>>He almost smiled. Almost. She was almost cute when she blushed like that<< Who else? >>Classic Jyn. He fell quiet however as she continued to sing, large ears twitching slightly. And when her eyes flicked to the side, so did his. He remembered her from his dream...he didn't like her<< Cala... >>He glanced pointedly at the approaching sibling before closing his eyes, pretending to be knocked out once more<<

Calanthia was quick to catch on and quickly just pretended to tend to a wounded stomach of his. However, no matter what she did, she couldn't hide her blush. Not from her sister at least.
Cassandra came back with a wet cloth. "So have you made up your mind yet, Calanthia? You can't go on hiding yourself away like that for much longer." She knelt down and rather roughly attacked the blood-stained fur. Green eyes shot up to look at her. "What's with that blush on your cheeks?"
Cala stammered a little as she quickly came up with something. "I just thought of how embarrassing it must be to you to have a sister who loves a man who thinks himself to be young, thats all." She then glared at the woman and snatched up the rag, being much more gentle. "Cassi, why is it you came here, really? I know you said you wanted to meet this guy but really, you've been acting worse then usual. Are you really that bored at home? Can't you just leave Jyn alone? I know I have messed up a lot but I can sure manage without you. I've had to this whole time! Its been so long already!"
"Don't worry I forgave you for that. You know there is no need to be so gentle with someone unconscious. You're waiting so much time on him." Cassi just grinned. "Nope, can't leave. Now Calanthia we've had this discussion before. I want to test this one. And really, how good of a job have you been doing when he thinks he's a kid and kept running away from you? Oh no, you are far too young to handle this on your own. You've messed up plenty. I already told you, Big Sis is here now to fix what you messed up."

>>Good. He'd rather not find out what exactly 'Cassy' was planning on doing with him when he became normal again. And-WAIT! It took every ounce of self control he had within him not to move a single muscle. But his mind had nearly short circuted<< to have a sister who loves a man who....a sister who loves a man who...loves a man...She loves me? >>Every, single, ounce of self control<<

Calanthia glared at her. "I don't need you around Cassi. And I hardly am about to let you upset him again the way you did last time! Its your fault he's even hurt now!"
Cassandra patted Jyn's chest. "Hardly! He was hurt LONG before I showed up. And if you don't remember well, let me remind you that he was running from BOTH of us. So you're just as much to blame." Cassi smirked down at Jyn. "I must say though, from the sounds of your mutt's howling he took a nasty spill and hardly has a scratch on him. I can see why you were drawn to him in the first place. Has he gotten you all warmed up?" She smiled slyly.
Cala blushed brightly. "CASSI! Its none of your business! And just for your information," She moved Cassi's hand off Jyn's chest as though it was a disgusting rag. "He doesn't like my 'warmed up side' so no!"
"Pity." Cassandra then moved to pet the side of his face. "Just when I thought this one might be fun to toy with for a while. Ah well, no matter. I can train him to my liking."
Calanthia growled. "Cassandra, back off. I'm warning you. This has nothing to do with you and Jyn has nothing to do with you. If you are so desperate, go to the local town and find yourself a man there. Jyn is not your plaything and he hardly would agree to that!"
The older bengal removed her hand from Jyn's face. "Why not let him decide for himself? I'm sure when he comes to, the big mean lady will be pushed aside for nice Cassy again." She giggled at the idea.

>>Don't twitch. Not one movement. Sleep. Ignore the ignorant brode. It was difficult, to not even have an ear move, and keep his heartrate slow as the other touched his chest. Disgusting indeed...Nice Cassy?<<

Calanthia looked at Cassandra. "How do you know he'll wake up as a kid again? You're getting forgetful too! I told you, any time he wakes up he's at a different point in his life. So for all we know he could be at the point in his life where he started to like me. And if he does wake up at that point, he will NOT like you touching him." Her ear twitched at her sister's brash actions.
"Oh silly silly Calanthia." Cassandra began to pet Jyn's stomach, not minding the scratches or anything. "Since when have I ever cared about what people think? You know, you've changed. You always cared more about other people then I did but to see you so tied down to one person. Its a shame." She was almost treating him like a pet.

