Crystal's tail swished behind her. She liked Tanya, reminded her of herself of sorts. "Well! A bother to Eye-patch, huh? I think you and I will get along swimmingly~" She grinned from ear to ear. "Although if you'd like to feel a little more at home we do have some S.H.I.E.L.D. here. I'd be glad to find out where they're basing at."
She looked over at the other two as they spoke. Then Nightshade took off his mask. "You ain't half bad lookin, Doc." She gave him a more... playful smile before looking back at Tanya.
"Though I'm perfectly willing to invite you to stay with me." She stood from the table and walked over to pat the girl on the head.
"You're not inviting someone to live with us, are you Crystal?" A slender, black cat slinked out of his hiding spot, having been taking a nap. Or trying to at least. He stretched before hopping up on Tanya's lap with a soft purr. "Hi there. I'm Artemis. Crystal's watcher."

Tanya smiled to Jinx, and shook Nightshade's hand. "Pleasure to meet'cha both properly," she said, smiling as she listened to the three and Artemis made himself known. She scratched him behind the ears, not seeming bothered by the fact that he could talk.
"Why hello there~" she said to the cat as she petted him. "I'm Tanya... Who's a pretty kitty~..." she continued, kissing the top of his head, then looked to Nightshade and Crystal.
"Thanks for the offer, Crystal, I think I'll take you up on it," she said to the catgirl, then she turned her attention to Nightshade.
"I get what you mean, Doc, I do... But I'm not helping anything here by hanging back, I don't think. So what do I do?"

  Dr. Powell chuckled lightly, as re-donned his mask and fedora, "I guess it's in our blood and what makes us different from other people -- our drive to help others. Jinx and I are about to check out the cargo ship Il Duce coming in tonight. I've traced through different shell corporations that the actual owner is Carmine Falcone. Along with 'legitimate' cargo, they're transporting a few unique projects from Japan. These 'projects' seem to be experiments by A.I.M. My sources tell me that one is a robot that can adapt to any super powered being to combat them. There are two others only described as biologic in nature. From what little I have gathered, I believe that these are two poor souls who have been experimented upon."Jinx's voice had a wary tone to it, "These A.I.M. guys sound a lot like I.O. Just another secret organization alphabet soup, yay us. We should probably smash the robot and save the peeps, at least that's my opinion."Nightshade added, "I believe that Falcone is bringing them in to hold some kind of villain auction as a personal fund raiser. So, what do you think Tanya?"

Artie purred at Tanya's petting. Till she kissed him that is. He shook his head and made a face. "Please don't kiss me. It feels weird against my fur." He seemed to grump a bit when she took Crystal's offer to stay with them. "I really don't think that's a good idea, Crystal. I already do all the shopping for the both of us and our home is located in a rather dangerous part of town."
Crystal waved off Artie's concerns. "Pish Posh, my dear Artie. There is no need to concern yourself. This young lady is an Avenger. I'm quite sure she can handle a few ruffians that pop up from around buildings in Crime Alley." She looked to Tanya and smiled. "We'll have to go and pick up some furniture for your room and clothes and other things after everything's said and done."
She looked over at Nightshade. "Wait. A robot that can adapt to superpowers? That sounds very familiar..." She rushed over to the Batwave and started typing, searching through files. After a few minutes she pulls up a file on the android Amazo. "Could it possibly be this thing? There are several versions of him. Then there's always Sentinels." She pulled up a file on them. "And something here about something called Ultron?" She pulled that one up too. "Those two seem to hail from the Marvel Earths."

Tanya listened carefully to Nightshade as she continued to pet Artemis, and looked to Crystal as she accessed the Batwave. Her expression changed as the catgirl busied herself with speculation about the robot Falcone wanted.
Amazo? She knew about him from the comics and Justice League cartoon. Depending on how intelligent this version of him was, he could hopefully be talked out of doing anything harmful. Sentinels were little more than full-on robots, incapable of truly gaining sapience, slow to move, and were not very intelligent.
But when Ultron came up, the usually-fearless young girl got a look of utter terror on her face. Ultron existed in her reality, and had been a constant threat to Earth; on more than one occasion he had come close to killing her father. Tanya had never met him personally, but she was fully aware of how dangerous he really was.
"... Uh... Okay. I-I just have one thing to say," Tanya managed to stutter. "Yeah, this is starting to look way above my level... And we should pray, pray that whatever the robot is, it turns out to not be Ultron. Ultron is a threat the Avengers often have a hard time with, let alone a ragtag group like us..."

