Flint smiled. Glad he could continue being unhelpful. He stretched and pushed away from the desk, "Theeee most expensive place you can take me where they won't mind that I look like this?"
His lack of a real shirt would probably make that difficult, but if this doctor was as strange as he was mysterious, Flint was sure the older man could find somewhere to take him.

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."" ... Why don't we just eat at my place?" he asked, starting for the door. He held it open long enough for Flint to walk out, letting it close and lock behind him. He was walking towards the doctor's locker room, stepping at a lively pace and looking back at Flint every now and then. " I'm going to get changed. Do you want to wait out here?" "... for a man without any morals." ........................................ ........................................

"Awww, ya don't have to get all prettied up for me," Flint teased playfully but waited where Grant asked him to. As the older man changed, Flint called through the door, "So. Ya know how to cook or are you just gonna order in because ya don't wanna be seen in public with me?"
He smirked to himself, but inside he wondered if that might have really been the case.

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."" I know how to cook," he chuckled, hanging up his coat and pulling out his suit jacket. Elliot tucked in his personal effects, then walked out of the locker room and adjusted his tie. " Come on. We can stop by the market and pick up ingredients. Anything you want to eat in particular?" "Ooh. Very nice. Always wanted to learn how to cook... never had a kitchen to practice in," Flint commented nonchalantly. He pondered on his possible choices and shrugged, "I'm easy to please when it comes to food. I'll basically eat anything since dinner's not always guaranteed." He threw out this... odd by anyone's standard factoid as if they were talking about the weather.
"Whatever ya make, I'm sure I'll like it."

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."" Wait, wait, what do you mean, dinner's not always guaranteed?" Elliot stopped them just after getting outside, his hand in his pocket and gripping his keys. " Flint... You aren't... homeless, are you?" "... for a man without any morals." ........................................ ........................................

"Huh? OH. Yep," the youth shrugged, "Thought ya knew. What with not putting down an address or anything on my intake forms."
He shrugged and kept walking into the cool night air, "Been homeless since I left the orphanage. Stay at friend's houses sometimes, but mostly just find wherever I can bunk. I currently have my stuff stashed in a small cave in the nearby park real nice! Not too many people bother me there since packs a dogs were... rumored to stay in there."
Flint smiled wickedly and turns to look at Grant, "I started that one. Got that nice old cave all to myself!"
It seemed like he could go on and on just... like speaking of his 'living situation' like it's all sunshine and rainbows.

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."With a sigh and a shake of his head, Elliot followed close after and led the boy to his car, a shiny black Mercedes-Benz, and held open the passenger door. " Flint, I'm not sure that's something to be so happy about," he said, shutting the door after Flint was in and walking to his side. He got in, buckled up and started the car, pulling out of the space and starting out of the lot. " Now then, let's drop by the market for a few minutes to pick up some supplies. I think I'll just make some ziti. Sound alright?" "... for a man without any morals." ........................................ ........................................

The boy just shrugged, "That's life, man. Some people got houses, some people done. I could have an apartment if I wanted, but... I dunno. I like the freedom of not having to worry about bills and the ability to pick up and just... go. Disappear."
Flint knew he was romanticizing an epidemic that was hurting millions of people all around the world, but it worked for him, "I can get work wherever I want by playing my guitar, I have a bank account with an okay amount of money, and I usually have a roof over my head. And when I don't? I let the stars help me fall asleep."
"Ziti? That some kinda pasta, right? Should be yummy," he leaned the chair back a bit and got comfy in the luxury car.

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."" Still don't really like the idea of you sleeping out there, completely vulnerable to the elements," he murmured, turning the corner. " Anyway, yeah, it is. It's basically lasagna with penne. I rather like it. Don't know if you will." He drove further down, glancing over to Flint. " Hey... Sleep at my apartment tonight. I won't try anything, I promise. I just don't want you to be out tonight. It's supposed to storm." "... for a man without any morals." ........................................ ........................................

Flint frowned. This always happened. Anytime it got out about his very... unique living situation, the offers to stay the night start rolling in. It was... tiresome at best.
The frown didn't go away, "Naa, I think dinner'll do and then head home, thanks. I wanna get back to check on my things. Rain nor storms scare me much, and the caves on a hill so it stays dry in bad weather."
He looked away, the trees and lamposts flickered in and out of vision and he felt his mood start to dampen with the weather. He was trying to be nice to this man since he seemed so interesting, but the urge to bolt was rising.

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."" Fine, but if you somehow get sick, I'll only laugh at you and toss you random pills that are either expired or completely unknown to me," he replied, risking a roll of the eyes as he drove. " That reminds me. Dr. Matthews wants you back at the hospital at 11 AM sharp tomorrow. Something about having a few last-minute tests to run. I don't have work tomorrow, so you'll have to fend for yourself." He finally pulled into a tiny store's parking lot, stopping the car. " Come on." "Tch, the whole point of my visit to your hospital today was because I never get sick, 'member?" he asked with an expected eyeroll. "Oh? More. Jeez. If I'd known it would be so bothersome, I wouldn't have agreed to this," Flint complained as he exited the car.
"Alright, alright," he followed behind Grant watching the older man shop.

"A doctor is the perfect cover..."" Aaaand that's why I said somehow." Elliot collected the ingredients relatively quickly, finished within ten or so minutes. He handed the grocery bag to Flint, paying with cash before starting back to the car. " Don't worry, you'll survive these tests. I remember when I had to undergo them a few years ago. It's not too terrible once you get to the second day. Why don't you let me give you something to look forward to?" "... for a man without any morals." ........................................ ........................................

"Oh, somehow right. Thanks for the clarification, Doc. I haven't heard anything like that in my six years of being homeless," more eyerolling came from the youth, but he was relatively quiet as the shopped. Most of the ingredients were higher end stuff that he could barely pronounce, but if the good doctor could really cook, then it'd be worth it Flint hypothesized.
He tilted his head at the doctor's comment about his own tests. "Ya got tested for your whole probably some kinda immortal thing since ya barely look 30 but are over 50?" Flint helpfully reminded the much, much older man. "What is up with that?" he queried the Doctor as they headed back to the car, "Sorry, I guess I shoulda asked earlier but the boner I was rockin' made it hard to think critically."
An aghast mother covered the ears of her cherubic daughter as the two men passed in the parking lot. Flint just grinned a wide grin and winked at the girl who was blushing out of confusion.