>>THIS was Cala's sister? He expected someone...more like...F**k this. His hand shot over his body, fingers clamping tightly on the elders wrist. So tight...too tight. The males eyes opened, the force applied almost enough to break the fragile joints he held<< After several warnings against it, you continue to touch me. I think its only fair that I eliminate the means to. You have 60 seconds to convince me otherwise.

Cassandra was more then stunned and only winced at the way he was holding onto her wrist. She played it off as a wink at him though her teeth were clenched shut. She spoke through her teeth. "Good morning to you too, Mr. Sunshine. I was merely inspecting your scratches is all." From the way that rolled, it was obvious that Cassandra was a liar because she said it as if it were true. "Not to mention, how would I ever defend myself if you were to break my wrist?"
Calanthia looked at her sister. "I warned you. He's not really the touchy-feely type." The younger girl looked at Jyn pleadingly. "Please don't break it. If it breaks, she'll have to hang around until it heals since that's her good wrist for using her weapon." She really REALLY didn't want to keep her sister around for very long. She looked over at Cassandra. "And you have to behave yourself! I can only ask him once; he makes up his own mind about things and if you do continue to upset him, there is nothing I can do about it."

Bull. You have some sort of twisted fascination with touching me. >>He smoothly sat up, never relinquishing his hold on her. Just the tinest bit more pressure would snap it<< And simply, I don't care how you would. Just as long as you died away from my campsite. >>He looked cooly at Cala, his features smooth from his distaste of the woman he held<< ... >>He looked at cassy a moment before letting go, his eyes narrowed<< I'd advise you be on your best behavior from here on out...Otherwise, you'll end up having no need for a weapon.

Calanthia sighed with relief. "Thank you Jyn." She looked at Cassandra with a glare. "Take his words seriously. He's not someone who kids around." Violet eyes turned to look at Jyn and she tried to offer a small smile. "How are you feeling?" She was going to keep an eye on Cassi.. in a moment. Right now, Jyn was her main concern. "What do you remember?" She had to check if this was really her Jyn this time and not some other point in his past that she had to meet.
"How could I resist? Can you blame me?" Cassandra took back her wrist and nuzzled it. She just smiled up at Jyn and gave him a wink. "Yes, Sir." There was a way she said that sentence that left one to believe she wasn't taking much seriously. Or was it the pain that she was enjoying? It was hard to tell with the way she nuzzled her wrist now and then. Her green eyes were lit as they were focused strictly on Jyn.

>>He gave Cassandra one final look before moving his focus onto Cala. The male exhaled softly<< Shortly, I fell off a cliff, resulting in a severe case of amnesia. After recovering from it though, it seems I still suffer from some sort of head trauma. Before this stage I was a Soldier still...right before the death of Seret.

Calanthia couldn't help but to hug him tightly. "It really is you this time." She sounded so relieved and happy. She smiled up at him. "Welcome back." She couldn't help but to be so happy. Releasing him, she looked at him with a slightly concerned look. "Can you stand? I wasn't here when you fell but it looked like you hit hard."
Cassandra smiled watching the two of them. She was half-tempted to remark but thought better about it. She was suspicious what Jyn would behave like away from her younger sister. Standing up, Cassandra offered the hand he had not hurt to help him up. She said nothing, bu only smiled. It was amazing how different the two were. While Cala wore no makeup, Cassi had her lips painted red and a lovely green eyeshadow over her eyes. Cala was caring, and there was something very cold about Cassi.

