Luckily, the Sand Attack only hit Embitter's arms. She lowered them after Tsuki said "Use Protect." The Yamask nodded, forming a dark purple shield over her. Well, what was her trainer planning anyways? Either he was very stupid or he was being clever. By her expression you could see she thought it was the former.
Tsuki saw the other new student, both being at the entrance of the town. "Hey!" he called out, staying focused on his battle. Might as well be polite, right?

( 14 - 12 ) + ( 9 - 12 ) = -1, No damage.Seeing the water rush at him, Carmine dug his left heel into the ground, swinging his right foot at the Water Gun. It would disperse and fall without leaving a scratch on him, and though Woozy had done nothing to him he had done nothing to the water type as well. A fair trade, while it slightly irked Carmine he'd let it slide - there would be more opportunities for him to strike.
The dual type restrained himself, dashing back to get some space between him and the Wooper as he took on a defensive stance now. It was only the beginning, and this opponent was strange to him, neither he nor his trainer was foolish enough to rush in without knowing what he had to hold. It was a simple enough looking pokemon but it could hold a few surprises for them if they weren't careful. No, the two would bide their time for now - they weren't in any particular rush to get this over with (though it would be nice to get some sleep) and it was only just the beginning of this match.

Having the attack knocked away ...Mix would smirk dangerously.
"We aren't done yet, Woozy, use ....Whirlpool."
One watery attacked failed and would be quickly followed up by another as this time the Wooper would draw his head backwards. His eyes towards the sky with his maw open wide as the twister of water would form there ....growing bigger and bigger before he would snap his head downwards to send it rushing after the Scraggy in front of him.
No, they were going all out ....as people whom were in the stadium found themselves flatten themselves against he wall as the attack was launched.

The Skarmory saw an opening and had every plan of taking advantage of it ...as he would streak forward with his beak twirling lightly. Wings out ...he would come at his opponent with a Drill peck as a counter attack to that protect.
No, he wasn't going to give him any space ...not one little bit ....as it seemed that the trainer had managed to get himself distracted by the entrance of another trainer.

Tsuki turned back to the bird and smiled. Check and mate. Seeing the shield hold true, Tsuki called out "Great job Embitter. Now, use Disable!" Embitter cackled as she nodded. Waving her hands she began to send some kind of wave. It'd give a slight form of amnesia and make the opponent order the last move it used!

Carmine and Ada jumped to the side at the same time, almost synchronized, the Whirlpool going past him and her and hitting the wall instead of its target. "Don't lose your opening" was all Ada would say, the Scraggy dashing forwards at the Wooper once more. He hated to admit it but he was a one trick pony - only one move he could use well enough to hurt people and it was all he would use now. But it had worked so far, and if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Skidding as he had before, he looked like he was about to crash into the wooper, his foot pulled back and ready to swipe in front of him with another Low Kick! All the while Ada glared, they had an audience and he was repeating his performance. As a performer, she could not let this slide by - to captivate an audience you had to show fresh, new things. The same trick over and over would lose their attention.

Though this time ...it wouldn't work as the Skarmory narrowed his eyes. A battle of will ....yours against steel would never be ...in the favor of the creature of flesh. His feathers would twist lightly as he wave off the disable as though it was nothing before he would step forward with an eye for attacking.
This battle hadn't been going his way so far, but that was about to change.

Mix would call out suddenly as that kick came at the Wooper. The pokemon would give the biggest grin imaginable before rushing forward ...as it stop only inches from the face of the Scraggy ...a smile was on his face ...as the Wooper lean forward and seemed to give a kiss.
It was his counter-attack ...as a water spew from his puckered lips as he tries to blow his opponent away with the water gun attack.

Well that failed. Oh well, there'd be another opening and the Skarmory had to attack at some point. But at least that drill move wasn't super effective, right? That battle was far from over and the bird had better learn that. "Ok, defend now." Tsuki said. Emitter complied, raising her arms to defend herself. The bird had brute strength but Embittered had defense and a disabling move. Time to see which was better.

Once more the Skarmory would strike the earth with one wing ....he would send out a pillar of sand at his opponent as he would caw lightly. This attack would blind ...if his opponent didn't have enough sense to avoid the attack. His wings would stay spread as his eyes looked for an opening ...a weakness to take advantage of.

The sand didn't even make it near Embitter. She smiled. This was what the Skarmory had been offering as a fight? Throwing sand at your opponent? Well, his childish personality would bite him in the rear later. She put up a protect shield, sly smile still written on her face.

He smiled then ....as he saw that she had tried to throw up that weak barrier again as his beak would start to twirl in an matter that could only be called insane as his body would follow as he pushes off on foot as he aimed his attack at the heart of the ghost type ...it's mask.
A smirk was on his face ...yes he would make her pay for that smile.
The pokemon would counter-attack ...a very risky matter indeed.

The Skarmory would face plant into the Protect shield. Embitter made a wider grin at the sight. Tsuki remembered the Burmy they had met before. And in that battle he learned something: counter twice and you hurt yourself. That was how Infinem fainted after all. Well if the bird wished to attack after the burning sensation his Mankey felt then by all means. She raised her defense in wait.

The Skarmory would back up slowly. His face hurting a bit ...as he backed away from the barrier slowly ...it had hurt ...quite a bit to hit protect, but his own steely hide act as a better protect than anything ...as he kept his wings spread wide.
His eyes narrowed as he would Drill peck again. He was going to break through that pokemon's barrier ...at least eventually. That was the plan in mind ...as he struck straight and true.
