"Finally rest for my poor ears!" Kay teased, scanning the horizon as they moved along. She spotted a clump of trees off in the distance and angled their stroll toward there, knowing that trees meant water and water meant... Well, water.

Kimmi rolled her eyes as she followed along with Kay. She couldn't be sure but she thought she noticed Shadow tailing them. She tried to nonchalantly rub at her sore side.

"You know you don't have to try and hide it if it hurts." Kay stated, her eyes never leaving the horizon as she scanned it. "I believe it was you who told me that to get through this we all have to lean on each other." As they appoarched the outskirts of the treeline, Kay croached down and listened grabbing Pinky Kay pulled her down too. "Shhhh..."

"Gah" Was all that escaped Kimmi as she was yanked. Her wide eyes shot to Kay and then looked around trying to figure out what had caused this sudden man handling. Her side started burning even though the goo and she winced at the sensation.

"Stay here for a sec..." Kay whispered close to Pinky's ear before disappearing into the tree line. The cause for Kay's caution was that she had heard talking and laughter... Sure signs that someone or something was using the water. "Shadow if you're going to follow us at least go back and guard Pinky." Kay said over her shoulder to the spidercat as she climbed a tree to travel more quickly through the thicken underbrush. Moving quickly from tree top to tree top she reached the edge of the lake and jumped down, landing lightly on her feet behind a grove of tree. Sticking to the deep shadows she leaned out and spotted... A group of teen!? Kay groaned, "Great just what we were missing adolescents..." She quickly made her way back to Pinky and told her what she'd seen. Just as she caught the sense of the undead. "F**K!" Kay took off into the trees, swords drawn. Leaping out and over the lake she took out the first of the undead. "Pinky get the kids back to camp. Load the guns..." Kay swung and took out a horde of charging undead. "And set a perimeter around the camp..." Kay dodged and leaped into the mist of a second horde of undead, her blade slicing down through the air.

"Don't just stand there, you heard her. Move your butts!!" She yelled at the group. "Shadow give them some motivation to keep moving ne?" She ran behind them and skidded into camp. "DEAD HEADS!" She yelled as the gunners immediately took to the guns and created a parameter to protect the other survivors. Leaving the teens to someone else she absently rubbed her side as she ran for the children. She loaded them all onto the most armored truck and counted. She froze, her eyes wide. "Gracie? Where is Gracie?" One of the older boys pointed towards a little figure that was making her way out of the camp. "She said her arm felt funny and then her eyes looked all weird and she just stated walking." Horrified Kimmi slammed to door and grabbed Sarg., shoving him towards the truck with the children.
She didn't wait for anyone to try and stop her, she shoved past Khana ignoring the girls yell. "Gracie!" She yelled as she caught up to the young girl. "Gracie! What are you doing!?" She grabbed her and turned her to look at her. "Gracie? Can you hear me?" The girl looked dazed or drugged and she was clutching her arm where she had been bitten. At the reminder Kimmi suddenly noticed how much her own bite mark burned, and the weird buzzing at the back of her mind she had been too panicked to notice before. "Gracie we have to go back dead heads are coming and we don't want to-" She stopped when Gracie pointed over her shoulder. She turned quickly. "For Kami's sake! What the hell are you doing here? I thought you took off like a coward to hide in the facility." She practically snarled as she placed herself between Fillup's brother and Gracie.

Something was wrong... The undeads weren't fighting... Kay slashed up and twirled. It was as if they were just passing threw... As if something was drawing them in... She turned and blocked a blow to her back with one sword while she sliced off the head of the one in front of them. Kay spotted one of the teen girls just frozen there. "Great..." Kay switched out her twin swords for her broad sword and wiped out the nearest horde. Leaping back over the water she snatched up the teenager and dashed back to camp, practically throwing the gilr into the protective cirle she spun on the balls on her feet... To spot an undead talking to Pinky. "Not again..." Kay appeared behind the undead with the blade of her sword under its chin. "I wouldn't advise moving. I'm alittle ansy about letting undead walk around."

The zombie moved anyway, dodging backwards and laughing like a maniac "Oh come on! I appear and you think I'm going to do something bad? Isn't that what's going on here? A horde of idiots is making a play and you guys are thinking 'Hey, a smart one, get him!" he smiled widely, laughing as he backed up a little more. He wiggled a finger at the three, as if he was telling them 'no no' in a childish way. He was about to say something, when there was a loud bang. A hole appeared in his forehead, blood blossoming forward and splatering the ground between the zombie and the other three. He fell forward, landing with a dull thud.
Fillup stood behind him, a smoking gun in hand. He stared at the body, sadly seeing his brother from years ago, and then the thing on the ground "See you later Sebastian..." he mumbled.
Shadow growled and paced in front of the line of gunners, who'd set up a picket inbetween the large rocks at the lip of the canyon. The trees were just visible, the zombies seeming to start toaimlessly trudge about. They looked as if they lost the purpose they'd previously had in their long dead minds.

Gracie screamed and Kimmi whirled her around and buried the little girls head in her shoulder. "Fillup." Kimmi's face was remorseful. "I'm sorry Fillup, I was going to kill him before you knew he was here." She shushed Gracie and rocked her.

"Weird" muttered, Zack as he aimed his rifle at the wnadering zombies. "They seem to be drawn to something" he muttered to himself. He saw Fillup kill his brother, and he muttered a soft prayer. "To those who lost there way, find a place of peace in death." he whispered, waiting for the zombies to make a threatining move.

Fillup smiled wryly "Well, I kinda guessed he'd be hanging around after the little incident in the city..." he said, looking at his gun again "A shame..." he muttered, taking out the rest of the bullets he'd removed from the clip and replacing them in it.
He slammed the clip in, an emotionless mask on his face "We have a few visitors, correct?" he asked, walking past Kimmi and Kay, glancing at Gracie momentarily. He tried to smile at her, but couldn't manage it.

"Fillup." Kimmi pushed Gracie to Kay and went after him. "Nothing the gunners can't handle." She said catching up to him and pulling him aside. "Fillup why was there only one bullet in your gun."

"Come on Grace. We have a new bunch to welcome." Kay said sterring the child towad the newbies as Pinky attacked Bubbles. Kay was almost instantly mobbed by the new comers. "Oh My God! That was totally amazing! You like totally kicked undead butt!" Kay groaned... God it was going to be a long night.

Fillup shrugged and pulled out a piece of gum, sticking it in his mouth and chewing absently "I..I don't know...." he said, holstering his pistol and slinging his 12-gauge off of his back. He looked down at Kimmi "I really don't know...." he said again, watching her.
Shadow trotted up, purring when he saw Kay "Fight now?" he asked, bumping Kay's leg with his side. He looked around at the teenagers, smelling their unwashed bodies and raging hormones "Who they?" he added.

[[you know what.... everyone else is bringing back peoples they thought were dead as smart zombies, so I think I'll join the party twisted might be a bit interesting how i have it planned ninja perhaps I'll make it interesting enough that the idea won't get so old, eh? cool ]]
Khana had immediately started running when the call for dead heads had gone up. She barely took notice of Kimmi when she ran past her.
She had taken out a score of the undead herself, but she had to admit, Kay had taken most of them out by the time she'd gotten there. She didn't have much time to sulk though, no, something else had caught her attention. Something much more significant. She had seen- seen something impossible it must have been her imagination... but was it?
Seemingly mesmerized, Khana was lead away from the camp area or the woods to which she had been in between.
It can't be him, it just can't be...
