So, I'm moving to Vancouver, which is the west coast to you Canada illiterates, just north of Seattle (y hello thar, Virg domokun ) and thus I need a transfer to a new store. Today one of my baristas told me about one of the stores there that opens right onto a beach. I'm going to fight so hard to get transfered there, it almost hurts. domokun

Jaeger_Ayers Roger the Homunculus So, today is the worst day ever. My fiancee left for school and my grandfather is being kept alive by a ventilator. Said a prayer for your grandfather. I know that's pretty rough. Thanks Jaeger. It means a lot. And I'm doing much better. Made my peace and whatnot. His funeral was beautiful and it was inspiring to see how many people he touched.

Looks like my German Shepard for some odd, unexplainable reason. Is it just me or does Thor have a small, greyhound head and a large, doberman boy?

My Grandfather's passing was the same, it's always tough, but you have to make your peace with it in the end. But then my family's kinda... what's the right term... a bunch of nutty flatbillies at heart. With us getting together it's all about food, often beer, and trying to keep Uncle Johnny from any insidious plotting they may or may not involve something exploding. Pop's funeral was no exception.

Until today, it looked like I was going to end up at a nearby store instead. But they e-mailed my manager today and said they were giving me full time at the beachfront store. I also just paid the deposit and first month's rent on my place. It's all come together. I am so excited. So incredibly excited.

Pushing the rugrats through the local mall, we get to center court and there's a kiosk for the local Tae Kwon Do chain (They're freakin' everywhere! gonk ) being manned by one of their instructors. Guy looks to be in his 40s maybe. He's wearing his uniform that has so many patches on it my eyes were hurting. Just a rediculous amount to patches. I can't begin to explain how many ******** patches this guy has on his uniform.
Seriously... it was a lot.
Anywho, we're approached by he-of-many-patches. The missus smiles and gestures to the girl, "Don't worry, they're already in Karate."
"How old are they?"
"Six months." She smiles he says how that's a bit too young. I tell him, nah, and make the jokes about how I'm already working with them on making a good fist and pulling their toes back on their kicks.
"You sound like you know what you're doing."
I extend my hand and smile.
"Marty Nozzarela. I'm with the Seishinkai."
The guy backed up. Literally. When we came back by a little later he was gone.
I really didn't mean to scare he-of-many-patches.
