This rain was becoming a bit much, and the thunder..Shuddering at the thought of the loud crashes she pushed the thought away and turned her attention to the interior of the shop she had entered. It was, interesting, nothing like she was used to at all. Being from the country side, she knew mostly of earthy designs and organic looks, this was almost an eyesore to her. Shaking her head and walking up to the counter, she quickly ordered a hot tea, very pale and very sweet, much like the tea that her clan would make. At the last moment, she asked for one of the large muffins on display, her mouth watering a bit at the sight of it. She was starving after yesterday as she had just arrived in this town, and having only sought out refuge at the bar. Blinking at the thought of the bar, she was drawn back to the single interaction she had had so far with someone from here. What a peculiar man. Though he hadn't been completely wrong with his judgement about her having had a drink before. Smiling and covering a chuckle with her hand, she nodded to the person who brought her tea and muffin and gave them the $3.50 she owed. Finding a table, the silver haired woman sat quietly by herself. Her clothing looked much like what she had been wearing yesterday, but she had removed much of the ornate pieces and the chimes that traditionally went with the clothing that signified that she was a prophet. Pulling off a piece of her muffin, she popped it into her mouth and chewed slowly as she stared out the window, letting herself get lost in thought. How long had it been since she had completed a reading for someone? She had left the community after her twenty-fifth birthday, and she was now twenty-seven. It had been two long years since her last reading. Biting her bottom lip a bit, she wondered how rusty her skills could have gotten in that amount of time. Was that even a thing? Being a prophet was literally who she is, it was in her blood, it wasn't like it just went away. A slight glowing glint sharpened her pale green eyes for a moment as she felt a surge of her power, then it quickly subsided with no direction of action to take. Taking a deep breath, Rowan refocused herself and calmed her seemingly now frayed nerves, pushing those thoughts away quickly, she took a book out from the messenger bag she had slung over her shoulder and opened it to the last page she was on, popping another piece of her muffin into her mouth as she read, sipping on her tea at the same time as well, her eyes never left the pages. ❀ ❝Ⓒⓞⓡⓐⓛⓨⓝ Ⓓⓤⓑⓞⓘⓢ❞ ❀ ══════════════════════════ "There will come a prince, that will see right into my heart."Stopping the cab outside the industrial looking destination she was invited to, she felt too exhausted to even swing open her bright and colorful umbrella and took a run for shelter as soon as the door flung open. Shaking off the droplets collected on her hair and jacket like a dog, she contemplated waiting outside for her company or stepping inside with the warm aroma of coffee that wouldn't freeze the skin her stockings barely managed to hide. A bad day to wear a small skirt and her 'cute' cat head stockings, a bad day to be out of her house altogether. But how could she ever deny someone, especially if that someone was Camil. He was too special to let her mood swings get the best of her. Mood swings were just a pleasant term to label her current condition. She was an elemental creature and any imbalance in it would cause her some kind of distress. It wasn't permanent though, it was just her body's coping mechanism and two days of continuous rains didn't seem to help with it. It never happened often, she was quite the opposite of this and she surely didn't like it. At home, she was surrounded by plants which usually managed to help her with these dark days. A few minutes of her legs pressing together to feel some warmth from the chilling breeze, she finally stepped inside and instantly her bright blue hues lit up a little to see this extraordinary setup and the scent of roasted coffee beans masking the damp soil from outside. As much as she liked the latter, the new scent didn't go unwelcomed. She took a moment to glance at her phone in case her company had made any indications of his whereabouts before she slipped it into her coat pocket again and found a decent spot for the two, away from the many sitting around. Leaning back in her seat, she checked her phone yet again, a small smile playing upon her lips when she'd see her display image - the one she took with Camil at the library. Oh how it warmed her thinking of how willing he was to take it and now she had one with his family to her collection from the previous night. A small chuckle escaped her lips as she looked at it, eyes cast on the little girl that resembled her brothers in a feminine way, whom she assumed to be Camil's love interest. Good thing he never realized that. They were a lovely bunch, almost making her wish her sister and her would get along better. A quick sigh escaped her lips as she looked back at the door, a smile tugging on her lips as she finally noticed the tall fingure stepping in. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Company: No-one yet. || Mood: Uneasy || Single || ❀ || Where: Moonbucks Café || Listening to: || OOTD: Gloomy meow~ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Occ: I apologize if it was poo!

