I wish I had thought of this sooner. But the fort idea feels like a good one since we could stop them from attacking the people with lower defense, fortify our defense a bit, heal back each turn, and even attack them from a range.

I had thought of it, but I figured if I started moving out there on my own everyone'd yell at me for doing my own thing... And right now I think we're fine where we're at. On our next turns we should move/shift ourselves towards it if possible but where we are at currently isn't so bad. Well, except for Seth and his frozen-ness for the moment but that can't be helped. Also, I'm probably going to get rng screwed again considering how derp I've been rolling this entire game. (I've only been lucky to have a full dice move or a move of 3 like, 4 or less times. Fffff. I'm stuck rolling 1's and 2's.) Sooo.... If I do end up having a crap roll someone may need to help haul my butt over to a location if possible. Mounted units could potentially Rescue the slow movers to the area. Just an idea.

Minor edit: Oh my god I rolled a full move roll. -drops dead in shock- -shot-

Another minor edit: I had a thought. Considering Vika's gonna be hidden through Shade for most of us covering for her, when the archer waves attack, she should hand over the Iote Shield to Mihira or Ziaram for tanking. Or, if I class back to Wyvern Rider, to me, because Provoke + high def + no double damage from archery + evelyn if she's willing to be the healing MVP = less to worry about. And if either of the two, same thing applying mostly esp with Mihira's defender skill with people on the fort tile with her if that's what we're doing. o3o

The main reason we haven't all moved towards the fort yet is because we didn't want to abandon Seth. Since he becomes unfrozen at the start of next turn, we can start to shift over towards that direction.

Also, that's a decent suggestion about the Iote shield

^^^^^^^ What Rath said. The reason why I didn't move toward the forth was because Seth is frozen. And although it's unknown if Seth will likely end up in the Time Out, I hope that my skill will help lessen the damage to let him survive.

So if Seth manages to survive and becomes unfrozen, we shall do what you and Shinon suggested.

Considering the pattern for the 4 NPC enemies right now, we're not gonna be able to break them up too easily because they're making use of their Dual Guard and Dual Strike skills by being clustered. Considering their def and str is pretty ******** ridiculous from it, I'm thinking right now we should seriously be doing some puff-puff passes with the Reaper/Daemon/Spectre cards and hitting them for magical damage to bring them down and Kira can blast one to smithereens on her own.

Once we've gotten rid of two of them that will just give the remaining two a +2 to str and def (correct me if I'm wrong) and by that point we should be within a better point to attack them physically. I don't recommend using the Reaper and Daemon cards unless we absolutely need to, but I noticed two of us on the board have almost full Spectre cards (10/10 uses, one has 9/10) so doing the passes with that to whittle them down sounds a much more viable approach than trying to hope for super near perfect d10 rolls for our damage.

Now that Seth's un frozen, aside from us trying to haul our butts towards the fort, I just figured I should mention the card use thing since I'm pretty sure we'll get pretty roughed up if we try to fight them otherwise. We should try to save the Daemon and Reaper cards for the boss so eating through the Spectre cards isn't too big of a thing, is it?

Feel free to point out anything I missed or make a different case or expand on things, I just wanted to get my thoughts out for you all.

yo i've been going through stuff so i'd like to apologize for singlehandedly delaying the game by days at at time, i'll work at not doing that wink

I'm good with all that's been discussed so far. Vika landed on the fort, we may proceed as discussed.

Yo gale dude, you have Reaper cards not Spectre (tho they got mislabled as Spectre on your item list) So you'd be doing more damage than 5. But the use of one reaper card isn't too big of a thing since you've got 3/5 uses on it now. Just FYI. But it's cool man, I think we can all understand the whole having life get in the way of our fun.

A little update on what's going on with me and stuff for the next couple weeks,

I had planned to relax at home this week, finish packing for a trip, see my mom, and not stress out. On Sunday, I call my mom and she tells me she got an e-mail from my roommate's mom, informing her that my roommate will be moving out at the end of July. ...What? He couldn't even tell me himself? The renter's informed me that they sent this notice over the 4th, and I suspect he knew he was planning on moving out weeks ago. I was the last person to know about this and I live there. I'm also leaving the country this Friday... and need to find a new roommate before I leave, because I'll be gone until the end of the month. So, because of this severe lack of any and all common courtesy, I have been super busy trying to get this taken care of, almost having mental breakdowns because my nice stress free week has totally shattered into tiny pieces. Also, he's breaking the lease and not suffering any consequences, and I'm the one who has to deal with the mess. So, I've been very annoyed. However, it's also a good thing that he's leaving, but I'll spare you all the rant on that.

So what does all this mean for boardgame?

Well, this mess is why I haven't updated game 5 as of yet. As for me being gone, yes this means that I won't be able to do updates.. much. I will have access to wifi at some of the places we're staying, and I'm bringing my laptop, so I will theoretically be able to still keep the games going, probably updating or taking my turn before I go to bed. I just will probably be a bit slower. I'll be back the 29th, then I have to get the lease signed quickly for august, and then by August things be relatively back to normal!

