Kennedy felt a cold draft from the top step. She rubbed her arms once again. The air around her seemed to be stuffy for some reason.

“Man, I need some air.”

She dangled toward the front door, noticing one of the slayers assisting another person. Another potential? Wait a minute, he’s a guy! Great. Kennedy shrugged it off for now. Too tired to worry about that.

“….but I just woke up…”

Another yawn escaped from her mouth. She kept dragging herself to the front door. The cold draft tickled her skin once again. The back of her neck. But why? Kennedy looked around, but saw nothing. No open windows, no fans, no air conditioning system on. This was not a good sign.

Finally, Kennedy reached the front door. Her hand formed a fist, opening and closing it to take out any kinks from her fingers. She stretched her eyes wide, open and close. Another yawn. This is too much.

((your last 3 posts confused miss michelle. Kennedy was standing outside the door in the hallway, and then went upstairs to the 3rd floor? and oz said maybe we shouldn't what? I'm sort of lost here

EDIT: nevermind - i forgot that buffy and the others were in the common room - i was thinking we were in that bedroom whoops! but woulnd't she have seen oz and willow when she went to the top step??? and then what, she headed back down again to the front door?
--- and dandled? lol.... ))

Agathian
"Fine." Angel gave in, knowing he had nothing to hide. "It won't be anything new...Lorne's heard it before." Angel turned to his green friend, cleared his throat and sang out...

"Oooh Mandy...
Well you came and you gave without taking...
but I sent you away, ohhh Mandy.
Well you kissed me and stopped me from shakin'...
And I need you today oh Mandy..."

Buffy's face was the picture of horrified disgust. Oh, please god, let him never sing again. Please, please. And Mandy? Good god, I thought he was joking about Barry Manilow..."Um, very nice. Riley? Anything?"

Riley raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not singing. And Buffy, really, you ought to know better. I've about had it with this, and I don't have time. The jet is waiting for me."
He walked up to Buffy, shot a look at Angel, and kissed her softly and smoothly on the cheek.
"You look great - thought you should know. You know the number to reach me, and I'll keep in touch with you on the subject's progress. If it turns out that I'm wrong in this, I'm gonna come back here and apologize myself. To you, at most." He smiled and chucked her under the chin, and gazed at Lorne for a moment.
"Goodnight, my darling, good night, my love..." he sang quietly into Buffy's ear, then turned and went up the stairs, out through the house and into the waiting car, to head back to the jet and return to his waiting wife and their pet project.

Willow cocked her eyebrow as her stomach growled yet again.
"I'm hungry and going to get food. C'mon...." She pulled on his hand, leaving the room fully and heading down the hall to the top of the stairs.

Oz grinned. It was all he could do right now. He was ecstatic. Nothing could possibly remove this feeling from his heart, his soul. They both journeyed down the steps. Ready to turn toward the kitchen, Oz caught a glimpse of someone. He turned around, lightly tugging on Willow. A brunette stood at the front door. Her hair seemed flat. Once she turned, Oz let go of Willow’s hand. His eyes wanted to scream profanities of how unfair life became just now. Although he continued to have such great luck, Oz finally rolled snake eyes as Kennedy stared back at him.

Kennedy focused her eyes a bit. She saw a young man, unfamiliar to her. But her eight pierced through him and onto Willow. It could be the strange tiredness drowsing about her, but she was almost certain they cupped hands. Her breathing decided to rush a bit. She felt like her heart skipped several beats.

“…Willow what’s…”

Payback? No, Willow would never…it’s a misunderstanding…it has to be. But her weight in her heart said otherwise. Kennedy’s eyes shifted. Her cold glare was ready to cut for blood. That cold glare suddenly went away and only hurt reflected to them.

“…no…it’s not true. Willow you’re..!” Kennedy did not want to continue. It just might hurt more than it does now.

The beast sniffed the air once more. She was closer, he knew it.

“Soon this can be done with.”

He didn’t like the idea of searching for humans. They were mere insects. Nothing of true importance or of a real threat. He squeezed more blood from his forearm onto the symbol. His impatience irritated him to the point of wanting to run into the building himself and dragging the girl out himself.

“Why should I be the one here, anyway. He should have come here himself,” mere growls to the regular person to walk by. Then again, if anyone did walk on by, they would be running or fainting.

He howled into the night, hoping that would get her to rush on outside.

For the last week, since returning to Cleveland, Drusilla had been coming to grips with her soul. She was already mad as a hatter. This was terrible. That idiot witch had fouled things up beyond compare, and she had no Angelus or Spike to help her through.. and grandmother was ashes.

Angelus was all gone this time... along with poor Miss Edith, left in that rat trap Angel had been living in, out in California, which was a bloody sunny and horrid place. She was happier here in Cleveland, where the sun didn't shine down on her preciously dark mausoleum all day and half into the evening.

Over this past week, since leaving Angel's ugly old car and returning to her home in the cemetery, Drusilla had been unable to eat, or clean herself. Her pretty dress was all tattered and dirty, and her general mood was nasty.

"Oooohhh, Miss Edith, where are you? Mummy's hungry, and all the tasty people burn to touch.. oh they burn.... and they TALK, Miss Edith, the mean people talk and yell at me, oh poor me... God won't take me now, and I practiced so hard for him...And Spike won't come to save me.. Daddy's all gone, forever gone...Grandmother- ooooooooooohhhhh.... He's going to be turning, turning in his grave so so so soon....."

She wept bitterly, tugging at her hair, and thinking incoherent thoughts.

