[Shade : Land of Dragons : Bamboo Thicket -> Field near Forbidden City]

Shade listened to the strange woman with her back turned, tending to the injury on Fang's eye. From what she could tell it'd leave a mark, but he'd be fine.

After the woman left, Shade looked over her shoulders in the direction the woman had went. Then ninja glanced at her faithful companion for a moment before she stood and followed after the woman. Shade wanted to know more.

"Wait," Shade called out after she cleared the thicket with Fang following shortly behind, "I'll go with you." She paused a moment narrowing her eyes on the woman, "Just understand two things. I have no intention of joining your group or becoming your Pet."

~Window~

[Traverse Town::Merlin's House]

Window could sense that their respite in Merlin's home was nearing an end, but he couldn't help one or two final questions. "The heart of a world? What is it, and is it...distinguishable from other elements on a world?" And this Keyblade...what was that? An oversized key? It was a slightly laughable idea.

It almost seemed as if Nalo could read Window's mind. He was about to suggest using some sort of transportation to travel the worlds, looking for his home, but the Viera brought it up before he could say anything. It seemed decided, then--Window was going to look for his home. So what if they made a few detours to other places first? He wanted to know more about life out there, and he was becoming increasingly interested in the phenomenon called Heartless.

Turning to Nalo, but also angling himself so as to address the rest of the group, Window said, "But, if I may make a humble suggestion, as you and I are looking for my world, could we not also help out some of the other worlds we encounter? Or at least gather some kind of assessment about the state of a sampling of worlds, and note it down for you? It seems like information and rumor are interchangeable, and nothing is quite definite. I think that we could help you.

"And, if you don't mind, Nalo, I also extend this invitation to the others in this room. To you all--this is a chance to see what it is like out there, to save others who are also in trouble, to grow in mind and power, or to take revenge. I do not know what reason you may have, but if you choose, you may use it and accompany us. I am not promising anything except for companionship, so you are free to come and go as you please, but you will have friends among us in a universe where everything seems to be taken away. But let us embark soon; there is nothing to be gained by tarrying here for long."

As Nalo rested his head on Window's shoulder, the human peered over at the newcomer in a wheeled contraption. How very odd. I wonder what happened to his legs? Window put his hands gently on Nalo's shoulders, maneuvering him out of the way so he could stand and greet the wheeled man. "My apologies. I was rather engaged in a discussion with Miss Aerith here when you entered. My name is Window. What a fortunate twist of fate that has led to our meeting here, Byoki."

Tsurumi

I'd prefer if you were to just...

...disappear

{Land of Dragons ~ Field near Forbidden City}

Sighing a little, Tsurumi looked back at Shade. The man really needed to know how to decide things. One minute he didn't want to be her pet, the next he wanted to. As far as Tsurumi was concerned, he was her pet. He just didn't know it yet. But after a bit of training he would most certainly bow down to her.

"So...you want to come with us back to our headquarters, but you don't desire to join us, nor become my pet. You're a rather silly man. Well, regardless, I'll leave it up to my senior in the Conclave." Turning to Revelin, she put her hands on her hips and asked, "Revelin dear, I leave it up to you. Do we bring her with us or not?"

[[Byoki : Traverse Town : Merlin's Grotto]]

The young man in the wheelchair smiled, extending a strong handshake to the boy, "It's a pleasure to meet you. It's a surprise to find Merlin's so busy. If I'd known it was a party I would have brought something to drink for everyone." Byoki let out a heavy laugh though, in the back of his mind, he was trying to pull attention away from his legs, which he couldn't help but notice their uneasy glances at.

((PS: He doesn't HAVE the lower half of his legs. He isn't paralyzed, or have no use of his legs, he just doesn't HAVE them. XD))

[Land of Dragons : Near Forbidden City]

The masked man wasn't fazed by the actions of his comrade and took some time to deliberate on the situation. Revelin then began to speak in his masked voice, "You may bring your... thing with you. It matters not." The man opened up a dark portal that led back to the castle. "Quickly... I grow tired of this waste of time," he motioned the two towards the portal.