❛❛Sometimes you have to give up, not because you didn't try to move mountains to be with someone. You give up because they didn't try to move mountains to be with you. I'm feeling indifferent. || I'm speaking to Coralyn. || I'm wearing smart casual || I have $200 on me and $800 stashed in the bank. || I have feelings for no one.
▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇
“Why do you never come with us-!” Lyra exclaimed, unwillingly slipping her small feet into her shoes as Camil carefully tied her shoe lace into a small ribbon, in the backseat of the car. Golden orbs gazed upwards to lock onto another similar pair, one filled with disappointment, while the other seemed just a tad apologetic. She had been whining since he had stopped accompanying her in town during the past two days, having been busy with her birthday dinner. It was hectic the previous night, but noticing the way his sibling’s features light up at the sight of her favourite dishes simply melted all hos insecurities away, replaced with a sense of comfort, and love.
”Because your big brother Camil, is going on a date with Miss Coralyn! You don’t want to ruin the day, do you, Lyra?” Rigel stepped in, large hands coming forth to cradle her by her shoulders before she finally gave up with a small, frustrated huff. “No..” she answered. ”Hush, Rigel. It is nothing of the sorts.” he countered, though his cheeks seemed to flush a shade of delicate pink. ”I’ll play with you once I return, alright, my dear? Be patient, I won’t be gone for too long.” his hand gently grazed across her puffed rosy cheeks, her skin lightly tanned, and porcelain smooth, before he tucked a stray lock of raven black tresses behind her ear. She nodded, only then releasing her tight grip upon the musician’s black knitted sweater. The raindrops fell hard against the car’s wind shield, like the sounds of bullets, or the sound of hammers against nails. It was loud, but the world was silent for Camil, save the occasional rumble of the thunder that he felt against his eardrums. The car pulled over to the side upon reaching their destination, and he’d quickly plant a kiss atop the crown of her head, before pushing the door open, and disappearing into the vast ocean of the busy crowd that hid beneath the safety of their umbrellas, as did he. The overhead bell jingled when he pushed open the door, feeling the sharp coldness of the handle like needles prickling against the soft skin of his hand. The last time he came had been a few months prior, despite the rising popularity of this local cafe, but the young man was never quite able to find his love for desserts, unlike most of those in town. The sweetness that lingered upon his tongue tasted sickening, like a spoonful of sugar tossed into his mouth. He didn’t drink boba tea, that everyone seemed to be so crazy about as of late, nor the double chocolate chip cookie he was so eagerly reccommended the one time he stepped in. Perhaps he was just an old man, like what Lyra described him as. Someone who couldn’t tolerate the least bit of sugar in his drinks. Even the smell of pastries seem to close off his appetite, despite the smell that wasn’t quite unwelcomed. But knowing most were sweettooths, Camil decided he could at least compromise, to at least show he appreciated her help the previous night. Golden orbs scanned the establishment, eventually locking onto a pair of light coloured blues that stood out amidst a vast ocean of blurred faces. ”Good morning. I hope you haven’t wait long.” he asked, reaching forth to draw his chair outwards before taking a seat on the opposite end of the round table. ”I’m sorry for calling you out on such a short notice. I hope.. you weren’t too busy?”He recalled the way he asked her when the four of them were halfway to her house, to which he quickly regretted when Rigel decided to tease the both of them, of how they seemed to emit the air of a new budding love. The ride had been noisy, then, with their back and forth banters, and the sound of Lyra’s laughter whenever she noticed the way his cheeks flushed a shade of deep red. ”Tomorrow, Moonbucks, at ten!” he exclaimed, frustrated wifh the nonsensical claims. “I’ll be seeing you then.” he crossed his arms, yet the laughing did not stop until they watched the woman’s retreating figure disappear behind the closed door of her house. But despite the way he claimed otherwise, the young man still threw in the extra effort to look presentable, even though he dressed nearly the same every other day. His outfit was made up of mostly black, with a white dress shirt beneath his thin knitted sweater. ”Have you ordered? It’ll be my treat today, so please, feel free to pick anything you’d like.” he begun, leaving the menu untouched while he gestured for her to ppace her order. Golden gaze hardly grazed across the list of pastries, knowing it was less than likely he’d choose something to eat, save the cup of bitter Americano he’d choose to settle with. ”I figured- I’d like to thank you for your help, is all.”▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇Out.Of.Crocodiles: sorry if mine is poopy--

