"Um, I was wondering if you could help me evolve Ebony. I think he needs to be with another trainer for just a bit. I'd love it if he were a Gengar and he's estatic about evolving. We'll trade right back so you can have Your Pokemon back too," Mitsu explained hoping that she would still agree.

"That looked like Will-o-Wisp," Keegan said, as the Muk's Poison Gas seemed to spread everywhere. "Watch out Helios," he called, and the Vulpix got low to the ground, the rancid gases flowing overhead.
"Bad idea," Cue Ball shouted. "Machop will hit so much harder now that he's suffering," he laughed. "Karate Chop it!" he yelled, pointing through the toxic mists.
"Quick Attack! Keegan called a second later. Helios ran forward, striking the Machop. It growled, and the Karate Chop hit its mark, resulting with Helios slumping to the ground, unconscious. ""Return," Keegan said darkly, holding up the Pokeball. "You were great," he said, as he held up the next one. "Okay...Themis-"
Keegan was cut off as Althena erupted from her Pokeball, and appeared before them. "Psyduck," she said, wiggling her tail back and forth.
"Err...alright," Keegan said, looking confused. "Just do your best," he added.
"Bwahaha! What a pathetic Pokemon," Cue Ball shrieked with laughter. "Pummel it," he said through gasps.
"Pathetic!?" Keegan growled, and stomped his foot. "We'll show you pathetic!" he snarled. "Althena! Surf attack!" he shouted loudly.
"Psy...DUCK!" the Psyduck cried, as a tsunami of water was created from behind her. It rushed forward, slamming into the Machop before it died away as quickly as it came.

"Oh, hmm.. That sounds alright. I'm sure someone over here would be willing to help." Ryka said, looking at her Pokemon. All but Blitz were sleeping. She bent down and asked him if he would help. He nodded his head and jumped on her shoulder, excitedly. "Alright, Blitz is willing to help." Ryka said into the speaker, walking over to the trading machine. She pressed a button, and the whoole machine started to shake. "I think it's working.." Ryka said, staring at it. When it calmed down a bit, she kissed Blitz's nose and returned him to his pokeball. "We're going to trade right back, alright? So.. don't be worried." She whispered to the pokeball, before placing it into the slot. It automatically got sucked into a little tube. "Alright, everything's good over here!"

"All right," Mitsu said with a nod. She lifted Ebony's Pokeball and placed it into the machine. It was sucked up and both Pokeballs dropped out a second later. She released the Pikachu, "Hey there Blitz," Mitsu said with a smile. "Did you get Ebony Ryka?"

Kasiya heard Shocker give a little cry from somewhere within the toxic miasma, and she feared the poison had taken effect. "Hang in there, Shocker!" she yelled. "Give 'em a Thunderbolt!"
"RaiCHUU!" A bolt of electricity arched up through the gas, and came down again, striking the Muk from above.
"Are you gonna let 'em get away with that?" Skinny Guy yelled. "Sludge attack!" he yelled, shaking his fists.
Muk opened its gaping, dripping mouth and spewed out a shower of purplish/grey sludge, eliminating most of the clones and splashing onto the real Raichu. Shocker cried out again, struggling against the poison.
"Thunderbolt again," Kasiya cried, urgency in her voice. She didn't want Shocker to be knocked out in her first match since evolving. It would be heartbreaking for the electric mouse.

"I guess I underestimated that Psyduck," Cue Ball smirked, recalling his sopping Machop. "But now it gets serious. Get out there, Mankey!" He lobbed the Pokeball and it landed, revealing a feisty, eager looking fighting Pokemon. "Fury Swipes attack!" he commanded at once, and the Pig monkey dashed forward, ready to strike.
"Go Althena! Use your, um, Disable?" Keegan asked, sounding unsure of himself. He wasn't sure if she was strong enough to use that attack yet.
Mankey lashed out with its slender yet muscular arms, and struck the Psyduck once, twice, three, four times! Althena cried out, flailing her little arms. Then her eyes glowed an eerie blue, and Mankey became engulfed in the same blue light. It seemed wracked with pain, and as Althena released it, it landed on the ground with a thud.
"Shake it off and use Fury Swipes again!" Cue Ball yelled. Mankey took a small step forward, but was unable to use that attack, instead swiping at Althena with a mere Scratch attack.

