Earendil grinned at Lin and Miyuki. "Strong legs," he chuckled. "Just you wait, she'll be walking before you realize it."

He watched Miyuki, his eyes proud as she stood up.

Ulani smiled warmly at Earendil. She could see his thoughts, and she hoped that he would allow himself some peace.

"So how long are you going to be staying here before moving on?" she asked, standing up to collect the plates again.

Earendil looked at Lin for an answer. He wasn't sure what she was thinking ...

Lin realized she hadn't been paying attention to the time at all forcing her to glance out the window. Not to mention they had been talking for a long time already.

"Probably we should be going soon, it would be nice to at least visit Celebor's family before the day is over, and maybe drop by Aliya's..."

"You should also make sure to see Adanedhel and his family," Ulani smiled. "I'm sure Adanedhel would be happy to see you. It's been forever since you've been to see him, especially if you haven't even met Ecthelion."

"If no one answers the door at Aliya's house, try the river out back," Ulrich told them. "River was going to visit them today for some swimming, I think, and she's not allowed to swim without adult supervision."

"Oh yea... Naida wanted to swim with River yesterday," Lin murmured.

That was probably going to be interesting, though Ulani had a good point she hadn't seen Adanedhel in a long time.

"And we'll try to visit Adanedhel as well."

It might take a while though... so many people...

"Perhaps if Aliya has extra company already, we should start with visiting the others," Earendil suggested. "I mean, we don't want intrude ..."

"It's up to you two, really," Ulrich replied. "I'm sure Aliya wouldn't mind more visitors. Though if you wait a bit longer to see her at least, her husband might be back from the ranch."

Lin nodded at this, she had thought as much, so they should visit a different place for now.

"Let's head over to Celebor's place then," Lin murmured knowing that it had been a very long time since Earendil had seen Celebor.

And Earendil hadn't met the other children.

Earendil smiled and stood up. "Thank you for the pie, Ulani," he said warmly. "And for the visit. It was very pleasant." Especially as opposed to the day before.

"Wonderful to have you," Ulrich replied, rising and shaking Earendil's hand warmly. "Good to have a proper visit."

"Yes," Ulani agreed. "Do come again."

"Come here you," Lin grinned as she picked up Miyuki once more, "We'll hopefully see you both later."

Or at least before they had to leave again.

Miyuki giggled and babbled a bit knowing that they were going. She turned her head curiously to see where she was going to be taken next.

"See you later," Ulrich waved as they left.

Earendil followed behind Lin as they headed out. "So ... that place over there, right?" he asked, pointing to the large house across the clearing.

It was probably one of the largest houses there, of course with up to six people who had once lived in there it wasn't a surprise.

"That one," Lin nodded as she began walking, "Hopefully someone is home."

Hopefully one of the kids, though they weren't kids anymore.

"Do you have any idea what they all do to occupy themselves?" Earendil asked curiously as they approached. "I mean ... I know Celebor used to go with on the hunts for the slavers, but with that being done now ..."

It seemed a quaint little house, neatly painted, with flowers and bushes framing the porch. Ivy grew up the walls, giving it an older appearance.

"No clue..." Lin admitted, "I know Ruque is interested in medicine.. healing using plants and without using magic. Aras and Kanis I'm not sure what they do now... or what Celebor has been up to these days."

Of course for all she knew they could just simply be living their lives, survive off the land and help out where they could.

"I guess we'll find out," Earendil smiled. "I'm looking forward to seeing him again. And Aras. And meeting the rest of them."

He scratched his head thoughtfully. "But tell me ... what's the deal with Ruran? Everyone seems to have such a negative attitude about him ..."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 1:12 pm

Lin sighed a bit, how was she going to explain the oddity that was Ruran, "Honestly... I don't know. All I know is that when he first came here, he was quick to start fights, he had issues with females and hybrids and pretty much was a jerk. A very vicious one."

Though apparently he had mellowed a bit, so hopefully if they did meet him he wouldn't give them trouble. Lin could still remember the grief he gave Aras over her wolf-boy friend, and that was just an animal person. She looked at Miyuki who was looking around her like it was new and shiny.

"And that was when he was a kid, from the sounds of it those habits of his was hard to break him of."

"It sounds to me like it's less of habits, and more of attitude or personality," Earendil frowned. "Perhaps his time here has been an eye opener for him."

He stepped up onto the front porch and knocked. "The other children are fine, though?"
