@Anna: Honestly...I'm not all too sure myself. Maybe it's because I have an inferiority complex and hate people that look down on others just because they were lucky enough to be born into a higher position than them. I take much pleasure in knocking people off their high horses and dragging them through the mud with the rest of us monkeys. Though that would mean I'm letting my personality bleed through into my rpc more than I should which would make me a bad rper. By that logic I should leave Hei alone as I'm not really sure where Kyo stands with him besides the fact he respects Hei's authority and intelligence.
TL biggrin R - Virgil is being a bad rper. Kyo respects Hei. Turkey sandwiches are good.

I can understand not liking that he looks down on everyone, but you're incorrect on the specifics. It's not because he was born into a higher position or anything, because they were born in the Rukongai. It was mere luck they were taken in by the Hakase family, and after that he worked hard to obtain his position and power. In the realm of actual reasons he looks down on everyone, the truth of the matter is that he has come to see everyone as test subjects, and thus he does not view life in the same manner other beings do and it's not necessarily that he thinks himself to be better, but rather that everyone is inferior in the eyes of Science. On that same note, he is also an egotist, but instead of thinking he's better than someone, he just knows it. Contrary to popular belief, that is not the underlying factor for why he belittles others. These are many of the reasons I find him to be a fascinating character. :3
In the past, he used to be kind and gentle, yet fiercely protective of Yuki. The reason he changed was born when his jaded feelings towards the outside world finally came in contact with Shouhi, causing him to in a sense "turn to the dark side."
I honestly have no idea why I took the time to explain all of this, but I asked Sarah if I could and she said sure and I did it anyway. Some things may or may not be jumbled around. If it doesn't make any sense, then ignore it; it's 2am and I need a cigarette. ><

Yep yep. Like I said I don't like people that look down others. Had to put up with too much of that growing up. >.<
Thanks for the specifics though Anna. I can see why he is who he is, but that doesn't change my opinion of him. I still stand by the fact that no one person is better than any other and as such no one has a right to act like they are whether they believe they are or not. But for now I shall put my inferiority complex away rofl

Nah, I see rpcs a separate entities from their creators. Sure they all have something in common with the person who's imagination they were born into, but there comes a point where they shift into being their own entity. To me Taigaa =/= Hei. Taigaa = fiery cool chick that ain't afraid to kick a** and take names, while Hei = uppity douchebag. Not the same person at all. You have yet to treat someone like crap seriously that didn't earn it. Namely Kage.

@Taigaa: That's understandable. While an RPC is a separate entity, they are still born of your imagination. So from the creator's standpoint it's like someone is insulting your child.
@Anna: Hopefully she doesn't >.< I have no intention of letting my personal feelings influence Kyo's personality. I would be disappointed in myself as an RPer if I did. So feel free to let Hei be all that he can be.