Jaeshan gave Ryka a thumbs-up, feeling relieved as he heard that familiar chiming sound. Nurse Joy handed him back his fully refreshed team, and he released Butterfree almost instantly. "Glad to see you're better now," he said, holding out his arm. The butterfly landed, flapping her wings to help lessen her weight, and she chittered happily, still seeming somewhat happy despite how things went in the last battle. "You're great," Jaeshan told her, thinking about the day she'd evolved. It had all been thanks to Kasiya, and her teams willing 'sacrifices' to help. He never would forget that look on Shocker's face afterwards though.

Ryka watched as Ebony's pokeball popped out of the machine. "Yup, I've got him!" She said, picking up the pokeball and releasing the Haunter. "Hey there, Ebony! Ready to evolve?" She asked the Pokemon with a smile. He looked at the girl quizzingly. And then suddenly, his whole body glowed a feint white. He at least doubled in size, growing spiker as well. His hands came to his body, and legs grew from the bottom. He was a Gengar. "Wow!" Ryka called excitedly. "You evolved, Ebony!!" Ebony looked down at himself and smiled.

By now the gas was starting to thin out, and Kasiya could see that Shocker was still standing. She didn't look beaten yet as she unleashed another mighty Thunderbolt, zapping the offending Muk quite effectively. It moaned in pain, and retreated back towards its trainer, not wanting to get shocked again.
"Get out there and fight!" Skinny Guy shouted, kicking the ground. Muk seemed to refuse, giving some garbled gurgling sound in retaliation. "Fine, you big coward," Skinny Guy shouted, and recalled the Muk angrily. "It's your turn. Get it, Marowak!"
The skull-headed Marowak appeared before them, tossing its bone club high in the air and catching it, following up the show by slamming it on the ground.
"Oh no," Kasiya gasped, flashbacks of her father losing several matches thanks to the work of both Marowak and its pre-evolution, Cubone. "Get back, Shocker!" Kasiya called. "I don't want you getting hurt if you don't have to!" She held Ariel's Pokeball at the ready, and Shocker's in the other hand.
"Rai...Chuu!" Shocker cried out, releasing a Thunderbolt. Marowak lifted its bone club in reply, the electricity sizzling and traveling into the ground where it became harmless.
"No Shocker!" the girl yelled. "That's not going to work! Watch out!" Kasiya's warning had come to late as the Marowak rushed forward, slamming the Raichu with a powerful Headbutt attack. Shocker fell to all fours, her ears and tail twitching angrily. "Return, NOW!" Kasiya yelled, raising a Pokeball and pulling the ailing Raichu inside. Why wouldn't she listen to me? Kasiya thought angrily, releasing her Vaporeon in reply.

Mitsu watched the enitre transformation though the screen wishing that she had been there. "Ebony you're a Gengar!" Mitsu practically squealed looking at her Pokemon. "Pika pi!" Blitz cheered though the other side. "Shall we trade back now Ryka?"

Kilik tugged somewhat on Nina's sleeve. "Come on, let's go get my Badge," he told her. Flareon jumped onto his owner's shoulder as he was stepping outside of the Pokemon Center. He pulled out his PokeNav and started scrolling through the menus. There was a message. "Hmm," he whispered, raising the volume and selecting it.
"Hey! Kilik! Come on home! I have a surprise for you!" It sounded like his father. He blinked and put the Nav back into his pocket. "I'll go back," he thought aloud, "after I get my Plain Badge."

Ryka nodded. "Ok Ebony. It was nice to own you for a minute." She said with a laugh, returning Ebony to his pokeball. "Give Mitsu my reguards!" She said, putting the pokeball back in the machine. For the third time that day, another pokeball came out of the machine, this one being Blitz's. Ryka automatically let him out of the pokeball. He climbed up her shirt and onto her shoulder, licking her face. "It's nice to see you too, Blitz!" She said, grinning.
