. I was worried. Come on, hubby, it's time to get up. It's a brand new day!" Ryou mumbled something and buried his face in the blankets.

Ember smiled "We can tell them."
Kawi who had been woken up ealy by kai knocked on ryous house door holding kai in her arms.

Khalid sat up when he heard knocking. "Some people just can't learn doorbells, can they?" He grumbled, nudging Ryou. "You go see who it is. If it's Atem, he might hit me. You're safe." Ryou complained softly, but got up. A few minutes later, Ryou opened up the door. He relaxed when he saw it was Kawi. "Oh, hello." He said, smiling softly.
"Will we need to get books? I can go get books." Atem said, sounding a bit hyper. "We can look up information, make sure you get the right nutrition and exercise, all of that good stuff."

Ember giggled "If you want to....I need to call the doctors and make an appointment...."
Kawi smiled "ello ryou.I brought you your little bundle of joy...he sure wakes up early.."
Kai quietly looked at his father before asking "Da no love kai no more?"

Ryou's eyes widened at Kai's words. They had just come out of nowhere. Why would Kai even think like that? "What? No, Kai, of course I still love you!" Ryou said, sounding hurt that Kai would even think that. Ryou's hurt turned to anger almost instantly, and his eyes were on Kawi. "What have you been telling my son? Was it you? Or was Yugi involved in this as well?" He hissed, his voice sounding remarkably like Bakura's. "Oh, right, doctors!" Atem said, clapping his hands together. "Doctors are wonderful people. Yes, of course you'll need to go see one."

"Wha?" Kawi said shocked "I havent told him anything! He fell asleep when we left here yesterday and all he talked about this morning was that his monkey liked fruit loops!" Kai smiled once he heard hisfathered liked him "Futti futti!"

Ryou took a step backwards, clearly not believing her. "Liar. You must have donne something. Normal toddlers don't go around asking things like that. You planted some kind of idea in his head!"

Kawi frowned "I wouldent do such a thing!Your the only person kai has left!" Kai whimpered as ryou backed away thinking his father was going to leave him "Dada no go...."

Khalid's face popped up behind Ryou. He rested his chin on Ryou's shoulder, looking at Kawi, pretending he hadn't been listening in and had no idea what was going on. "Oh, is she dropping Kai off? That's nice. Do you need any money for babysitting him, Kawi?" Khalid said, deciding to spare Ryou from having to answer Kawi.

Kawi shook her head no "Oh no. I love watching him. He's a darling.No money needed. It's what friends do." Kai was still reaching out for ryou "ddaaddyyyyyy" Kawi smiled softly. She steped forward and put kai in ryou's arms. Kai cooed happly clinging to him father.

"Ah. Well, if you need anything else, go ahead and call." Khalid said, pushing Kawi away before shutting the door rather suddenly in her face. Ryou was silent, holding on to Kai and shaking slightly. "Don't take what he said personally. He's just a kid, after all." Khalid said softly to Ryou, noticing that the boy was distressed.

Kai was quiet happy now that he was in his fathers arms. He was grasping ryou's shirt in one hand and hand his thumb in his mouth.

Ryou hugged Kai close to him. "I don't know why he would ask something like that. I mean, nothing happened yesterday that he should know about... We dropped him off at Yugi's, went out, and then the others came by." Ryou shrugged. "I just don't understand..."
"Just put him in his room." Khalid said, patting Kai's head. "Play with him for a while. It's not even like he remembers any of that. I've got something I need to do right now."

Kai looked up to his father when he heard the word play "play dada play!"
Kawi had left now walking home.
Atem and ember had been talking. soon she covered her mouth "Exsuce me.." she said beforerunning to the bathroom and getting sick.

Ryou smiled weakly. "Yes, Kai, let's go play." He said, casting a glance at Khalid before heading upstairs with Kai. Atem's brow furrowed; he would have to find out how long this sickness thing would last. Poor Ember. He hopped up to his feet, deciding to make breakfast. Khalid watched silently as Ryou left, then smiled to himself. He went outside, towards the sakura tree. He sat down on a bench they had put next to it; sometimes Ryou would come down here and just sit for hours on end, not saying anything, not moving, nothing. It wasn't really a requirement for Khalid to be close to the body, since the soul would be long gone, but it did help his concentration. He closed his eyes, focusing all of his energy into trying to locate Kira. He had done this a few times before; his most recent time being with Ryou. It was difficult work. He never liked it.
