Taigaa-tono -pets Ichi- Wait... how can you not consider yourself religious if you have a verse in your sig? Because religion is what got Jesus hung to a cross. Being Christ-like is as it sounds. Religion is ritualistic and holds no real value to someone if it isn't of their own choosing. I think the term Christian has become to associated with people who are religious. Like take for instance the person who yelled at you for being intimate with the same gender. There's a Christ way of doing it then the religious way. Christ's way is showing love and acceptance; accepting the person but not their sin. You aren't witnessing to anyone if all you're doing is shoving religion down their throat and pointing put every one of their faults... It's sort of a lot to explain… While I am against un-heterosexual relationships, I don't hate the person that does something that's gay; I just hate the sin. Does that make sense? I'm not always the best at explaining myself.

I get what you're talking about. It's what people call the difference between a True Christian and a church member. That said, I don't think we should talk too much about religion. That and politics are the fastest way to lose friends. sweatdrop

I agree with Ichi on every point...although if I ever saw a homosexual IRL, I wouldn't accept them. I'd simply walk away or avoid them like that ADD kid you feel sorry for and wish that he or she could have been born healthy, but don't want to talk to. (Yes, again, a dangerous statement to make on Gaia, but that's the only part of what Ichi said that I slightly differ).
But just to clarify if I was invited to an anti-homo rally or something, I would respectfully decline. How is yelling with a bunch of people who likely also think along the lines of 'Thank God for Dead Soldiers' and don't have anything better to do going to prove anything?
The church...well, I wouldn't say the members are corrupt at all, Virgil. Some of the people working for it, however, are. That's organized religion for you.
I shall now retreat for two hours. Community service calls.

Hmm...I think you missed my point a bit there Demon. I won't go into it however, because, as I said, I think this convo should end asap. People get easily hot-blooded over topics like this.
As such, I will change the topic, now: Isn't it just great being the rookie at work and having all the senior staff play practical jokes on you?

My mom locked her keys into the car today when I went to go meet her for lunch. D= so I was late for work. Again. ~.~

You devote yourself to his ideas and the teachings of the Bible, if only to a certain degree, correct? That makes you religious. ><
It's a sin to love someone? Let's not go there, I take great offense to that idea. It's like Daniel Tosh said; Quote: Women have to go through painful childbirth. And what do guys get? We have to deal with women. God doesn't hate gays, he's just pissed because they found a loophole in his system. How you feel if you laid out a punishment and guys were like.. "yeah, we're just going to sleep with each other."Personally I like that outlook better, but all in all I don't practice following a God, mostly because I find the idea of a higher power that treats me like a pawn to be a little over the top. There's also the matter of this which I believe makes a funny argument. Then there's Epicurus' trilemma and so on and so forth. But don't quote me, my knowledge of such things is slim because I choose to avoid the subject. I also don't want anyone thinking I'm bashing them for believing such things, I'm just saying that I think the concept of blindly following a book is ridiculous. I tend to sway more towards the Greeks and their beliefs of multiple Gods and Goddesses that rule certain aspects of Life and Death, and not just one supreme being in which every ******** thing is at his whim. >< Back to Fairy Tail I go! scream
