Apollo was surprised by the hug, but didn't let Endymion's ambiguous feelings for him phaze his good mood. He hugs him back, chastely of course, his voice lilting with excitement, "I know it will come now. Demeter and I have always been close and she's always held a soft spot for spring... I mean, technically, I can't make any promises... Oh, but Dymion... If I have to lay on my face and beg her to come back, I will... And she has always considered the feelings of those around her... Oh gods, Endymion.... Thank you!"

Apollo chuckles, "Yea, but she never would have kown if you hadn't gotten in touch with her... Oh Dymion..." He sighs, happily and suddenly remembers himself. His arms drop, but smile doesn't fade, "Sorry about that... I'm just..... I haven't felt this.... this good about something in a while.... It's been so long since this world has seen spring... I mean, people have to grow synthetic fruits and vegetables.... And even if this seems like it has nothing to do with your training... Damn, Endymion, how long have you been able to listen to the flowers...? Or anything for that matter?.... Do you realize how important that is.... Endymion, you can summon help from any living thing whenever you need to... A power that, up until now, only I have had.... And Dymion..." he laughs, "I'm not even good at it.... s**t, Endymion.... You never cease to amaze me, do you?"

Apollo's smile widened, his eyes swimming and gleaming even in the darkness, "Endymion... Of course, you're ready!... I mean, we'll still train to work on your reflexes and such before tomorrow, but... Endymion... You're ready, I know you are... You are a god, and a damn good one, if my opinion counts for anything...." He smiles and rubs Endymion's shoulders a bit, "Of course, you'll never quit learning about yourself... New powers may appear to you within the next months, years, even centuries... But you're as good a god as any other now, and maybe even a better god than some others.... I have no doubts that you'll pass."

Apollo didn't seem too surprised by Athena's appearance, having felt her presence a few seconds before she appeared near them. Endymion had the powers to be a good god, but the only thing that worried Apollo was if Endymion could summon his powers fast enough to pass all of Athena's tests.
He says softly, "We wanted to train more practically a bit more before the tests... Although I agree that he should get some good sleep. How long do we have?"

Apollo smiles and nods, "I'll make sure of it, but I'll leave it up to him as to whether he wants to train now and sleep later, or sleep now and train later..."
He looks to Athena, his eyes boring gently, "'Thena.... Can you help put his mind to rest, if only a little bit... He keeps asking me questions, like where this will be, what he can expect... I'm not asking you to give everything away, but maybe if he knew a little more of the basics of what a 'god's test' is comprised of, he wouldn't worry as much... His main weakness may be his lack of confidence."

Apollo smiles a small bit at Athena's description, happy to see that the test hadn't changed too much from when he was tested himself. He remembers that, being only a teenager and scared out of his wits. Zeus had tested Apollo himself and he had not been lenient. But Apollo had worked hard and passed them all, making it look effortless... but really, Apollo had exerted himself during the test.
He looks to Endymion with a smile, hoping that this information would help Endymion so that he could at least start thinking about things for the other two tests. Those were things Apollo knew that he couldn't train Endymion for.

Apollo nods, "That sounds good. Now that you know of the tests, it will be wise to meditate again... I know you will pass, Endymion, but don't let my faith in you make you foolish... These tests will probably be the hardest you've ever pushed yourself and your powers..." He smiles, trying to lighten the mood, "I slept for a day and a half after mine..."
He steps back and begins to stretch, warming his muscles up some, "This time, be aware that I'll be delving at your mind. Don't meet my eyes or else I'll enter in and immobilize you. I will take advantage of you every time you slip, but it won't be as harsh as when I first showed it to you. I just need to make sure that you are in the habit of never meeting another god's eyes in battle, ok?"

Apollo chuckles at the way Endymion was already avoiding his eyes. he wouldn't have pounced before he was done stretching, but Endymion's caution amused him. He was about to say something about it, but then let it go. he would rather have Endymion too cautious instead of not cautious enough.
He stands up straight finally and smiles, "Ok. First move is yours."
