Ok, people, I've got more villains that will be making their appearance in Arkham Asylum that will aid in Robert's escape. Name the Alter Egos of the following, some will be easy, some you will probably have to look up.

Jervis Tetch.
Cameron van Cleer.
Basil Karlo.
Temple Fugate.
Jane Doe.
Elaine Marsh-Morton.
Otis Flannegan.
Roxanne Sutton.
Tad and Tom Trigger.
Magdalene Kyle.
Grace Balin.
Edward Nigma.
Maximillian Zeus.
Julian Day.

Happy Hunting biggrin

So people can see on the new page.

Also, in regards to this list, I will be adding a surprise player in the breakout.

Nightwing has been spotted in the city of Steelport. Along with Vigilante and Dr. Manhattan.

So I had a thought, you guys.

Bruce Wayne lives in Gotham, which is in New England, yes? So does everyone else he knows, right? Except Alfred, of course, who is in fact from Old England.

Anyway, I was just wondering why it was that almost no one in the DC universe ever has any kind of accent or unique dialect unless they're from outside the country. There are exceptions to this but only in the cases where the accents are part of the costume in some way, like with Vigilante or Shining Knight. It also sort of makes sense that Clark wouldn't have some kind of accent since he's a normal guy from Smallville. He'd speak the way he does to make his voice indistinct, cuz he's brilliant like that.

Thank you, thank you... It wouldn't let me put 1328, so I had to go with 1911...

With the exception of the showcase special on the Under the Red Hood DVD, Jonah Hex normally has some kind of southern drawl when speaking.

It's part of the character though. I mean, the character is a product of the time and location, and his voice and attire are both reflective of that.

I meant to point out that you never see a character with an accent that's purely incidental, having to do only with where that character happens to come from or reside and not with the image they create for themselves.

I can actually name one example that somewhat disproves this though. Harley Quinn seems to have an accent that's appropriate for her location, but I can't decide whether it's part of her costume or whether she actually speaks that way. When she's being "Dr. Quinnzel" she speaks totally normally and there's no sign of that eastern accent. There's also that episode where she tricks Batman into thinking she's giving up crime in order to take him out. She sends him a tape explaining all this, and right in the middle she drops the accent at the same time that she removes her harlequin hat. This would seem to suggest that it's all some kind of act, or maybe that the whole "Dr. Quinnzel" thing is the real act and she had dropped the accent at some point in her professional career as a psychologist, I suppose so that others would take her more seriously.

Either way, it would be a good example. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Harley Quinn is the only example I can think of.

John Constantine is an example of someone who's accent never changes, it's always British. We can't count the craptastic movie starring Keanu-Dracula because that's only loosely based on the comics...