Something she enjoyed doing since leaving her home was people watch. It was always interesting to see how people interacted with one another or how they behaved. Her pale eyes flicked from face to face, then over the workers, trying to keep her eyes moving and not staying on one face too long to attract unwanted attention. With her musings over people, she recognized the look of the grumpy blonde from the bar from the night before. Arching a brow in silent question to herself, she saw that he was still wearing the sunglasses. She was curious, but what baffled her was how he spoke and then smirked to the poor woman working the counter. Shaking her head, she turned her attention back to her book, wondering how someone could get any joy out of treating someone like that. Maybe she was too new to the outside world still... Having turned her attention back to her book, she continued to sip her tea as she read, not noticing the approach of the man. His voice from right next to her though, and seemingly addressing her, made her jump slightly as she turned her eyes up to level with him as he sat across from her. Peculiar behavior of someone who seemed to want to be left alone, or at least have no interest in any real conversation with someone. Smirking herself, she looked back down at her book and replied evenly, "It's only considered stalking if I were to get her after you and have had the intention to follow you. I think at this point it would be considered you stalking me." Lifting her eyes up for a moment to look at him, she chuckled and looked back down, "Should I be concerned?' Smiling to herself, she took a piece of her muffin and chewed it slowly. Though he had been rather, rude, to the poor woman at the counter, Rowan wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to possibly make some sort of friend in this town. She was interested to see if he was always like that, or maybe he was just moody? It was bad to judge too quickly. ❀ ❝Ⓒⓞⓡⓐⓛⓨⓝ Ⓓⓤⓑⓞⓘⓢ❞ ❀ ══════════════════════════ "There will come a prince, that will see right into my heart."Her face lit up and it seemed like gloomy feelings were lifted away with his mere presence. She recalled the odd circumstances he invited her out in, almost flushing up at how his family assumed she was something more than just a friend to him. Was she? she thought for a moment, locking her feet together as she swung them gently when he sat down. Part of her was feeling bad for Lyra too, hoping she didn't take her beloved brother away from her when she was here for a visit. He looked as charming as usual, black did suit him well and his clothes fit his frame quite perfectly. His scent, something she couldn't get enough of and was glad it overpowered the smell of coffee around them. Shaking her head with a slight smile, she couldn't manage to be the overpowering ray of sunshine she could usually be, but bright she was none the less. "I haven't, I just got cold outside so I stepped in early." she would sign after sliding her phone back into her pocket, her blues remained on him. "I'm never usually busy, and I think its nice stepping out for a change." she added with a little grin. Now it made her wonder if she didn't put enough effort to her own outfit. It had unusually dull colors except for the pale shirt. Her hair wasn't set as perfectly as yesterday and just left with a small bow hairpin on the side, in case she'd need her bangs out of the way. Did it seem like she didn't try for their little 'date' as his siblings termed it? She would hate it if he thought so too, she really cared about his opinion and wanted to look appealing to him. "You don't have to...I mean, you already had me over for dinner yesterday, I'll feel bad having you pay for me.." she signed, glancing at the menu none the less to make her pick. Now Coralyn did have a sweet tooth but she didn't want to get something he wouldn't get to try, but the pictures on them were a tad bit too tempting to resist and give up her sweet tooth. She held up the menu and pointed to the cappuccino, and a blueberry muffin next. Her finger slowly inching away as her cheeks flushed from the thought of him thinking she ate a little too much when she'd point down to the cheesecake slice and lowered it to the chocolate flavoring. She probably would order more as they'd spend some time there, but for now, she would settle for the two she mentioned. While the pair would wait for their pick, she'd glance around at the interesting setup before looking back at him. If this was a date, it wasn't quite a bad choice for him. "How is Lyra doing? And Mr Rigel? I feel bad that he's here visiting and you have to spend time with me than her.." she signed, exhaling lightly as it did add to her mood now. Why oh why was it so upsetting?! ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Company: Camil || Mood: Uneasy || Single || ❀ || Where: Moonbucks Café || Listening to: || OOTD: Gloomy meow~ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Occ: Yours is never poo~

Ooh, this rain was getting on her nerves! It was frizzing up her hair and she just can't take how humid it's been lately! Lottie was able to get into Moonbucks right before the rain came down harder, shaking the umbrella off near the door. If the rain keeps up like this, there's definitely going to be some flooding later on in the week. She's going to have to plan to stay home over the weekend! Lottie grabbed a chair, taking in the scent of coffee and freshly baked pastries, preferring that over the smell of muggy air and pouring rain.
