"The we should go!" says Merc enthusiastically, grabbing seth's wrist and dragging him into some driection (probably the wrong one).

Indeed, it was the wrong one, "Merc, the other way, the other way!"
The taller, stronger man turns the catboy around and leads the way to sasha's house.

Merc laughs as Sethos pulls him around the other way. Once he finds out the real way, he jumps up into one of the trees following the sidewalk, being able to make better time in the treetops. When Sethos begins slowing and approaching one of the flats next to the road, he drops down, landing on the other boy's shoulders.

Sethos almost falls over, just barely catching himself. Not because the catboy was particularly heavy, just because he wasn't expecting him. Once it's clear he isn't going to topple over, he laughs and carries Merc to the door, knocking on it.
The door is opened by an attractive woman, probably in her late twenties. She drags Seth by the hand into the living room, giving the catboy a very strange look once she sees him. There's a group of people that merc doesn't know there, and they all congratulate Sethos (frusteratingly enough, without actually telling him the details of his draw)

Merc drops off of Sethos' shoulders after the woman, sasha presumably, gives him a strange look. Afterwards, he just trails Sethos into the room, where many people that he doesn't know start congratulating him.

Sethos can't help but accidentally ignore merc for a little bit as he talks to sponsers, and friends, and trainers and such, finally getting to sasha, who had apparently given orders that she was the only one allowed telling him his draw.
She tells him, and yeah he's happy, but still doesn't feel it's worth partying about. he hasn't beat these people yet, it's jsut that he has a better chance of doing so. He tells her as much, and she doesn't seem overly pleased, before she can start to yell, he indicates merc, and says, "Well, I just dropped over to find out, but I have to go now."

True to Sethos' words, Merc is used as an excuse to leave. Not that he minds at all, he liked it much better when He and sethos were alone together, so that they could actually talk to each other. He didn't know who any of these people were, and some of them smelled of bad breeding. He knew that these were important people, but being important didn't stop them from being bad.

Sethos smiles, rather fakely, until he leaves the house and closes the door behind him, at which points he sighs with relief, "jesus, if I liked being surrounded by people, I'd have chosen a team sport. Where to now?"

"I don't think I've ever been near that many people in my entire life." he says. "Well except when all my sibs were home. Cat people generally have large litters, so I have alot of family. But... some of those poeple smelled bad..."

Seth laughs, "Probably the sponsers. ******** them. See, there are two reasons I'd like to get to third round that don't involve the fact that I just plain want to win. I could get a better manager, and better sponsers. Any ideas of where to go now?"

Merc shakes his head. "I need to find somewhere where I can make some money... and I need to find a place to live, but that doesn't matter right now. There's always the trees." he thinks for a second. "You don't like your manager?"

"As a manager, she's ok. Probably as good as any player as relatively unknown as me could get. But, she has a big crush on me, and I really can't stand in. I don't like women with her personality at all, and I'm not looking for a girlfriend as a manager, I'm looking for someone professional, y'know?" Seth starts walking down the street, just wandering.

"Oh..." says merc. Sethos is confirming his fear quite easily. The other man likes girls. It is a dissapointment, but there's nothing he can do about it. "Why don't we go to a beach, or something?" he asks.