Tartara >>She couldn't look at him. She just couldn't. It was too painful after seeing a glimpse of tears as he moved about. She was too ashamed...too beaten...too in love with him<< I wanted to keep you from this...nothing but misfortune would fall upon you if you came. Royalty is something beyond your capabilities to be amongst with. >>She heard his escort moving behind them, which unnerved her further. Who was there? Seifer? Trelweny? Her hand relaxed along with her body as the first tear slipped down her soft cheek<< I came here, to request that I be removed from the royal family. >>The female continued softly, another tear sliding down. She felt Aki stiffen in surprise against her. Oh...so they didn't know that<< Because I love you. I wished nothing more then to simply live in peace, as a commoners wife. As a commoner. I wanted our children to be free of political ties...and for everyone to be safe. Great rewards however call for great sacrifices. >>She was going to give up everything who she was, to start anew with him. Her honor...her name...the chance for money and power<< And when King Roman offered everything back, I was going to decline. >>Her cheeks were now slick, shimmering blue eyes moving to fall on the back of Zells head. The hand on the bed twitched, wanting to touch him. She didn't dare<< A common mistake, most royalty makes...is that they exist for themselves...when really...we exist for the people. They give us power, and they can take it away. For we need them, more then they could ever need us. This is the philosophy I live by...And it is why I wanted to shed that skin. For as much as I love Dreia...I find I love something a great deal more. >>Heavy. The conversation was heavy, and intimate to the point he felt as if he was imposing on them. It was all he could do to listen, and hold Maryline. Steadily it transfered from saftey, to comforting as the necessity shifted. And eventually, he slipped the dagger out of her hand and onto the bed, to embrace the golden haired princess in a tender hug. What a mess all this was. What a mess<< Blonde head jerked. She was going to give everything up? Their... children?!? It was a good thing Zell's head had already fallen to rest upon the bed. The flood and variety of emotions that overwhelmed him as Maryline spoke would otherwise had a good chance of knocking the fistfighter over despite his trained sure footing. A different kind of blow than he had ever trained to take. Add to that he felt the Merge withdraw to only the barest hint of a whisper to give them privacy & Zell could barely speak. She asked to not be a princess... that's what we must have missed. She asked... to be with me? The doubt that with Maryline's earlier words had twisted like a knife in his gut started to melt as Maryline reaffirmed her love with her words. Coherent words wouldn't come. Just pieces. "Yeah... King Conrad knows that..." Maryline loved something more. "I tried to stay behind." At first. He had dragged and dragged until that farewell line in her letter clicked. "'Royalty is something beyond my capabilities to be amongst with'?" Sadness. Pain. Had he... with her... not been succeeding enough even when he tried? Sure... he'd flubbed pretty awfully with the hologram/memory-imprint king & Sir Mujaki, but he was good with her right? Not all courts were as formal all the time either. Not today. Hyne if Laguna could be a president he could be a prince right?
He'd have to be. He was one now.
She loved him. Their children. Because she loved. Wife. Their children. Free. Safe. Sacrifices. Love. Simple. Life.
Pieces started to suddenly fall into place and the SeeD nearly laughed with aching realization at what their missing communication could have led to -she no longer a princess while he became a prince. What terrible irony.
Perhaps they would still have time to laugh about it later.
"Line..." His voice cracked as it worked over a dry mouth. "I love you. Princess or commoner or goddess. I'd do anything for you... I... I... can't live without you 'Line. I don't wanna try. If you ... if something happened to you..." Turning his head to the side Zell rested his cheek on the bed, wet hazel-blue eyes spilling tears while looking at shorn golden curls. "I don't know what I'd do."
He sighed softly yet heavily at the same time and turned to face her while still leaning his head on the bed. She had surprised him, now he would likely surprise her. Maybe. There was a chance she figured at least part of it out by now. "I wanted to ask you to marry me at Christmas... to surprise you with the Prince thing... guess I shouldn't have left it for a surprise..." His voice trailed off, the pain in it evidence that he blamed himself because had she known... maybe she would not have felt the need to come here to de-princess-fy. Not that knowing even only what he knew of the state of the kingdom & her monarch before arriving here made Maryline's chances at success in her plans sound more likely. Having stepped into the bathing room Bill Weasley noted the water near full in the bath and shut it off. Almost instantly he wished he had not, for his large African dog ears were picking up the others' voices quite effectively no matter what he tried to not hear them so well. Even as quiet as they were. It made him feel uncomfortable, overhearing something so private -and he barely knowing the princess.
And... it made him miss Fleur. Heavily the oldest Weasley sighed and crouched by the edge of the bath, lightly stirring the surface with one long finger. It was nice not being scarred. Better even, that Fred wasn't... yeah. In a way it was easier not having Mum & Dad around than it was Fleur. Sure... He loved his parents. He missed them. But being his parents it was easier to step into a life without them. Just think of it as moving out with a farther distance between them and no chance to visit or send owls. Not easy easy... but easier. Easier than missing Fleur. She was his future. His present. If he could do anything to have her near...
Bill understood why Zell had to do all this for his love. Hearing the princess... he could understand her somewhat too.
Lost in thought, the red-headed wizard did not see a tear enter the patterns made on the bath's surface.