She took out her drawing supplies and a landscape she was working on and inspected a camera she had brought with her, just to make sure it wasn't wet or anything. She knew there was no way it could, but checking it was just something that calmed her. After setting down her things, she began sketching, somewhat inspired by the rainy scenery outside the cafe window she was by. It certainly is a nice mood for drawing, though! Just as she thought that, her elbow knocked over some of her charcoal pencils and chalk, getting little bits of black dust all over the floor. She scrambled to pick them up without getting her clothes messy, but more fell down to the ground. Lottie saw one of them break in two and felt actual physical pain from watching one of her precious pastels break. She cares way too much these things..! Goodness, she hopes she isn't making a mess!

⌘ Sigmund Rohan ⌘ ✬ Resident of Pasadena District ✬ ☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅ The world decided to throw another heavy wet day in Soleil's way, which was still a bit of an annoyance for Sigmund. He got caught out in the rain a bit, but luckily he managed to buy an umbrella yesterday just in case. He also held his waterproof messenger bag that held his laptop, and some art supplies in it as well. He was planning on doing some work on his laptop, and maybe sketch something out in case he got stuck out in the rain as he went about his errands. It looked to pay off as he walked into Moonbuck's to get out of the rain for awhile hoping that it'd pass. The young man had shook off the umbrella near the door before having walked in as he looked around the place. The news stated that there was a chance of a flash flooding this weekend if the rain didn't let up. It was definitely shaping up to be an interesting week for Sigmund, and a nice welcome party. The cafe seemed rather inviting, and would probable be a place he could see himself coming to in the future. There definitely seemed to be a good amount of people in the cafe regardless of the weather. "I hope the rain let's up a bit so I can go on my way. I need to make sure I have everything just in case it does end up flooding this weekend." The thought wasn't a fun one considering he'd rather not get stuck in a flood situation. Red eyes looked at the suspended menu they had, before his attention was immediately directed towards the sound of items falling to the ground. Sigmund saw a young white haired woman scrambling to pick up art supplies that she had knocked down. One of the charcoal pencils had rolled to his feet, so one of his hands reached down to pick it up. The young man walked over to Lottie, and started picking up some of the items that she hadn't collected yet, including the broken pastel. A light frown marred his lips seeing that it looked like it wouldn't be able to be fixed. "Hey are you alright, or just had a minor accident?" His voice questioned with a hint of worry offering the drawing supplies he had picked up for her, except the broken one in his other hand. His eyes inspected it for a few more seconds, before smiling a bit. Sigmund shifted his bag to where it was on his front, before digging through one of the pockets. After a couple of seconds, he pulled out a similar item that wasn't broken before offering her both the broken one, and his own. "I have extra's at home just in case I had an accident like this. You can have this one to hold you over until you either get a new one, or replace it when you get home." He offered before moving to the side to allow one of the employees to clean up the black dust residue that was on the ground. His eyes managed to catch a glimpse of the beginnings of her sketch. Sigmund looked back up at Lottie, before extending a hand in a greeting. "I'm Sigmund by the way. It's nice to meet you. Sorry about your supplies breaking. I hate when things like that happen to me, but hopefully the one I gave you can help you in finishing that sketch. It looks to be coming along nicely." The young man introduced himself in a friendly manner. It was always nice to see the different creations that artist did. If he didn't join the military he wouldn't have been surprised if he did something with art. ☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅☪❅ ♚Mood;; Sluggish tab ❂Company;; A talented stranger tab ♚Status;; Single tab ❂Money;; 1000 tab ♚Attire;; Rainy weather tab » Profile »Out Of Character: It's perfectly fine on both accounts. The sweet scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, easing the tension that had built up upon his shoulders within the past couple of stressful days. A sweet scent of chocolate lingered, albeit faint, laced with a fine hint of fresh milk and freshly baked bread. Everything smelled a tad too sweet for his liking, but knowing his companion who seemed quite fond of pastries had him compromising for her sake. He supposed there was no harm done, considering how he had once eaten the full bag of Valentines chocolate she spent most of her effort on. He remembered, the way her eyes glistened with tears after his countless rejection, yet it still surprised him that a simple kind gesture on his end could easily turn her frown upside down. He’d notice, and remember the little things as of late. From how her eyes seemingly brighten up should he approach her from afar, like a puppy eagerly wagging its tail. To how she seemed just a tad embarrassed whenever he’d address her as “my dear”, or how she’d seem just the slightest bit happy should he let her have her way: like how he’d let her blow dry his hair, or how he’d accept the dark chocolate she fed with her dainty fingertips.