CONNOR HAD OF COURSE HEARD HIS FATHER SING BEFORE, BUT MAN, THAT SUCKED.
AND WHAT WAS UP WITH THE DUDE AND BUFFY? HE MADE A MENTAL NOTE TO ASK LORNE ABOUT THAT, CUZ HE DIDN'T THINK ANGEL WOULD WANNA TALK ABOUT IT, AND HE DIDN'T KNOW BUFFY ALL THAT WELL.
HE LOOKED AT BUFFY, LORNE AND ANGEL, SAID GOODNIGHT, AND LEFT THE ROOM AFTER GRABBING HIS SHIRT. A SHOWER WAS SORELY NEEDED.

AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS, HE WATCHED AS THE RED-HEADED WITCH WILLOW AND SOME DUDE STOOD IN THE HALLWAY, AND THEN ENTERED KENNEDY. HE WAS GLAD SHE WAS FINALLY AWAKE, AND WAS ABOUT TO ASK HER HOW SHE WAS FEELING WHEN HE FELT THE TENSION THICK AS ICE.
SHE SEEMED VERY UPSET AT WILLOW.. CONNOR VAGUELY RECALLED HEARING THAT WILLOW AND KENNEDY WERE A COUPLE. TAKING A CLOSER LOOK AT WILLOW AND THAT DUDE, HE REALIZED SHE WAS HALF DRESSED. HER HAIR WAS RUMPLED, AND HIS PANTS WERE NOT BUTTONED.
SHE LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE WHO'D SPENT SOME TIME RECENTLY RASSLIN' ON A BED SOMEWHERE... AND KENNEDY LOOKED JUST HEARTBROKEN ABOUT IT.
WHEN WILLOW STAYED SILENT, CONNOR STEPPED BETWEEN THEM AND HELD OUT HIS ARM FOR KENNEDY.
"COME ON, LET'S GET YOU SOME SOUP, OK? YOU'VE BEEN OUT OF IT FOR DAYS, SWEET GIRL."

Fred followed the loud red-haired girl up the stairs and then up another flight to the third floor.
"Um... we're in separate rooms, ok? I mean yeah, if that's ok with ya'll, I mean you may not have the space, but if it's ok for you, I'd like my own room if that's ok..."
She smiled, a spectacular grin that lit up her entire face.
"Whatever you got, that's just fine with me."

A howling sound from outside the mansion created shivers through Kennedy. She flapped around as she quickly turned toward the door. The sight of a possible backstab was unbearable. It could be false, but the fear of confirming it to be true would forever haunt her.

Oz rushed up to the shaken up girl. He grabbed her by her shoulders and turned her about. Her hands stood between him and her. They were trembling as if ice were full of icy splinters.

“Wait! You don’t know. Just let me,” but her hands swiftly pushed against his chest to separate him from her. His legs caught the fall just a couple of steps back. “Listen!”

“Don’t! Just don’t!” Her eyes met with Willow.

“I’m not perfect, I know. I screwed up. But I never EVER would have thought that you would go out and do the exact same thing. I always thought that you're better, Willow. To me…you were a goddess. You were perfect, that’s why it heated up inside me, ready to burn through due to the guilt. I know what I say or do might not be able to fix things, but now….I don’t see why I should.”

At that moment, another man came up to her. “Come on, let’s get you some soup, okay? You’ve been out of it for days, sweet girl.”

She couldn’t remember where she might have seen him. He seemed nice, and she needed nice about now before she exploded. Her hand slowly laid on top of his as she tried to at least gesture her body forward.

Atticus had fallen asleep in his cell after settling down, his body aching with pain, but healing as usual. He finally woke up, moving slowly as he sat up, rubbing his face. He looked up and noticed Riley in the cell with him, staring silently at him.

Right before he could say anything, Riley jabbed something sharp into Atticus' forehead...

Atticus opened his eyes, waking up from his dream. He wasn't sure how long he had been asleep or how long he had left with his human memories, but either way he was...needless to say...a little scared.

Lorne read Riley when he sang, and he was about to say something when he realized that the soldier boy was leaving.

"Wait..." Lorne mentioned, following him for a few steps and then turning to face Buffy. "Alright, so Soldier Boy is innocent. The only evil intention he has is to erase all of Atticus' memories...and THAT'S because he doesn't know that Atticus is MOSTLY HUMAN!"

Lorne turned to Angel. "Angel, are you going to let this happen?! I read Atticus too! After erasing Atticus' memories, he will be a mindless puppet to them and used in who-knows-what! I'm guessing TO KILL. Once he has lost those memories, he will lose everything that keeps him human! There will be nothing left of him but a Half-breed that is a slave to the Black Cross's will!"

Oz made sure to clear a path for her and Connor. He was afraid to say or do something, anything that would only create more explosions. Willow…goodness, what about Willow? He turned to see her, still standing in shock. She almost seemed unsure as to what took place just now. Was she okay? Did Kennedy's words cave Willow's heart and soul?

“…Willow are you…I mean, everything is gonna be fine…”

If only he could believe his own words, then everything would calm into happier moments. He knew Willow probably didn’t believe him, if she heard him at all.

Kennedy felt spacey as she was directed toward the kitchen. That face…Kevin…Cooper…Conan…her mind decided to stay blank. That's fine for now. His name will come up. Right now, her heart just fell into a thousand pieces. Why would anything else matter?

Kennedy slid onto a chair, not saying a word. Willow. She was supposed to be the good one. Realization of what just happened sank in deep. Her tears trickled on her cheek. It was slow and painful. Never in a million years did Kennedy think Willow would follow “an eye for an eye”. Sniffles began to accompany her tears. She tried to hide the hurt, but it’s hard to hide it when you know that you just died in the other room.