I asked Evelyn and she told me that it was yours. So permission to borrow your card for the time being (aka: soldier squad)?

Seeing how... cornered up we are at the moment (Talk about a rock and a hard place), I tried to think of a good strategy during my work to figure out how to get out of the predicament. I don't know if my idea is good or not, but if any of you have better strategy than mine, I'll like to hear it. Here's mine:

Since we have very little room to attack, our only strategy is to finish off the lance soldier as well as attacking the bow knights since the bow knights are the most threat compare to the rest of group. Not to mention, we have that troubadour that will heal anyone who's injured. Of course, to attack the bow knight, it means that we will likely be in the Dark Mage's range to attack. So I came up with this strategy. We may going to take some hits, but hopefully we can take down one unit.

Vika: Attacking one of the bow knights.
Isa: Res Rally Mihira and canto to Shinon.
Seth: Either Pavise or attack the lance soldier (Most likely attacking)
Mihira: Attacking the same bow knights that Vika attacks.
Abel: Attack the lance soldier.
Kira: Attack the lance soldier.
Evelyn: Heal Abel.
Ziaram: Either attack the lance soldier in case he survives, pass a turn, or falls back.
Shinon: Use Elixir to be the bow knights' pincushion.

Reason why Vika should attack the bow knights is as I stated before they are a threat since they can attack anyone from afar as well as cantoing out. Not to mention, the space is pretty full up and I need a space to get over to Mihira to rally her.

As for why Mihira should attack the bow knights instead of the lance soldier is this: we need to damage the bow knights so that way the Troubadour will have to decide which unit to heal (in case the lance soldier survives from all four attacks) as well as how they are the most thread at the moment. But in addition, it's also based by her stat. With Isa using Res Rally on her as well as Vika being in the same spot as her, it's likely that she can tank the Dark Mage's attack (if I can get a high number to Res Rally her) during the enemy's attack.

And while Abel is in badly need of healing, I think it's best for Abel to attack than him to fall back and heal since Abel can use Wrath to deal some damage against the lance soldier.

As for Shinon, he has an Elixir to fully heal up. So it makes sense to have Evelyn heal Abel instead of Shinon. And even though the bow knights will attack him, I hoping that with Isadora in the same space as him will lessen the blow with her skill Shelter to activate.

So what do you think?

Kira would kill the Soldier in one round as she would double attacks him. So you don't need anyone else waste an attack on him if you want him to be her mark. She can also one shot any of the mounted knight with her fire tome. The way I see it, there are two ways to utilize Kira's firepower.

Have Kira kill the Soldier so everyone else can focus on other targets. He is already in her range so I wouldn't even have to worry about her rolling enough movement.

Or, have Kira kill the bow knight, but in that case someone would need to clear a space for her on space 93 and she would probably need to be rescued afterwards to avoid being killed by the remaining knights.

Alternatively: Mihira trades the anti-bow thing to Ziaram, Isa rally res's Ziaram instead, cause he has the higher def and all to resist strikes and so even if bow-knight tries to target the flier (should Shinon not be a freaking sponge, because, dude, If we're trying to take down as many as we can this round, there is no time for Shinon to heal if we're gonna try going major offensive.)

But also, tbh, I am all for taking the 3rd option not mentioned here. Which is:

BACK THE ******** UP SOME SPACES AND MAKE THEM COME TO US. We are literally not in a good spot, to be precise, we're in one of the worst ******** spots to be in since the enemies are so close by, we can easily get overrun. I say we take this chance to pull back, lick our wounds, and prepare a better defense.

For this, again, we pull back.

Vika should pull back towards the fort on 71 or behind it on 63. Isadora doesn't need to rally res this turn, but attack (if she chooses, but you should probably hopefully roll movement high so you can canto out of there) otherwise, trade your vulnerary to Abel and pull back to the fort or as close as you can get. Seth literally has a javelin, he should try to hit one of the further distanced enemies, preferably the bow knight as mentioned and then canto back towards the fort, or he can alternatively heal himself a little to prepare for the next wave, or simply move back and activate pavise and hope he gets a high enough roll to negate most damage. Mihira should try to pull back to the same spot as Vika. Evelyn should also move back, I know she's our healer but right now, surviving this is more important. Abel should back the eff up since he's in critical unless he wants to do a one-last stand type thing with wrath and take someone down hopefully but, I don't really want to see that happen so if Isadora does the trade vulnerary thing. Abel can heal at least a little and maybe it'll be enough to keep him standing a bit longer. Kira should blast the lance soldier, and Ziaram should grab/rescue her and hightail it back towards the fort or the spot with Vika and/or Mihira and Shinon pulls back and heals up to full via elixir.

At least with this order, minimal casualty will happen even if there is a possibility of one or two of us going down as opposed to, like, half of us. Because attacking full on right now is pretty much suicide.
