As it happens, she would've been a pink-haired girl named Auri.

The only reason I've consistently seen that works is for some reason or another the main character is taken away from the RP, and the person needs to use another character if they are to be an active part of the guild. Are there other reasons, yes, but those need a real good reason in my book.

Your presenting some decent reasons for wanting a second character, I'm just not convinced yet. Notice that I said there are other reasons.

Nope. Still more trouble than it's worth. I'm busy enough trying to keep Shuppet in check.
Besides, I've recast Auri in a different part of my character's storyline.

I've tried to get it back but he's a crafty one. Did you know he got his hands on a copy of my [pass] stamp that I sometimes use for mission grades? I hesitate to evolve him though.
If he mellows out as a Banette, then we're all good. But if he gets worse....
