Out from the academy, Houka was running has fast as he could to catch up on is sensei. He took time to watch is surronding. The environment was quickly changing into a rocky barren place, somewhere in the Aniki mountain, Houka guessed. The place smelled odd, with stone debris and craked rock everwhere. Houka had to watch where he was going, to avoid falling onto pit or walking on spiked ground.
*This is a death trap for anyone not carefull to watch is step. A nice place to train...*

Katare was about halfway through a bowl of rice when he finally noticed Houka getting somewhere close. Katare put down the rice bowl and sighed. "Well, guess I'm starting training a bit earlier than I thought..." Katare began to chuckle a little bit. This kid's faster than I thought, this might be kinda fun... Katare readied himself for Houka to get really close, knowing that he wanted to start off the jutsu training the very moment that he got there. Katare made some hand symbols, and would wait for the very moment Houka was close before using the jutsu...

Still running, Houka made is way to where is sensai was waiting. Since he was far away from him, he didn't see what he was doing. Houka stop running when he was close enough. Houka made note of the surrounding, then he is eye came back on the man facing him. Houka didn't know what to do else so he waited...

(17>15, Shunshin no jutsu is a success.)
Katare stood in place, staring Houka down intently. After about 30 seconds, he began dashing towards him, fist at the ready. 15 feet... 10 feet... NOW! Katare smirked, figuring that Houka was confused as hell... "Shunshin no jutsu!" Within the blink of an eye, Katare had disappeared. Completely out of sight. Katare was tired of confusing his student, though, and decided to give himself away. Surely Houka would hear all the laughing behind him... "...Okay, let's actually start training now. No more pranks, I promise!" Katare broke up into laughter again, picturing the look that had probably been on Houka's face...

Still not knowing what whas appening, Houka prepare for a dodge. At the last second, is sensei disappeared. Still not knowing what whas happening, Houka tried to locate is sensei by looking everwhere around him. He was shocked at first, but maybe it was all is sensei's plan. He snape out of his though, when he heard someone laugh's behind him. Looking behind is back, he saw Katare laughing at him.
''Man, you scared the hell out of me...that was a jitsu or some ninja trick...huh? My mom actually did that trick on me, when i was more younger...''

Katare smiled, glad that Houka had caught on. "Yeah, it was a jutsu, but I doubt it was the same one that your mother used on you. That particular jutsu was called shunshin no jutsu, and..." Katare giggled, figuring that perhaps Houka was anticipating the answer... "And I'm afraid that you will not be learning it today." Katare then stepped away, preparing to show Houka something different. "Today, you'll be learning a basic jutsu known as the Henge." Katare formed several hand symbols... "Henge no jutsu!" There was a poof of smoke, and when the smoke cleared, Katare would be replaced by... a large rock. And a talking one, at that... "The henge allows one to change forms into any other object using their chakra. Why don't you try it? You should be able to find the hand symbols on me..." And, of course, into the rock was carved all of the hand symbols, in order from left to right.
(15-5=10 from the shunshin, 10-2=8CP from Henge.)
(Okay, I'm using the "learning curve". You roll a 20-sided die. If you fail the jutsu, you lose 1 Cp, if you succeed you lose 2. Until you get it right the first time, the DC is 15. Until you get it right the second time, it's 13. The third and final time, it's 11.
For every post that you choose to rest, you recover up to 2 CP. Do you understand?)

Houka paid close attention to what his sensai was telling him, then he study the hand symbol, practicing them untill he'd memored them. Then, we he though he was ready, he mimic the hand symbol, concentrating every bit of chakra in is hand and he said ''Henge''. Houka didn't know if the jitsu work or didn't work.

*Nothing happened*
Houka didn't do it, he didn't feel different or something. Not that he would believe he would have do it the first time.
*Ok, i'm going to try and rest until I do it. I'm not going to give up that easaly*
Houka concentrated, yet again, summoning chakra into his hand.

*Come on, I know I can do it, a basic jutsu...I just need too concentrate.*
Will focusing, he pratice the hand sign yet again, to be sure he didn't do any mistake. Then he focus the remaining of his chakra into his hand and said :

(Oh you don't have to be sorry for that XD. I'm usally forgiving for stuff like that...it's not the end of the world XD. Ok, rule understood)
Houka was tired. He sensed that he wasted too much of chakra. He decided to do some meditation, before attempting the jutsu again. He really wanted to learn it, the first step to being a real ninja. So, like his mother though him, he sit in the rocky ground and he emptied his mind. He could have easaly stay that way all day, but that would have been a waste of time, in a way. Slowly, chakra would get back into his body.

Noticing that chakra was flowing back into his body, Houka got out of his short meditation and he was back on his feet.
He prepare himself, again, praticing his hand sign. When he feel he was ready for another try, he concentrate his chakra in all is body, instead of his hand. After all, Henge no jutsu affected all the body, not just a part of it. Slowly doing all the hand sign, he said out:
Henge no jutsu.

Those words where lost, has Houka enter yet another time meditation. He empty his mind t'i'll he heard no noise nore the wind in the mountain. He could not hear the craking of the stone or feel the little tiny stone peeking on his skin because of the wind. He was in transe.

(Umm, it's only minus 2 CP if you succeed, and only 1CP if you fail, so actually... you're up to 3 CP now. Sorry I failed to clarify that, I'm kinda sleepy...)
Katare released the henge, and watched the student as he began to train his first jutsu.. he wasn't doing too great, either. Katare was thinking about encouraging Houka, but when he turned around, he noticed that the boy was in a state of trance. Katare smiled broadly. He's a lot like I was, back when I joined the academy... yeah, I think he'll do fine. I just need to let him concentrate... Katare turned towards the edge of the plateau.. And decided that training using dangerous situations wasn't needed at the moment. No, he'd be fine with regular training. Katare began to concentrate yet again. Okay, no room for error anymore. I have to start getting this down pat... Katare noted that Houka was about three feet away.. and formed the hand symbols, concentrating nearly all of his chakra into one spot. "Shunshin no jutsu!"