Jinx noticed Tanya's reaction and gently tapped the other girl's shoulder, "Hey, we should be okay.... Ummm.... What the hell is an Ultron? Nightshade looked over to Crystal standing just behind her looking at the files brought up on the computer screen, "I don't suppose we have anything that can deactivate whatever robot that happens to be on that ship?"

Crystal shrugged a bit. "I've got an EMP device. Though if it's Ultron I highly doubt that would work. Like she said, pray it's not him." She looked back at the screen. "I'm also not too sure how well it would work on Amazo, seeming he has Bio-Electronic parts."
"Could always try not activating it and getting someone with shadow or Darkforce control to go with you to drop it somewhere it can be handled properly." Artie yawned. He was usually Crystal's voice of reason. He was also normally the idea guy.

Tanya whispered back to Jinx: "Ultron is an AI... As intelligent as he is evil. He wants to take over the world and either enslave humanity or exterminate them. Sometimes both..."
She looked back to Crystal. "If there's any way we could transport these things to places where they won't cause trouble, that might wind up being our best option. Ultron or Amazo, either way we'd be pretty screwed in a straight-up fight."

Jinx made a face, "Ugh, sounds like Brainiac. I'm guessing Ultron is from space too?" "Crystal, would you be a dear, and grab several EMP grenades for us. Three each," Nightshade inquired and shook his head, "I just wished I knew what the other two 'projects' that are on that ship. Since there are at least four of us now, do you think we should get at the Il Duce before she reaches harbor, or ... should we try to see who we can potentially nab at Falcone's auction?"

Crystal nodded at Tanya. "Agreed. If I remember correctly, there's a darkforce user with the X-Men at the moment. I'm not sure what he's up to right now, could ask Babs." Crystal looked over to the communicator she had heard Barbara talking to the others earlier on, wondering if she was still on the line. She looked over at Nightshade when he spoke. "Of course. The weapons locker should have some, I'm not sure how many but some. Also I think we should get it before it gets to Harbor. Just in case something activates we're more likely to stop it before it can affect the city."
She then pulled out her own phone. "I think that we could use more help though."
She dialed a number and put the phone to her ear. She smiled after a moment. "Hey there, love~ How are ya? Wanna help out on a mission? We gotta stop a boat named the 'Il Duce' before it reaches Gotham harbor."

And on the other end of the line, a smoky, raspy Cajun accent met her.
"Hey, Crys'! I'm doin' a'right . . . kinda just grabbin' a hot dog. Yeah, I can help widdat. We jus' gon' capture da ship or we talkin' some heavy artillery?" the big guy asked over the phone.

Tanya briefly shook her head to Jinx, listening as the Nightshade and Crystal spoke, then looked to the sorceress.
"No, he was created on Earth. At least my version of him was. The very moment he came online, he showed he was a psychopath. He's one of the most dangerous villains the Avengers have faced because you can destroy his bodies all you want-- and good luck with that because their armor is Adamantium-- but he'll just upload himself into another body, usually more advanced than the last. That's why I'm saying, if it is Ultron, our best bet is to teleport him somewhere safe... Like deep space, that'd keep him away for a while."
She sighed. "Guh, I really wish Uncle Tony or Billie were around, they'd probably be able to help..."

Nightshade half-chuckled, "Crystal... I use darkforce. When I came into this merged world, I found out about Xavier and went there to get help. Ended up fixing up their underground stuff, while working in the Danger Room. What did you have in mind? Oh, and tell 'Thomas Magnum' that he can meet us at the south Wharf. I'll warm up the Batboat."Jinx rolled her cat-like eyes upward and shook his head. The grey goth girl leaned in conspiratorially to Diamondback, "He's been looking for an excuse to try that thing... Okay, so if this is Ultron doing the whole 'I, Robot' thing, I'll try to hex him into a catastrophic failure. Got it. Maybe we could strap it to a 'BatRocket' and send him into the sun."

"Heavy artillery for sure. Uh... hold on." She looked over at the others.
"Hey, Tanya. Was Ultron made by Pym or Tony on your Earth?" That would actually give her a clearer idea weather she was from a newer or older Earth.
Crystal looked over at Nightshade and blushed a bit. "Oh. I didn't know what your powers were nor the name of the Darkforce user I had been told about. Sorry." She looked rather sheepish, making her look younger.
She went back to her phone call. "Nightshade said, and I quote: 'tell 'Thomas Magnum' that he can meet us at the south Wharf'. I'll see you there, hun."

"No problemo. I gotta swing by t' pick up some . . . effects. See y'all there, babe!" was the raspy Cajun's reply and hung up the phone. However, the identity of "Thomas Magnum" would be revealed over time.
