Yugi tried to protest, but decided that now wasn't the time. He let Kawi lead him away, though inside he was fuming. "Khalid doesn't have a say in that kind of stuff. We don't have to move out unless Ryou says."

"Yeah, but..." Yugi sighed, shrugging. He would see what his yami had to say about this. "I guess. But let's not start looking right now... I mean, not after... It hasn't even been an entire day yet since Kira--!" Yugi couldn't bring himself to finish that sentence. Not an entire day? Kira had died hours ago. She was being buried as they spoke.

Kawi nodded and tugged him over on the couch. She said down hugging yugi close.

About five weeks had passed since Kira's untimely death. Just a little over a month. The four had moved out, with surprisingly little argument. Atem seemed to trust Khalid with Ryou, though he did stop by every few days to make sure Ryou was doing okay.
Atem and Ember had their own apartment, as did Yugi and Kawi. Yugi and Atem had preferred to stay close to each other, and they were living in the same complex. It was a fifteen minute walk to the mansion. It was fairly easy to settle down, though a bit awkward. Ryou was having a hard time recovering from Kira's death. To have your love, your life partner, die was an unbelievably sharp pain, like a knife slicing neatly through you. After a little while, it turned into a deep, painful throb. Ryou found himself unable to even stay in the room he and Kira had shared. Khalid was very helpful, watching over Kai most of the time and making sure Ryou was still living.

Kai was currently in his playroom. he had a set of baby drums where you tap them and they lit up and music played. kai laughed and slaped the drums.
Ember had fell asleep face first on the couch. Ever since kira died she had been having trouble sleeping and had to resort to sleeping pills.

Khalid poked his head into the playroom. He didn't like being reduced to the position of housewife, but he knew that if he didn't do something, everything would come crumbling down. All because of Kira's death. He hadn't realized how much had relied on her. Seeing that Kai was okay for now, he turned and went to the kitchen, where Ryou was staring at a piece of paper. "You still thinking that over? It's okay if you are. There's no rush at all." He said to the boy, coming up behind Ryou and putting his hands on his shoulders. Ryou blinked, then looked up to Khalid. He had been crying. Again. Ryou cried so much lately. "It's... fine. I mean... I don't see why not." He said, setting down the piece of paper and standing up. "So then... yes, Khalid. That's my answer." Ryou said, then burst into tears. Khalid wrapped his arms around Ryou, trying to calm him down. Atem was in his room, getting ready to leave. He couldn't help but notice that Khalid had been acting odd lately. He decided to go to visit Ryou more often, until he figured out what was going on there. "Hey, Ember, I'm--" He said, walking into the living room. Seeing Ember asleep, he sighed softly. "Oh, I'll just write a note..." He muttered, grabbing a blanket and tossing it over his girlfriend.

Ember was a hevey sleeper when she did get a chance to sleep.
Kai who soon got sick of his drums crawled over to his toybox and started searching threw it.
