Michael still held his pistol in his hands, his breath becoming more steady. He hadn't been ready for the Seraph. Stupid covenant and their sly technology. Well, he knew one thing. The minute they had vollunteered they were going for a wild ride.

Burning lines of plasma burst into being along the lateral lines of the Covenant super carrier, roiling with the hidden energy of the sun. Slowly, as if with the grace of a ballet dancer, the deadly energy collects to a single point, blasting forwards into space, arching towards the silent ring, leaving a corona of spare energy as it's wake.

Deep in space, the Captain of the Rose saw this happening and fired the rest of his missiles. Not at the Human or covenant ship that still lived, but at the ring, their own grav hyper drives accelerating them far faster then the chemical missiles that the humans used.

As she accelerated towards the ring, her lights and grav well announcing her pressence as the side launchers fired off four missiles each, they taking up possitions alongside the Valkyrie Rose each acting as a wingman.

Gai onboard the carrier saw the sight and whistled, amazed that she would come running in like this. He thought it fitting that he should put the song "Ride of the Valkyries" on the speakers.

The plasma hit first, spalshing down onto the surface of the nearest continent which currently had a huricane swirling on it's surface. The plasma hit dead center, causing the arms to burn red before being vaporizing. Also dead center, was where Angel Natavi died serving his world.

Then the warheads hit next, plunging themselves deep into the hell's firestorm that was the dying blows to the Halo Ring world. For bright winks of light, each only a half second apart marked their final resting place. then, almost simultaniously, for great red mushrooms bloomed from the hell that was below.

They grew larger and larger, before Gai could see the ripples in the plasma that grew and died like in a pond of water.

Another flash, this time from off the bow as the Valkyrie Rose slowed, allowing her eight missile escort blast past rocketing downwards towards the surface. Their last sight was of the stars as they too plunged headlong into the reign of horror that was once a paradise.

Then, as if watching it in slow motion rewind, their fuses detinated, drawing in mountains of gas and boiling energy. It seemed as if a drain had just been pulled on the clouds of nuclear energy that destroyed the world below, creating eight small whirlpools of flame that left behind a glittering landscape of fused glasseen, the substance left behind at ground zero.

After the atmosphere was all burned away, and the flames died, huge holes in the hull of the ring world were visable, showing stars through the twisted, mangled glowing wreck of the superstructure.

Eventually, after a few minutes of waiting, it's own rotation tore it apart, ending this world just like it did the first one. Piece, by deadly piece.