>>He wanted to hug her. He all but needed to hug her, his eyes regaining a tint of confusion when they focused on Cala. She said she loved him. Not so bluntly, but she did. When had he managed to tame her heart? What had he missed? He wanted to feel her in his arms...and ask and you shall receive. All too suddenly he was in a fierce embrace, blinking in surprise. He of course appeared to be very nonchalant about it, looking off to the side as if waiting for her to get off<< I'm fine...nothing that a few hours rest wont solve. Jolted my spinal cord though. >>He eyed Cassy's hand before standing up on his own. Cala herself knew he wouldn't even take her help with standing<< How long are you staying? >>The look he gave was plainly 'better not be for long'<<
~~~~~
>>Feeling Aki's arms so gently around her almost had the princess cry even harder. She was nothing but a child still. Her father was right. Even when she tried to fix things...she still ended up making a bigger mess then if she left it alone<< Zell...I am a great deal more lax then the majority of royalty should ever be among commoners. And that is in comparison to how I was when I first came upon you. The careful dictation, the shifting of masks depending on situation...I would hardly let you see an ankle or give me a hug. And often reserved my laughter and true smiles. Our ways confound you to every fiber within you. Over the years perhaps you would grow accustomed to the procedures and rules...but you will not be happy. >>Arigon, if she closed her eyes, she could pretend it was Zell holding her. Those strong arms held all the comfort she needed. Her eyes flicked open, shimmering. He...he was going to...propose? Slowly...oh so slowly...she reached out to overlay a hand on one of the SeeD's. She loved him more then her kingdom...loved him more then her old life...loved him more...then Mujaki<< It still is not too late to ask me, my Prince. >>Things were calming down once more, the princess relaxing. He felt it in his arms, the woman almost at ease, almost. He got her in time. If he had chosen to watch outside of her room, or had not been paying attention during her bathing...Zell would have never forgiven him. And he wouldn't blame him<<
"Oh I'll be around for a good long while. My little sis and I have so much to catch up on!" Cassi beamed brightly. "Not to mention I would like to know the adult you!" The older bengal glanced back at Cala with a smile before those green eyes looked back at Jyn. "Now I would like to see your campsite if you don't mind. I won't stay exactly in the camp but I would like to set up somewhere nearby."
Calanthia stood up when Jyn did. She looked down at her wolf before looking back at up at Cassi. It was obvious this was a silent command as the canine moved to stand between him and her sister. Cala looked at Cassandra suspiciously when she heard the idea her sister had gotten. What was she up to? That was too polite of Cassi to do without there being a catch. However, she couldn't think of anything so she merely looked over at Jyn, curious as he would take the idea of Cassi living next door.
