Drow with Spanish accents would totally make my life. surprised That would be so amazingly awesome that I would probably die. Or if they sounded like that guy that played Prince Caspian. Most gorgeous voice ever and just about the only reason for going to see that movie (because of the weird thing they did with the story somewhere towards the middle).
BUT YESH. I just kept on truckin' with my bard. I'm thinking of playing the expansion pack quest with a new character, just because I'm more accustomed to the game and I might like to try something different. But then again, I kind of want the story to keep consistent...I've heard there isn't TOO much of a difference, though. I should probably play something strictly melee this time. Maybe a barbarian would be fun...but I like my high diplomacy skill mod. D:
OOH AND AND AND in Demon Stone you get to play as Drizzt for one level. IT'S AMAZING. 'cept for the fact that the final battle is IMPOSSIBLE for me so I never actually finished it.

Teh Grammar Police BAH. I know this is off topic, and the game came out FOREVER ago...but I can't beat the final battle in the OC of NWN2. On EASY. I played most of the game on Normal Difficulty and had very few problems. Maybe I need to summon up some stuff to distract the big baddie? My character's not really a tank, and not really a heavily destructive caster. Basically...it's a first-playthrough horrible character build (Bard 14, Harper Agent 5, Neverwinter Nine 1) but she can't really do too much. GRAH. *VERY MILD SPOILER* And the boss guy is just a big, teleporting mofo that loves to wail on my PC while ignoring my tanks (paladin and monk) altogether. RIN ANGRY. RIN SMASH. scream So, er...any advice that doesn't include cheating? It really sucks how I can't just get through the game. GRR. The problem is your diversity, in that I was a straight fighter and I slaughtered the final boss by anticipating his moves. It may not seem like it but for most of the battle he is in a pretty well defined loop for his tele locations. for cheats go to gamewinners.com of gamefaqs.com

Blehh I KNEW that trying to multiclass wasn't going to help. If I'd just stuck with Bard all the way, it might not have been so bad. Because I'd be better than that silly gnome.

I GOT THROUGH IT AT LAST EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ON EASY DIFFICULTY. And thank god for the 'enlarge person' spell being used on my meat shields -- I mean, /friends/.
But it's my first playthrough and I'd never played the first NWN so it was all a new system for me. Excuses, I know...D: maybe I'm just a wimp, or really bad at video games?
A good trick is to just buff like crazy and summon a bunch of stuff to crowd him. I also read somewhere that staying near one of the statues (the shield one) and using it over and over again will get you through the second phase of the battle with very little damage to your characters. -nodnod- As I said, maybe I'll try it on normal...but that ending slideshow with a really un-epic narrator was totally not worth the epicness of that fight.
Maybe I should create a new, more efficiently built, character for the expansion pack storyline...
Sorry for the ramble, y'all. I just needed to get that all out.

I actually did go back and try to finish it again, maybe two months ago...but my XBOX spazzed out and I'd basically forgotten all the controls and combos that became natural while playing.
So I was just like...SCREW THIS and moved on because it made me angry.

EDIT: But you have to admit, fighting as Drizzt was pretty cool.
And is that Rannek the same one that shows up in the Hunters' Blades trilogy, or do I have my characters mixed up?

Sorry to spam...but I moved the difficulty up to normal and did just fine with the King of Shadows in all three stages. It really is all in the strategy. :3
Now I can go to sleep and not feel like a total failure!

I barely even remembered that he was in it because that was before I'd read most of the Drizzt books...that was this year's task for me. I borrowed a boatload of them from my friend.

I have all of them on my shelf... >.> Except for the Wulfgar book. His character is lacking at the moment. I never really was interested in him, although I want more b*****d Drizzt, than the goody goody one.

TwT I loooove Alustriel. But I hate how Salvatore portrayes her. He makes her seem really wimpy when in (In Book) reality, she could single handedly wipe out Obould and his army.