His legs crossed atop the other as he straightened his posture. The air in the cafe was warmer than the outdoors, yet it still felt cold against his skin. The lights were dimly lit, the industrial setting leaving a cozy feeling that eventually put him at ease, as did her presence. ”I’ve always prefered the calamity of my own home.” he paused, tapping his index finger against the wooden table top as he pondered, ”Though I suppose stepping out does provide a comforting change.” he chuckled.
His eyes glanced at her, taking notice of her dark coat, along with a light colouree cotton sweater, and what he’d assume as a white undershirt paired with a black leather skirt. They were dressed in a rather.. similar fashion, weren’t they? Camil couldn’t help but find it a tad amusing. The corner of his lips curved upwards, though it could easily go unnoticed when he turned his head away and instead, settled upon gazing at the droplets trickling down the clear windows. “You don't have to...I mean, you already had me over for dinner yesterday, I'll feel bad having you pay for me.." she signed, before placing her order. ”Americano.” he answered, before turning his head back towards her with a quiet sigh.
”No, it’s-” he paused. He felt it was courtesy that he treat her to desserts, especially when he’d so bitterly demand her to meet him without giving her much of a choice. On such a horrid weather, too. ”I just felt the need to personally thank you for last night.” he crossed his arms as his gaze downcast in a manner akin to.. shyness as he spoke his next set of words. ”..and also for- well, everything you’ve done. Up until now.” from the day she snuck him out of the hospital, or the way she so willingly stuck by him when he treated her the worst way possible, even for the chocolates she so forcefully demanded that he accept, down to yesterday night, and all of the in betweens.
“Why did you ask?" she asked yesterday, to which he only answered with a smile before handing her the mixer. Why? Because she was the only one who stayed when others had decided to leave. She’d claim that it felt nice to be understood, but in truth, he felt that she was the one who had saved him from his misery. She was the one who understood. Finally easing into the atmosphere, Camil allowed himself to lean his back against the backrest, watching the way she’d refrain from placing another order. Truth be told, he didn’t quite mind. In fact, he was hoping she’d eat to her heart’s content.
"How is Lyra doing? And Mr Rigel? I feel bad that he's here visiting and you have to spend time with me than her.."
At the sound of her quiet sigh, his eyes widened, allowing his gaze to linger upon her for a tad longer before answering her question. ”We were supposed to bring her to the amusement park, though it seems the weather isn’t quite.. letting up. But fret not, I have time to spend with you.” rain had been heavy throughout the week, leaving the trio rather.. gloomy and tense. Rigel seemed to go about as he always had, but Camil knew that on days like these, he mourns the death of his wife. Molten golds were fixed upon her expression, and though calm as she appeared to be, she seemed a tad.. dull. Not because of her clothes, nor because of the atmosphere. She just seemed.. lost.
”Are you not faring well? Have I perhaps caught you at a bad time?”