[Nα⌠σ - Merlin's Grotto- Traverse Town]

Nalo internally thanked Byoki for his elaboration. He was still slightly off out for the poor child's lack of legs, but he hoped it would pass. The boy was nice. And happy, and that was more than good enough for the tall vierra. He smiled and in a resonating voice, he said, "Byoki, would you be willing to help us find Window's home? I don't want to ask any more from you if you do not wish, but..." His voice trailed off. He wanted to be polite and tried to tip-toe around the danger of the situation.

Nalo felt terrible not knowing what lay ahead. He had barely managed to fight of the heartless in the Second District, let alone the maniac that blocked their path in the Third. Nalo didn't know how long it would take, but he knew one thing. He wanted to help his new friend who had so little, who was so lost. "Artemis, I thank you again for your services earlier. If you wish to continue as well...well....It would be much appreciated."

[Traverse Town :: Second District]

"Oh Moggie! There you are!" Suzu sighed in relief as she spotted the moogle... in the arms of some person. Immediately, she was on edge. Was she crying into the arms of this... guy? Did she know him? What if he wanted her... to kill her and... make her into a hat or something?

The geomancer immediately trotted up and smiled her best princess smile, "thank goodness you found Mog, she ran off so suddenly! I'm sorry to trouble you, but thank you!" Suzu said pleasantly as she plucked Moggie from the hands of the stranger. "We'll just be on our way now, we have a big journey to catch tomorrow and well, she looks beat. Thank you again!" The heiress was already in a practiced back-step, her left hand reaching out for Kuu's to help tug him along back towards the hotel.

[Moggie : Traverse Town : Second District]

Moggie let out a startled sob, when she heard the familiar voice of Suzu. Out of relief or out of dread, it was hard to tell which. Relief for having someone she knew nearby, the dread for the same exact reason, having remembered the reason she had wandered away from the group.

When Suzuran pulled her into her arms, the moogle trembled a little more. Moggie opened her dark blue eyes and looked up at the princess with tears still in her eyes.

"Ku... po..." the still terrified moogle said in a very soft whisper. She moved her lips as if she was about to say something else, but no other words came. It was only a few seconds before the moogle stopped, and hid her face into the princess's chest.

[Shade : Land of Dragons : Near the Forbidden City]

Shade's eyes narrowed on the two people. Her eyes focused on Revelin for several moments, studying him. The man had stood back during that whole fight. She could only wonder more about him. What were his intentions, he didn't seem bitter for her fighting his ally.

The ninja looked at the portal the man had opened curiously, then at him again. Shade hesitated before she started towards the portal, then went in with Fang. Her hands on her weapons in case one of them decided to attack her, in front of her or from behind.

”You can bend it and twist it… You can misuse and abuse it…
But even the gods cannot change the Truth.”

[Traverse Town ~.~ Second District ~.~ District Gates]

Everything happened so fast that Thales didn't have an opportunity to really react to anything the tiny dark haired newcomer with violet eyes did. It happened so quickly that he was stupefied and allowed the young girl to take the moogle out of his arms. All he managed to do was mutter out three words--"Uh...," "Okay...," and "You're welcome"--before she slowly backed away along with a taller gentlemen with similar features.

"Wait a minute... 'big journey'?" he thought. "Perhaps this girl knows something about the explosion Baitos mentioned he had heard earlier in the Second District. She might know of a way off this world!"

"Hey! Wait up a second!" Thales finally said, somewhat jigging over to her. He raised both his hands parallel to his shoulders to show the girl he had no intention of hurting her. "My friend and I have been searching for the source of an explosion that had happened earlier in this district. Would you happen to know anything about that?"

Xelizar had a long flight. It wasn't enough that he gummi ship was awkward and unwieldy, or that he was a less than respectable pilot. It was that he took pleasure in dancing. He had heard that one of his compatriots had been spotted here, and of course, wanted to make a spectacular entrance, right into the first district plaza. He jumped out and stretched his wings, getting a feeling for the gravity, the ambient temperature...

THE. UNSIGHTLY. BRICK. AND. STONE. COLOR.

