Hiyoshi blushed deeply, a coy laugh escaping her as she looked to Marie still. So curious, you are! she laughed, brushing her hair over her shoulder again. I'm...actually married to many...she offered, pressing her lips together as she waited for Marie's reaction, as she was very unsure of how that would be taken.

Yes, she was rather curious. It had gotten her in trouble a few times when she was young in which Marie had slowly just stopped all together. But when Hiyoshi made her last comment, Marie tilted her head. She knew that in some cultures men had many wives but she hadn't heard of one being the other way around. But she also didn't know about other realms and the like. "Married to many? It that part of your, uh, culture or realm or something?"

It's...more something that my adoptive father instilled in me...though, it would seem that my real family supports the sort of...collection of lovers...she giggled, the topic seeming a little strange as she spoke it. She decided not to pour her adopted family life on Marie, but did offer a sort of explanation. You see...I...Am a rather powerful goddess...My father is matched only by one other where I come from. I suppose, by keeping so many lovers, and having so many children...it's ensured that our family and Ashili's family stay at the top most rank...Ashili's father is the only one in our realm that matches my father's power. My goodness, that probably sounds obscene! Hiyoshi whimpered to herself, pursing her lips as she looked to Marie still.

Marie had kept her head slightly tilted, never thinking she'd meet someone like Hiyoshi. A goddess? With a really powerful family? Marie doubted that she would lie but it was a lot to take in. Sure, being a princess was tough but being a goddess must be a lot tougher. "I see. I can understand why you father would want such a thing. I'm glad mine's not like that, though. I would make a horrible goddess."

Hiyoshi giggled softly, leaning close and cupping her hand around her mouth as if to tell Marie a secret. I make a horrible goddess! she laughed, shaking her head in thought. I'm a fair healer...Which I suppose is a start...And there're quite a few of my siblings who are far more interested in the 'family business' than I am...Which is alright, so I've been told, but I know it disappoints my father...She paused a moment to think before giggling out again. But I guess that's his own fault for letting my mother give me away as an infant, right? Despite her best efforts to stop blurting things out, she couldn't seem to stop. Nervous talking had always been a sort of habit of hers, and it seemed as though it was going to stay that way.

"Mm..sounds kind of like Divi and I." She glanced up for a moment, going over thoughts in her mind. They were close, true, but Marie had no interest in her title like Diviana did. "You're mother gave you away? That's terrible. Why did he let her do that?" She really shouldn't have said that seeing as her own sister, half-sister, had been 'given' to her father after being born. Kind of the same thing.

Hiyoshi thought on this a long while. To be honest, she had no idea. When I was born, and a few of my brothers and sisters after me...I think...there was something terribly wrong with our mother. Hiyoshi thought on this a little longer, trying to gather hints or anything, really, that could to sort of back up any feelings she had about her mother and her mother's sanity at the time. It was several thousands of years ago, I didn't know her, nor do I really know her now...she admitted, averting her gaze to the grass between herself and Marie, her eyes welling with tears.

Marie frowned, not having meant to bring up a paintful subject. "She also couldn't say that she'd been there either since he had always had her mother around until an illness took her. "I'm sorry for asking. But...you at least still have your siblings, right? It may not be the same as a mother...but you've got family around you that care...and friends," she offered.

ShtrDrNGry I'm following you, dearest. Sakura purred, kissing Jordyn's temple before looking back to Quinn. Pausing her steps she sighed softly, a feeling coming over her that was very new and strange. I...sort of feel bad for the boy...Maybe he could come have lunch with us? She whispered, not letting Quinn out of her sights. Jordyn followed Sakura's gaze and nodded. "I do too, but I think I want to be selfish with your time today." Biting his lower lip in thought, he laughed softly, "Maybe when he comes by the house we can do something with him." Taking her gently by the elbow, he smiled his best smile and led her out of the Gardens. "I hear there's a sea-side cafe about..."

Hiyoshi shook her head, her eyes closed softly to force the tears back before she offered a laugh. There's no need to be sorry at all, My family is whole and things are in the works for being patched up. She gave a nod of her head to assure herself that to be the truth before smiling to Marie again. Back to the subject of marriage, however...she purred, smiling brightly to the other, It can be such a wonderful experience if you're in it for the right reasons.
A sea-front cafe, you say? Sakura purred, smiling as she looked to Jordyn. Well that sounds rather perfect! Laughing softly, she shook her head and kissed Jordyn's cheek, letting her head rest to his shoulder. And you're more than welcome to be greedy with my time...Whenever you so do desire.

"I'll keep that in mind," Jordyn purred back to Sakura as he bent to kiss the top of her head. Trying to remember where the cafe was from the Gardens, he looked the street. Smiling as he remembered the path he took last time, he led the way.

Marie smiled lightly. "Yes..it can be." Thinking about marriage again made her nervous but she figured that she just needed to talk to Luel about it. "My sister wants to marry as well...but she'd not the kind to settle down." She shifted slightly, fidgeting with her sketchbook. "She said she'd marry so I wouldn't have to take on a higher title...but I'm afraid she'll end up unhappy."

Well that's very sweet of your sister, Hiyoshi purred, smiling softly as she let her fingers wander to play with the blades of grass at her knees. My sisters would be more than happy to be the eldest - as our father says it's age that will matter should anything in ranks, not who or what you're doing. She paused at her phrase and blushed deeply, hoping it didn't sound to Marie the way she heard it herself.

Marie tilted her head then smiled and shook it. "Sounds like he'd be happy with Divi then." Her and her sister's situation was a tad difficult to explain. They had different mothers and Diviana turned out to be a 'b*****d' child yet she was still the eldest. "My father prefers that I be the heir to the thrown despite me being the youngest."