❀ ❝Ⓒⓞⓡⓐⓛⓨⓝ Ⓓⓤⓑⓞⓘⓢ❞ ❀ ══════════════════════════ "There will come a prince, that will see right into my heart."Coralyn wished he'd take her some place he'd prefer, especially considering he wasn't fond of of sweets and this place basically bathed in the scents of sweets with a strong scent of caffeine which fought for glory. Although for her it was as pleasant as can be. Come to think of it now, he did quite a lot of things for her, putting up with her, giving into her little requests which sometimes might be something he wasn't even comfortable with. He ate her chocolates, let her hug him and take a picture with him, kissed his cheek..oh God, she was indeed a child. Yet he still stuck around her which made her feel, quite a bit special even at a state of mind like this. Watching him straighten his posture almost made her conscious about her own. Was she sulking because of how she felt? She hoped not, sitting upright as she looked back at him when he spoke. A smile tugged on her lips when he'd talk about preferring the comforts of his home. It was quite the same for her too, but she also switched to wanting to have a walk outside or sit under the sun for sometime and admire nature's beauty. "Especially with the right company" she smiled, hers quite obviously implying to him. He was her favorite person despite his occasional bitter spites to her and she wouldn't want to spend a day without him being an essential part of it. Swinging her legs still, her eyes cast over his, she still felt guilty just ordering an extra sweet. Given a chance she could have easily ordered four and gulped them down like they were nothing but she wanted to hold back, especially since he'd probably not even look at the wide array of sweets their table would be decorated with. Even with all the plunder of emotions that made her feel uneasy, she didn't want to stop being herself. It wasn't like her to not see a rainbow through this cloud of gloom anyways. "Just a cup of coffee?" she asked, scrunching up her face in disgust of something so bitter. "You should try some of the muffin when it comes, its not too sweet, maybe you'd like it?' she asked with a smile. "You already did, and you ate the chocolate I fed you, so we're even already" she would sign with a little childish grin, feeling more and more like herself while being around him. "Although, if you really wish to thank me.." she started off signing, making a gesture of a kiss and pointed to her cheek. A cheeky grin played on her lips as she waited for him to snap at her little remark. She did occasionally pull his leg like this, enjoying when he'd sternly remind her how she should be a 'proper lady' and not act like this. She did gesture she was joking, sulking a little too as she felt uneasy again. How was it that her mood could go back to gloomy in just a snap? Her attention went up to him as he spoke about his sister and their plan. That sure did make her a tad bit upset for the lass. A quick smile pulled across her lips from what he had to end with, it felt good to know, warming her heart a little. Straightening up a little from his question, she shook her head quickly to assure him she was fine. "N-No, I'm fine." she sign, "It's probably the weather, but I'm fine..thank you for asking." she added with a little nod. It felt nice to know he cared. Soon enough the waiter would drop by with their order, her eyes brightening a little at the sight of the sweet treats she ordered and and the picture perfect cappuccino. Although she pursed her lips lightly, eyeing his boring bitter mix as the waiter placed it before him, making a face at him yet again, reminiscent of the one she made earlier at his mention of it. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Company: Camil || Mood: Uneasy || Single || ❀ || Where: Moonbucks Café || Listening to: || OOTD: Gloomy meow~ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Occ:

❛❛Sometimes you have to give up, not because you didn't try to move mountains to be with someone. You give up because they didn't try to move mountains to be with you. They settled for their life and the people in it, even when it isn't what they really want. You weren't meant to live a lie. Hold your head high and know that you won't ever settle for that misery. Let go.❜❜ ▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

While he did pick up the meaning of her words, Camil only glanced at her for a few seconds longer before turning away with a quiet snort. Despite her honest confessionson occasions more than once, he still found it difficult to believe he was someone worth hanging around. His self confidense had wavered within years passed, worrying if he was good enough for others, even stooping low enough to allow himself to become a mere accessory to others. A boyfriend of “play-pretend”, until he finally learned to close off his own heart. While he assumed everyone was the same, Coralyn came along, stubbornly clinging onto him as did many others, but this one seemed to frustrate him to a certain extent. Not because she was unbearable, but because she was so different, that he no longer understood how to react to that particular situation. Not a single man, or woman he came across was as stubborn, nor child-like as she, but perhaps it was also because of that, that he had realized and came to envy the innocence she had, that she saw the best in everything. That she saw the best in him.
”Flatterer.” he teased.