Xelizar grimaced, still dancing. He drew a sigil in the air, his black skin leaving behind prismatic motes as his long fingers traced a circular pattern. His weapon appeared in a flash of light, circular patterns danced about him. He tipped his false key blade to the ground and from it flowed bright orange and pink and yellow, slowly dancing with him across the district. He looked back, still spinning slightly and nodded. The colors seeped into the stone as he painted, his key blade traced a line through the cobblestones like a stick through sand. As he walked, the swirling pattern continued behind him.

He traced his blade up and down the wall to a neon-illuminated shop. He light the bright piercing colors of the light, and tried to emulate it through additional colors on the wall. It took a little time, but slowly, colors creeped forth. He seemed slightly satisfied, if a little worn out. There was a lot of work to be done if this whole planet was like this. Hopefully his fellow artificer had already done some work here. He sighed and started to hum as he skipped towards the door to the second district. It seemed that nobody was out in the streets, enjoying the night. With a smile, he pressed onward, though the door.

Suzuran frowned, why was Moggie so shaken up? She couldn't have been gone that long but the moogle was shaking like a leaf. Her amethyst eyes washed over the one that had been holding Moggie before flickering momentarily to Baitos. They didn't look particularly threatening, in fact Thales seemed like he was comforting the mage.

Suzu looked to the man who spoke up and the heiress took a deep breath. She summoned her best diplomatic voice, "I believe there was a skirmish of some sort with an awry fireball as the result."

It almost pained Xelizar to see the bleak surroundings. It took, filled him with great glee. He was going to be the first to take this almost blank slate and transform it into something beautiful. It would take time, yes, but if anything lived here, then they certainly wouldn't mind. So, he started. His eyes; however, stayed glued to these pleasant people and a strange bawling, bumbling ball of fluff. It had a tail. And wings. The others wore clothes. Xelizar loved clothes. They were fun to work with, if ever so cumbersome. He could feel them staring back. He didn't care. He did desire to strike up a conversation with them though, so he slowly danced over to them, tilted his head back in a back bend and said, in a casual tone, the light from a nearby neon sight setting his onyx eyes aglow. "Hey. Why so boring? Why so dull? You leave me snoring, a sleeping bull."

As he let the last of his rhyme drip from his tongue, the artificer turned his body around to meet his head. Inspiration struck, and with a few slashes of Ars Arcana, a grin appeared across his dark face. A flash of green. He twirled the blade in his hand and and gently bopped the moogle on the head. Her white hair shone with even more brilliance, like a summer dandelion. The tips gathered a gold color. Her nose, pom-pom, and wings gradually darkened over the course of a few seconds into a royal purple color. Gold flecks slowly popped up.

"Lookie here and lookie there. I do much more than wings and hair. However, though, if you might know, of another that does the same?"

"Skirmish?" Thales thought to himself as he narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows. "Perhaps we're bitting off more than we could chew..."

Regardless of how dangerous it may be, Thales needed a way to continue his exploration. However, he wouldn't be using them as just a means to get off this world, but he would offer his services to help them throughout their journey as well. He took another step forward, raising his right hand and pointing his index finger at an angle in the air, and opened his mouth to ask for permission to join them on their journey. But before any words were able to come out, he heard an unfamiliar voice from behind him. He looked over his left shoulder and spotted a, um... a man... woman... it... dancing and bending its way over to them.

"My goodness... how does it bend that way?"

Lights flashed from the individual as it bopped the moogle on the head. Thales wasn't sure whether to look at this person as a friend or foe, but one thing was sure... he felt really awkward just being in its presence... He, too, turned around and tilted his head back, then greeted the strange character, "Hello there," Thales began. "How can we help you?"

[Moggie : Traverse Town : District Gates]

"KUPO!" Moggie called out when she felt someone tap her head. The little moogle buried her head into the safety of Suzuran's neck.

She could feel some sort of magic go over her, but didn't take notice as to what it was doing. The only thing that came to her mind was what happened the last time any magic was used on her. Though Moggie didn't see who had touched her head, just one figure came into her mind....

"Keep him away!" she said, "The cloaked man...."
