"Ooh!" Ari said, waving her hand, "Play 'Ophelia' by Natalie Merchant, please!" Ari asked, smiling. She loved Natalie. She could actually sing along to that one. Ari also smirked at the lyrics. She wondered if Musica would get her intended pun, and what he would think of it.

Musica faintly recognized that song and tapped his foot slowly to begin the beat. He knew the song didn't have much guitar, so he'd substitute for the main instrument. He started slowly strumming and picking, mouthing some of the words he knew. "Do you wish to sing Miss Ari?" He said as he continued to strum with his eyes closed, feeling the intonations of the guitar and feeling the waves.

Ari laughed. "Suuure..." she drawled, sitting up straight and scrunching up her face in concentration. "Ophelia was a bride of God, a novice Carmelite! In sister cells, the cloister bells tolled on her wedding night. Ophelia was the rebel girl! A blue stocking suffragette! Who remedied society between her cigarettes...
And Ophelia was the sweetheart to a nation overnight. Curvaceous thighs, vivacious eyes, Love was at first sight... Love was at first sight... Love..." Ari said, tapping her hand along with the music from Musica's guitar. "That's a lovely sounding instrument, Herr Musica," she complimented, "... either that or you just play beautifully!"

Musica smiled and looked at his old guitar, which was almost half the age of him. Sure he kept it up to date in repairs and appearance, but still the history of it went way back to the beginning of Musica. After Nikolaus Brandt. "Thank you, I've been playing this guitar for a very long time, so it could be either one. I've learned how to play many songs in my spare time over the years. And all the people at the coffee shop love when I come from behind the counter and play for about an hour. It's a really great time." Then he began strumming and picking to a tune that is one of his favorites, and features guitar much more. The sound from the instrument grew and soon his lips formed the words to which he began to sing. It was an old favorite, gotten him through some lonely nights on the road.
"Sitting by a fire On a lonely night Hanging over from another good time With another girl... Little dirty girl You should listen to this story of a life
You're my heroine- In this moment I'm lonely fullfilling my darkest dreams All these drugs, all these women I'm never forgiving... this broken heart of mine"
He seemed to almost drift away with each word, reminding him of a time of happiness. Happiness in his time of being a child and a teenager. Before he was Nikolaus Brandt the Demigod son of Baldr, when he was Nikolaus Brandt the son of Maddie Brandt and the step son of Gabriel Brandt.

Ari liked the song he was playing, but she began another verse of another of her favorites. "Very nice! Have you heard this one?" she challenged. Ari then began to sing again.
"Something causing fear to fly Rising like a dark night In silence Traveling like a broken boat Heading for the sky And I'm an island
I watched you disappear into the clouds Swept away into another town
The world carries on without you But nothing remains the same I'll be lost without you Until the last of days!"

Musica shook his head, he wasn't much into the softer vocal songs though he did like a few. "Why don't you try this one m'dear?" He said as he briskly began to play the song, swaying back and forth to the lovely tune.
"Leaning on a tree trunk Thinking all the same junk Falling in and out of a dream Back and forth I'm swaying I'm contemplating staying Laying and decaying When I know I must leave Where do I aim when I shoot the breeze? How do I calm myself at times like these?
I need a simple kind of lovely And the thought is just a novelty"

"Fair enough," she said, shrugging. "You have to have heard of this!" she exclaimed, pretending to play an air guitar solo.
"Show me how to lie You’re getting better all the time And turning all against the one Is an art that’s hard to teach Another clever word Sets off an unsuspecting herd And as you get back into line A mob jumps to their feet
Now dance, kid, dance Man, he never had a chance And no one even knew It was really only you
And now you steal away Take him out today Nice work you did You’re gonna go far, kid!"
She ended with a spectacular slide on her knees, laughing.

"Your correct I've had to, because I have. Don't worry I'm not one of those guys who is against girls using language, no need to censor true lyrics." He then proceeded to finish off the rest of the song, getting really into it and jumping off the couch. After finishing off on a brilliant solo, he placed the guitar down and sat back down. "I think my hand needs a rest now, usually I don't play the guitar straight that much. Usually switch around with instruments and get the regular band members to play something else."

"... so you mean to say I was singing with a professional?" she asked, collapsing next to him in a heap of laughter. "I haven't sang that much in public since freshman year! You're fun!" she said, poking him in the side.

"Haha, well thank you, I'm glad you think I am. And no I'm not a professional, I was referring to the band that plays at the shop. They're a rowdy bunch but they get the job done." He said chuckling at her poke, half tempted to tickle her back. His well maneuvered hand worked its way over and started tickling her on the sides and stomach. Perhaps he was wholly tempted anyway.

Ari loosed a muffled yelp as he went for her sides. She was extremely ticklish. Her legs began to flail as she struggled for breath. ”M-mercy! Mercy! Uncle!” she squealed between bouts of laughter. She flung her arm out to try to tickle him back. Was he even ticklish?

Musica did have his own secret ticklish spots, besides the obvious. Mainly around his neck and under his thighs, but would her petite size make it that far? He continued laughing, enjoying this controlling but innocent fun. "What's that? Mercy you say? Hmm, let me think that over a moment...." He spoke laughingly as he continued tickling her, unrelenting was he in such a sport.