He loved coffee, and the way a bittersweet aftertaste lingered upon the tip of his tongue after a single sip, the way it would leave a less sickening feeling in his stomach. He liked the bitterness, like a wake up call to his thoughts that had fogged within such weather. He was not surprised at her disgusted reaction to his coffee choice, given how Lyra had shown him one that was remotely similar after taking a sip of his black coffee. But at her request, Camil’s eyebrows furrowed, and it was his turn to return an expression of mild disgust. ”The last time I trusted someone, my mouth ended up with a spoonful of sugar.” he huffed, and though she may claim that it wouldn’t be as sweet, the musician still remained doubtful, eyeing her with a judgemental gaze that spoke thousands of spiteful comments.
”You make it sound like an achievement.” but even he could see why. Camil hardly let others feed him, nor does he let anyone touch him so freely, save his own family. He easily grew uncomfortable should someone step into his personal space, but after months and months of her persistence, the young man eventually found himself easing up in her presence, allowing her a privilege others didn’t have. But at her odd request, Camil found himself simply looking on at her, half surprised, and half expecting the cheeky response. ”Nonsense. Is that all you think about.’ he countered with a small, unamused huff, his cheeks beginning to turn a lovely hue of the sunset, laced with a fine hint of pink. But he was pondering on her request, quite unsure if she had only been joking, or if her words held any weight or meaning. Would that make her happy? He rolled his eyes, though it drew out a small chuckle, and he found himself laughing over her strange response. ”I seem to find you making it a habit of kissing my cheek as of late. You’re making yourself quite comfortable, no?” his eyes narrowed.
His gaze downcast for a short moment, before he pulled the glove off his right hand and pressed the back of his hand against the soft skin of her forehead. Her skin felt cold against his, yet warmed up against his, and he’d eventually withdraw his hand, slipping his fingers back into the confinements of his leather confinements. But perhaps it really had been the weather that dragged her mood down, like a heavyweight pressing down against her smaller frame. He fell silent, letting the atmosphere hang over them as he brought the mug to his lips, taking a small sip of aromatic coffee as he pondered on what he should say.
My, it truly is bitter.
”Lyra was asking about you, both last night and this morning.” he begun, and though it seemed like a casual topic on his end, he was simply attempting to lift her mood, albeit only a little. ”It seems she’s taken a liking to you, considering how she glued herself to you last night- I didn’t think she’d ease up to someone quite so easily.” if he had to admit, it made him quite.. jealous.

This man was going to be an interesting one to interact with. He seemed guarded and quite reluctant about people in general, but why he had sat down and was interacting with her contradicted everything else, what a fascinating man. Closing her book and sliding it back into her bag, she watched him as he sat there, wondering what she would see if she did touch him. When she heard the strange ding sound come from seemingly no where, she arched a brow and set her chin in her hand, her eyes following his movements. Oh, the sound had come from his phone. Feeling a bit silly, she had forgotten the things existed and that nearly everyone now had them. She was probably one of the few people out in the world who didn’t have one. It seemed a short lived interaction with the little piece of technology as he placed it back in his pocket. Curiosity burned in her throat, but she kept her mouth shut and leveled her eyes on her food and drink in front of her, know she had stared for long enough. Finishing her muffin, she frowned at the empty plate, it seemed she had eaten most of it without even tasting it, which happened frequently if she read and ate at the same time. His voice pulled her thoughts away from the thoughts of her finished muffin and she chuckled again as she glanced at him before tapping the side of her cup gently. ”How perceptive if you. I am what they call a Prophet.” Though she smiled, her voice was a bit dead pan at the delivery. Talking about what she is always made her a little uncomfortable, even though her community was full of people like her and had encouraged her to accept it and be proud. Maybe it was the fact that her parents had rejected her almost immediately when they found out she was different. And why had she been born a Prophet if her family was human? The questions she had asked all her life made her chest feel tight, sighing lightly, his voice hit her ears again pulling her from her thoughts. She was thankful for that at least. His words made her think for a moment, then she started to laugh quietly as she watched him. It was a soft and relaxed sound as she tilted her head and smiled through the laughter, chin still resting on her hand. ”Well that would certainly be warrant for consideration of stalking, but unfortunately the foresight only works with physical contact,” teasing him a little, she reached her other hand out towards him, her index finger pointing at him. She had no real intention of touching him, so she stopped before she got too close and retracted her arm. ”But sometimes I don’t get a clear picture, depending on the person I can only pick up feelings of their future and no real clear picture of their future.” The last part was said with a shrug, it wasn’t like she could deny the truth of being a Prophet, as supernatural as it would seem, she was actually pretty normal. ❀ ❝Ⓒⓞⓡⓐⓛⓨⓝ Ⓓⓤⓑⓞⓘⓢ❞ ❀ ══════════════════════════ "There will come a prince, that will see right into my heart."Coralyn would watch him when he'd snot, making a little childish pout. Did he not believe her? It wasn't even the first time she was admitting it though, she did it as often as she could. As her grandmother would always say, 'there's no harm in admitting something if it makes someone happy.', which she did her best to apply every day, especially when it came to Camil. She'd even admit she found him appealing, maybe a little too straightforward with her feelings? It didn't matter too much, unless he found it offensive. She would still stick around though, quiet like she was if he needed her to be. "It's the truth though!" she signed with a little huff. Often she wondered if he did like her company as much as she did. Coralyn would pout at his huff, "It wouldn't hurt you to try." she would sign to his remark. As much as she knew, muffins weren't too sweet, at least to her taste buds. But then again, she was used to even trying sickeningly sweet things and still not having too much of a problem unlike him. They were so different, wincing and scrunching their faces at each other's tastes yet sticking around each other none the less. "Because it is." she stated instantly, her face lit up in pride as a girl scout who earned her sash full of badges. Every time he let her do something despite him liking it was like she had just upped a level in her mental game of god only knew what. Even if some of the things she did was to pull his leg and tease him, most of them were her genuine affection and desire for him to reciprocate it, which often would come off as annoying and clingy. Sticking her tongue out playfully at his remark, she snickered at receiving the kind of reaction she longed for. It was fun teasing him, but what was more amusing was watching his cheeks flush was quite a treat. She was tempted to draw her phone out and snap a picture of him just to save another memory but resisted as usual. Seemed like being around him just filtered out the negativity and made her feel more and more like herself. His next remark only made her cheeks flush a tad bit dark, feeling her skin warm up with the rush of blood to her face. "In my defense, I've only done so twice. Twice is by no means a 'habit'. Besides, I wouldn't mind making it a habit...if you'd let me but every other woman will just get jealous." she signed, acting all coy as she looked away, a tad bit embarrassed from what she just admitted. With her attention shifting to him when he'd raise his hand, her body stiffened almost nervously when he'd reach out to her. She assumed maybe he'd tug her cheek or something for stating something she did, only to find his hand touching her forehead. The comforts of his skin felt nice on her shifting mood, almost made her want to switch seats and nuzzle up to his arm. Her cheeks flushed up once again at the thought of it, surely he wouldn't let her, especially not with so many people around, making her look away and swing her legs yet again as she tried to divert her mind from the thought. With her spoon now digging into the cheesecake, her lost eyes flashed up to him as he spoke about Lyra, the cold metal touching her lips as she let it linger, taking her own sweet time to lick of the sweet treat from it as she gave him an ear while he spoke. "Really? I hope I get to meet her again then." she would smile as she signed, letting the spoon hang from her lips. Her mind wandered at the thought of last night, the door swung open as the pair would wait for his 'loved one' to enter and lo, a tiny child with features resembling her interest barged in, kicking off her boots with precision and tackling him into an embrace followed by his brother who closed the door after him, with no chance of a third party/mystery woman to be a part of this. That's when it hit her like a brick on her face. His 'loved one' was his family, his sibling, his..little sister. Her face had quite evidently displayed her confusion, which she had to shake off right after all of their golden hues shifted their attention to her. She even recalled Lyra's first reaction upon spotting her, "Her socks have kitty feet! Can we get those when we go out?" which did run a flush of embarrassing red on the girl's face, especially with two grown men around. Camil was different, yes, but having his little sister want something she had made her feel like she was indeed a child. Her lost eyes were less gloomy now as she recalled how she was helping the little raven haired princess with her sign, her lips tugging into a slight smile as she pulled off the metal from between her lips and went for another scoop. Realizing she must have been a little too lost in her thoughts, she looked up to him and pushed both her sweets before him. Eyes casting on the muffin of course as she knew he'd prefer that over the chocolatey treat she dug her spoon into. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Company: Camil || Mood: Pleasant-ish || Single || ❀ || Where: Moonbucks Café || Listening to: || OOTD: Gloomy meow~ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Occ:
