Miharu didn't exactly run across town in order to visit the tower, but her pace was fairly steady. After all, she didn't really have anything better to do right now. The tower rose up out of the city in an almost menacing manner, and Miharu found herself approaching in an apprehensive manner. A sign posted nearby told her that this was the Tin Tower, erected after the other tower had burned to the ground. For a moment Miharu considered visiting the remains of the Burned Tower but decided against it. She gazed up at the Tin Tower intently, wondering what it was for. She took a step forward, preparing herself to enter, when she heard the sound of someone whizzing by on a bicycle pass her by. Naturally, she turned to look, her eyes widening as she realized the bike looked oddly familiar. It took a moment or two to clue in but finally Miharu realized what was happening. "HEY!" she practically screamed, "THAT'S MY BIKE!"
The kid riding said bike just tossed a glance over her shoulder and sneered at Miharu. "Finders-keepers, Loser!" she laughed, long, red hair streaming out behind her. She wore a pair of rough blue jeans and a grey tee shirt, and Miharu realized it would be easy to point this kid out in a crowd.
Without even thinking she yanked Aska's Pokeball from her belt and hurled it. "Don't let that girl out of your sights!" she shouted up at the bird, who gave an affirmative screech before soaring off ahead, her keen eyes trained on the bicycle thief. Miharu sighed. Evidently the only folks awake at this time of the day were early risers such as herself and bicycle thieves.

After recovering his two Pokemon from the Center, the pair made the brief trek to the Summers' residence. The usual Lavaridge air swirled overhead, churning the very clouds above, as Mike held onto Flannery's hand with a sort of paranoid grip each time the wind flared up; like the two mile an' hour gust would sweep her away, never to be seen again. The utter ridiculousness of that notion set in, and the boy loosened his grip, flashing a somewhat embarrassed smile to himself as they continued on.
They reached Keegan's house rather quietly and sat down at the table after exchanging the usual greetings and releasing his Pokemon outside for exercise and a meal. Mike snagged a burger he assumed was meant for him and threw a little bit of various vegetables and potatoes on his plate and sat down. Looking down at his rather bare plate, he noticed that he never really ate much. "Hm."
The usual broken table chatter followed as Mike nibbled his food, his gaze distant and distracted. The usual 'how you been' and 'what's new' questions were flung around by Keegan's parents, mostly Mrs. Summers. The food was good as usual, Mrs. Summers had always dedicated herself to being an old fashioned housewife. It was something particularly alien to him, as his mom was anything but old fashioned. Not forgetting his manners, Mike helped in clean up, having to weave in between the rather abundant mass of people heading towards the sink at one time. As he placed his dishes atop the others, he turned to see Kasiya ask him a question in her usual perky and completely interested way. "Slateport? Yeah totally." he replied in a hasty manner, as if to avoid the possibility of confusion. "It'll certainly be nice to spend some time relaxing after me and Kilik raided the Aqua-oh hell and damnation." Of course, Mike's usual hurried manner of speaking sometimes left his brain with less time to think before shooting words out of his mouth. He sighed and crossed his arms, tilting his head back to prepare for the oncoming panicked and annoying questions.

"Raided the Aqua-oh hell and damnation?" Kasiya repeated, tilting her head to the side in slight confusion. She blinked a few times before it clicked and she frowned, placing her hands on her hips and glaring at Mike. "Hey, since when do you go on special missions like that without me?!" she asked, now officially pouting. She knew it wasn't unlike Mike to get into trouble like that and truth be told she wasn't surprised at all that he'd go off and do something like that. She was a little surprised that he'd coerced Kilik into joining him, and she couldn't help but wonder what their reasons had been. As much as she felt needed when they included her in things like this, she wasn't really all that hurt but it was fun to play it up nevertheless. Her pretend hard look softened and she shook her head and looked up at Mike again. "I'm just glad you guys are okay." She nearly whispered the last part, looking down as Ada came trotting into the room and started holding up her arms to be picked up. "But I can't!" Kasiya groaned. "You're too heavy, Sweetie." Ada began to pout now too (wonder where she got that from) and instead settled for a hug. Kasiya sighed, wondering how much longer the Larvitar would want to continue being babied. She recalled the young Pokemon and looked around, her eyes resting on the egg that sat nestled in with the rest of her things. She walked over and carefully picked it up, gathering up all her stuff before looking around. As much as she enjoyed the Summers' hospitality, she was longing to get a move on. Lavaridge's heat was starting to bother her. She poked her head out the back door and called for her Pokemon, looking back at her friends as she waited for her party to regroup.
Flannery's eye twitched slightly and like a streak of lightning the redheaded Gym Leader whirled around and cuffed Mike in the back of the head. "You idiot!" she grumbled, keeping her voice low so that the Summers, namely Mr and Mrs, didn't get wind of their conversation. "I don't know if you've noticed it or not but I don't really like it so much when you run off to play Mr Hero!" She sighed and crossed her arms, still glaring at him. As much as she hated it she knew it was just a part of Mike's nature, running off and getting into all sorts of trouble. At times it was endearing but at the same time it infuriated and terrified her. "And you! Encouraging him!" she went on, now grumbling at Kasiya. Feeling quite flustered, she sighed heavily and looked to Keegan. "Help?" she asked a bit meekly.

Keegan had been wiping a glass clean while the conversation unfolded, and he simply closed his eyes and smirked. He'd had a conversation just like this one with Kasiya last night, and he knew now that he couldn't stop her from doing what she felt needed to be done. "Kasiya's right though," he said, placing the cup on the drying rack, "just as long as you guys are all right." He wasn't exactly sure who this Kilik person was but if he were as reckless and headstrong as Mike then they would amount to a dangerous pair. He gave Flannery a knowing look, as he knew exactly how she felt about the situation. He was just as flustered as she was but he had already given up trying to change Kasiya's mind about this. "Anyway Mike, you can't just leave us hanging. Details, man. Details."
It was about this time that the kids were all shooed outside, although Keegan did gather up his own traveling supplies before doing so. He stepped out into the yard and looked around, glad to see that Helios and Themis were busy playing a game of tag (or something that looked just like it. The Manectric had quite an advantage speed-wise but that didn't stop Helios from trying his hardest. What he lacked in speed he definitely made up for it in spirit. As Keegan watched them he imagined what Helios would be like as a Ninetales and he sighed. While it would make the fox much stronger, it would still be a little sad to see him all grown up. He looked up as the singsong voice of Artemis filled the air, and seemingly out of nowhere the Swellow swooped down and landed on her trainer's head. Keegan was a little surprised by the greeting; usually the bird preferred to peck him on the head with her sharp little beak in order to say hello. "You guys ready to get going?" Althena was sitting nearby, arms folded and eyes closed, seemingly meditating. Right next to the Golduck was Tierra, who was - surprise, surprise - sound asleep. The tip of Loki's tail could be seen poking out from behind the Golem, as apparently Loki had decided it was nap time as well. If anything, at least his Pokemon got along. ===== Any lingering thoughts surrounding the Tin Tower were long gone now as an angry Miharu tried to chase down the girl who had stolen her bike. What nerve! She'd had it locked up and everything! The green-haired girl sighed and kept running. After all, locks only kept honest people honest. She could still hear Aska's cries from high above her, and the Pidgeotto's keen concentration told her that the bird still had a lock on her target. They were approaching the outskirts of town quite quickly, and Miharu could see the girl up ahead - she'd had to dismount the stolen bike in order to go through the gatehouse connecting Ecruteak City to... whatever it was that was through those gates. Aska stayed airborne, flying up and over as Miharu reached the gatehouse, chest heaving from the effort. She wasn't used to running like this!
Upon reaching the other side of the gatehouse she could see the girl riding away again, and she snatched Tingle's Pokeball from her belt and threw it as far as she could. "Tingle, I need your help!" she shouted loudly. "Stop that girl!" For once, the Metang seemed to understand the urgency of the situation and it quickly waved its clawed hands in the air, causing the bike and the girl riding it to become highlighted by a shiny purple aura. With the flick of one of Tingle's fingers, the girl was lifted up, which caused the now-riderless bike to wobble and lose control before toppling over onto the side of the path.
"Hey! Put me down right this instant!" the redheaded thief shouted angrily at the Metang, who shrugged before letting the aura fade. With a slight shriek the girl fell to the ground with a thud. "Fine, you caught me," she said with a slight chuckle, brushing the dirt from her jeans. "But you shouldn't just leave your bike lying around like that."

Serenity and her mudkip started on their way back to Oldale. She figured that if they wanted to they could stop for the night at the pokecenter there. At least they would have a warm bed and food in their belly when they woke up the next morning. Sere couldn’t believe that she hadn’t thought of how they were going to get back to Slateport to the beach party after being dropped off by Alex’s Charizard. ‘I guess I was just too excited to get going.’ She thought to her self.
As they walked down the trail back towards the city they had started their journey in, Sere was surprised by how many trainers were still out and about at a time that must have been nearing dinner time at least. It was starting to cool off some as the sun continued to set and she heard her stomach grumble to reminder her that she hadn’t eaten all day. The trainers that were all over the trail seemed to be packing up and getting ready to return to their homes. She could tell that some of them were like her, and were carrying bigger bags that let her know that they were also traveling around.
One of the trainers on the road, a girl that was a good foot taller than her and had the most vibrant purple hair that she had ever seen stayed in spot. Serenity stopped dead in her tracks. The girl didn’t look like she was going to be going any where any time soon. “What now?” She said to George.
George could tell that his trainer wasn’t in the mood to deal with new people any more today. It had been a full day for her. He spotted a way around the stubborn trainer and started to bounce into the high grass. When he realized that Serenity wasn’t following him he started to jump high above the grass. “Mudkip!” He called to get her attention.
Sere smiled. Her pokemon was a genius. If they went through the grass they might meet some pokemon and they would avoid the obviously dedicated trainer. She followed him in, the tall grass tickled her bare legs, but she managed to ignore the sensation and instead focus on the shaking grass in front of her that showed where George was. The two of them didn’t stop until they could just barely see the purple hair from where they were, just incase she turned around and decided to invite them to fight anyway.

They were only a short bit away from the main road when Serenity noticed that George stopped abruptly. She could have sworn she had heard a thud as well, which made her start to panic some. She rushed ahead to see what held up her leader and parted the grass to find that George had run head long into an Oddish. An Oddish that now looked more than a little annoyed. Two of the leaves on the top of it’s head had balled up and to Serenity looked like little fists. She tried really hard to suppress a giggle that was threatening to come out, but it didn’t help that it now was dancing around as though it was looking for a fight. George on the other hand was looking only slightly annoyed himself. He was watching the silly Oddish trying to figure out what he had done that would result in such a bizarre display.
“Are you okay, George?” Sere bent down next to him and checked him over to make sure that he was doing okay. The Oddish was still dancing and was not almost chirping. “Odd dish……” As though it was trying to intimidate them.
George nuzzled into his trainer to show that he was doing fine, then returned his attention to the strange plant that was dancing in front of him. He stepped away from Serenity some so that he could let out a low rumble that just got louder and higher until it was far more a squeak then anything else. His first attempt at a growl. He hoped that sooner or later his voice would get deeper and he would sound less like a mouse and more like the strong pokemon he was.
Serenity was surprised by the growl that came from her pokemon. He had never growled at another pokemon ever, and she had to admit the sound to her was more likely to cause her to collapse into a giggle fit then drive her away. It seemed to her that the Oddish had the same thoughts about it, since it had now stopped it’s ridiculous dance and simply stared at George in confusion. As though George was now the one that was acting bizarre. After a few seconds it fell to the ground and seemed to be laughing.

George stood there looking at the plant, unimpressed that its attempt to throw the Oddish off, was being met by giggles. On the up side though the Oddish was laughing so hard that had no desire to attack the little blue pokemon. George bounced up to the Oddish and nudged it. It gave a look at the Mudkip but returned to its laughing. So George hopped on it, causing the Oddish to let out its own little squeak. It used its leafy hair to push the Mudkip off, and much to George’s dismay, when he landed again on the ground he let out another squeak.
By this time Serenity was so amused that she couldn’t stop from laughing her self. The antics of the two pokemon was just so bizarre she couldn’t help it. ‘Must be silly time for the pokemon.’ She thought as she sat on the ground next to the Oddish and Mudkip, trying to catch her breath. Even George had succumbed and was now giggling as well.
It took the three of them a while but they managed to calm them selves down. Serenity watched in amazement as George struck up a conversation with the wild pokemon. ‘He is so fearless of new things. I wish I could be that way.’ With-in another couple of minutes the two pokemon seemed to be laughing once more, and Sere couldn’t do anything but shake her head. She was happy that George was able to make new friends so easily, she wondered if she should worry that he might one day want to leave her and go off and find a trainer that was more suited to his personality.
Just then the Mudkip bounced up to her and nuzzled at her hand. “What is it George?” “Kip k-kip?” He said in response. He used one of his flippers to nudge at the empty poke-balls at her side. “You want me to catch him? I dunno, I’m supposed to save these for when we get to the new area.” She said. The Mudkip looked up at her with pleading eyes before looking back to the Oddish. Serenity followed his line of site and found that even the plant now seemed to be pouting. ‘Oh bugger.’
“Come here little one.” She said. She put her hand out as an offering. The plant bounced over to her and jumped into her hand. It had squinty little eyes and a huge smile. “You want to join our little wandering party do you?” The plant nodded. “Did George explain to you that we won’t be back to this area for a really long time?” It nodded again. “Alright, we will have to come up with a name, but I see no reason why you can’t join our little party.” Sere put the Oddish back down on the ground. She took one of the poke balls off her belt and tossed it lightly in the Oddish’s direction, which with out any issues landed and caught the pokemon. Once everything had registered she let the pokemon out again. “Welcome Radish.”

Mike was about to answer before he felt Flannery's fist connect with his skull. "Argh!!" He bit his lip to muffle his scream, the air causing his cheeks to swell up. It didn't hurt that much, but the sheer fact that the first thing she did was hit him made his blood boil. After a moment he let out a sharp and frustrated exhale, the result similar to that of an overinflated tire kissing a nail. Wordlessly, he walked outside, then whipped around, the idea of his open palm connecting with her face sounding better every second. No domestic abuse this time, even if it would be totally deserved. "What the hell was that for?!" He shouted, rubbing the back of his head. " Just because you're a frickin' girl doesn't mean that you can go around hitting me when you think it's funny! That was totally uncalled for!" Suffice to say, he was pretty mad. "You didn't even give me a chance to say why I did that. God, even I'm not stupid enough to go running into a heavily armed base for no reason." He crossed his arms and took a deep breath, almost not wanting to actually tell his story.
"Anyway, the reason why Kilik and I raided the Aqua headquarters was because my friend Sasha got kidnapped and I wasn't about to sit around and let them rough her up." He snorted at the thought of that red headed Admin that was guarding her. He was glad they got there when they did. "We got there as fast as we could and managed to get her out of there before anything major happened, but she was still tied up and beaten pretty bad." Sasha kicking Shelly down the stairs caused him to smile a bit. She certainly was a firecracker. "On our way out me and Kilik fought Archie and held him off. Thank god he was there to help me or I don't think I woulda made it out so easily." He glanced over at Kasiya and shrugged. "It was a kinda spur of the moment thing, so I didn't have time to wait around for others. But I am fine, thank you. It was pretty exciting though." He sighed as his story came to a close and snapped his fingers. One by one he recalled his Pokemon as they ran over at his summoning.
He turned to look at Flannery. "If I hadn't of done something my friend might not have survived into the next day. I'll be taking your apology for that extremely unnecessary hit now."

By this point Kasiya just decided to stay quiet, walking over to where her Pokemon were gathered and sitting down around them. Leviathan watched Mike and Flannery's outbursts with wide eyes, taking a few steps back so she was practically seated in Kasiya's lap. Ariel, Shocker and Fang each exchanged glances knowingly. While they didn't exactly love the idea of their friends running off and throwing themselves in harm's way, the three of them had Mike to thank for the daring rescue of their own trainer, not that long ago, when she had been spirited away by Team Rocket and taken to their not-so-hidden-anymore base in Celadon City. Kasiya recognized that look in her Pokemons' eyes and she smiled at them. "I know, you guys. I think so too, but I don't think that it is our place to interfere with them." A murmur of agreement of sorts passed through the four of them and one by one Kasiya recalled them into the safety of their Pokeballs, this time leaving no one out for company. This task complete, she stood up and walked over to Keegan, waving at Artemis as she approached. "I think we should go now," she said in a low voice, tugging gently on the end of his shirt. "You know, to let them sort stuff out and... stuff." As much as she wanted to give her two friends the time they'd need to calm down and make things right, most of her just wanted to get out of Lavaridge. She couldn't bear the heat any longer and she just wanted to get out of there. Besides that, she wanted to get to Slateport as soon as possible.
"You know, I don't really care why you did it," Flannery retorted then, holding her hands up in the air. "I kinda think you're missing the point here." Despite her best efforts to keep her voice firm and unwavering and brimming with rage, it would crack every few words or so, and with each break in her tone tears welled up in her eyes. "Now don't get me wrong here, I'm glad that Sasha is all right - she's a sweet kid and all, a little eccentric I admit but a good kid - but if something would have happened to you I..." she trailed off then, words failing her. Her arms fell limply to her sides and she looked at the ground. She sighed and shook her head. "You know what then? Fine. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I worry and care about you more than I care about anyone else in this whole entire world, all right? If that makes me selfish and awful, then so be it; I don't care. I'm sorry. Go ahead and keep putting yourself in danger. Keep it up and eventually I'll just stop worrying and caring."
She turned and left the Summers' property then, tears flowing freely down her cheeks now as she ran nearly blind down the street. At this point she was shaking from a mixture of tears, guilt and sadness, and the only thing she wanted to do was return to her gym where she could throw herself into her training. She practically kicked the door to the gym down when she returned, causing nearly every trainer with in to startle. "What are you looking at?" she shouted, glaring at them all it turn. "Get back to your training already!" They all heeded her words and did just that, but Flannery couldn't find the inspiration to train with her Pokemon. She spied the vase of beautiful red flowers sitting on the side table and she snatched them up and carried them into her office where she promptly slammed the door behind her. Finally alone, she sat down on the small couch she kept inside for naps and a makeshift bed and buried her face in the lovely flowers, crumpling them even further. "You're so stupid, Mike..." she mumbled between sobs. "Don't you even understand how this makes me feel?"

For the most part Keegan was just standing there, trying not to say anything for fear of making things worse (something he was really good at), but he couldn't help but understand just how both parties felt right now. He sympathized with Flannery's torment over having the one she loved always racing off into danger to play the crusading hero, and he felt Mike's constant need to watch over and protect his friends. In one sense he envied Mike's bravery - he had no idea if he'd be able to play the part if ever there came a time when he needed to rush to the rescue, but then again he wouldn't know unless it ever did happen. The mental image he'd cooked up of him riding in on a silver Rapidash to rescue his lovely Kasiya-in-distress was suddenly shifted quite drastically, as it was now him who was all tied up and locked away in a tower, where far below he could see an armor-clad Kasiya riding in on a mighty-looking Hiro, sword drawn and banner flying. He groaned inwardly - sometimes it felt that even his own imagination were against him, what with it taking shots at his manhood and everything.
He shooed Artemis from his head before recalling her into her Pokeball, and quickly did the same to the rest of his party, save for Helios and Themis, for now anyway, watching Kasiya carefully as she came up to him. He didn't really hear what she said, he just pulled her into a tight hug and held her close. "You see Flannery there?" he asked her quietly. "That. That's how I feel when you run off and do crazy stuff. Just in case you were wondering." He squeezed his eyes shut as though it would stop his own tears from forming. "And I know I can't stop you from doing what you need to do, but still. It's not gonna stop me from worrying." ===== "Lying around?" Miharu nearly shrieked. "What do you mean 'lying around'? It wasn't lying around at all!! It WAS locked up!" she shouted, as Aska slowly descended from the sky in a wide, spiraling glide to land on the ground near her trainer. "That is, it was locked up until you stole it!" Tingle had floated over to its trainer's side, and was currently mimicking her every gesture. It wasn't exactly helping her to look intimidating, and only when she caught the Metang's behaviour out of the corner of her eye did she recall the Pokemon.
"Whatever," the girl scoffed, pulling her long, red hair behind her head and securing it with a band. "You got it back, no harm no foul. You're gonna need a new bike lock though," she chuckled, dismissing the small, green-haired girl with a wave of her hand as she turned to walk away.
Growling, Miharu stomped over to her bike to check it out. It was a little scraped up from the fall but still quite useable. "Wait a minute, you're not getting away with this!" she yelled, shaking her fist at the girl.
"Oh, and what do you plan to do about it, Shrimp?" Redhead shot back, obviously not worried in the slightest. "I bet your scrawny little legs can't even reach the pedals of that bike. What are you, like ten?"
"I'm fifteen, FYI," Miharu grumbled, kicking the ground, "and they can too reach." If only she'd just grow a few more inches then maybe people would stop taking shots at her age! "I'm not going to rat on you or anything like that, but you're not just going to walk away from this!"
Redhead eyed the Pidgeotto sitting nearby and raised an eyebrow. "Well, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you're a Pokemon trainer. If that's the case, then let's battle. If I win, I'm outta here. You win, I'll get you a new lock and we'll just forget this whole thing. Deal?"
Miharu exchanged a glance with Aska before nodding slowly. "Deal."

Kasiya hadn't been expecting that kind of a reaction from Keegan, and after a big of shifting she managed to position herself so that the egg wasn't being crushed between them. "I know, and I'm sorry," she murmured. She could see Themis and Helios playing as she peeked over his shoulder. "But it's not like we go and look for trouble just for fun." She wasn't about to admit that there was a certain level of adrenalin and thrill that came from charging into something headlong. Sure, she knew the risks involved but if one of her friends were in danger... She had met Sasha a couple of times and she remembered that she had been a very nice person. Nosy and persistent yes, but definitely nice. "I know you may not understand it but that's what friends are for. You know, a while ago, Mike came to my rescue when I needed it, and I don't even know what would have happened to me if he hadn't come after me." She closed her eyes and leaned against the redhead. She didn't know what else to say, or if there was even anything else to say.
After Flannery had stormed off Kasiya couldn't help but feel bad for Mike, as she knew exactly how he must be feeling right now. It seemed that some people would never really understand this chivalrous streak he had, and as much as she wanted to go over to him and reassure him, she chose not to. I'm sure Mike already knows that I appreciate everything he's done for me, she thought. Now it's just a matter of making everyone else understand. She pulled away from Keegan then, and began to walk, cradling the egg in her arms. For a moment or so she thought she saw it glowing a little but she chalked it up to her imagination. Either way, she'd had enough of Lavaridge for now, and without her bike she knew it would be a long trip back to Mauville.
=-=-=-=-= Luckily enough, Jaeshan and Ryka's rooms turned out to be on the main floor of the hotel and right next to each other as well. The rooms themselves were far from ordinary, although Jaeshan was used to that kind of luxury really. He tossed his things down on the bed and looked around. There was a sliding patio door on the far wall and from there he could see the beach. The moon was reflected beautifully in the water and for a moment he couldn't help but stare at the scenery that had been laid out seemingly just for him. After a few moments he tore his gaze from the window and plopped himself down on the bed. In the far corner of the room he spotted a PC, as well as a video phone and he let out a low whistle - these rooms had everything! He got up off the bed and made his way over to it, and without even really thinking he logged on and withdrew Mightyena from storage. Once the Pokeball had been transfered he placed it on his belt, rearranging the spheres so they rested in a particular order.
Feeling a little better now that Mightyena was back with him he made sure everything was locked up before he stepped outside. The breeze coming off of the ocean was cool and he was glad he'd worn his jacket. He walked towards the water, glad for the quietness of the night, and at one point he sat down and took off his shoes and socks. As late as it was he knew he should be in bed, getting some much-needed rest but he was too awake and antsy to sleep right now. After a few moments of deliberation he decided to call out all of his Pokemon. There was no better way to burn off some excess energy than by means of late-night training. None of them had seen much action over the last few days (as wayward trainers and travelers had been far and few in between) and it was obvious by the intense and excited looks they all gave him that they were eager to work off some of their pent up energy as well.

A pristine sky stretched overhead, and M.A. could feel the sun smiling upon their backs. Per usual, time in this little dream seemed to flash by in little pauses and bursts; M.A. found herself staring at the uninterrupted blue above her head for a second before hearing her name.
"M.A.! Let's go, we're gonna be late!" a female voice called; she was surprised to see Mitsu there, in a gorgeous plum gown that swept to the floor. All the faces were somewhat foggy to her, but she knew with certainty who everyone was. By her side, arm in arm, was Sae? Vaguely, she wondered that Rein would be a bit ticked off, but a moment later nothing seemed wrong with the combo. Then there was Kilik and Kasiya, Kilik in tux with exaggerated coat tails, Kasiya in a big colorful, ruffled dress that resembled one of those Latin dancer outfits, complete with marraccas. And then there were other couples, other faces she recognized, but her mind didn't really address them.
Oh, it was prom. Right. But where was her date? Looking down, she saw a two-foot-tall Ky. "Shall we go, M.A.?" he smiled, his voice astonishingly deep. "Right!" she replied, feeling a bit awkward now as she bent down to take his arm.
Ky noticed her trouble, and added almost immediately, "Oh, let me adjust," before he shot up in the air to a staggering six foot nine inches. "More comfortable now?" His date nodded, nearly tripping on her shoes; looking down, she saw that she indeed was wearing two left stilettos. Like she really needed to be taller.
They whiffed away in a Globetrotters minivan, coming to a dim hospital decorated with neon lights and flowers and streamers. It felt perfectly natural to have music booming through the white walls, nurses with scandalous outfits grindin' up on random guests, doctors knocked up in the corner. M.A. hardly noticed. They danced for about, two seconds, before someone familiar came around and slammed a drink down M.A.'s once-white ensemble. "Hey!" she shouted, getting a closer look at the girl who did it.
... It... was a girl, right? No, no, that was Crenu! In a tacky yellow wig and a dress that screamed drag queen. But somehow, at the moment, it didn't really matter to her. "What was that for?"
"Oh no you didn't," Crenu/Crenu-lady said, giving a ton of attitude and waving his/her finger about. She/he pushed M.A. out of the way and gave Ky a vicious lip-lock before tackling him, which resulted in a pink-colored poof in which they both disappeared. M.A., a bit dazzled, wandered out of the room into another room to find herself...
In a lush rainforest. Kilik was swinging through the branches, scarely dressed with just a loincloth made of some Pokemon print. M.A. was suddenly afraid of being alone here. "Wait, wait!" she cried, running after him and tripping over a large Ekans on the way. It snarled at her, growing and growing in size before it erupted into a giant Ulani! "HELLO!" Giant-Ulani said, voice booming through the forest and decimating the trees. All that was left was a desert, and they were suddenly in a cave. "YOU HAVE RELEEEAAAASSEEEED MEEE. I WILL GRANT YOU TWO WISHES."
"Why not three?"
"HUSH, HUMAN. I LIKE TWO BETTER."
"Oh okay. Welll... I don't know, I'm pretty happy with life as it is now, y'know?"
"I SEE. WELL THEN. I'M OUT OF A JOB. WANNA GO FOR A RIDE?" A sexy little convertible blasted out of nowhere. Giant-Ulani somehow squeezed into the front seat, and M.A. jumped in on the hood. And they blasted off into space.
Unfortunately, they crashed after a second of flight, and a now-deflated Ulani was recalled as M.A. was helped out by a dashing dark man. His face was a ruddy tan, the color of Indian skin, while his eyes and hair were jet-black. Black ears sprouted out of his head, and there was a silver plate lying between them. "Greetings, mi'lady," the man purred, tossing a coat over her. For it was suddenly cold. "Oh, hi Daemyn," M.A. said, now somehow on his shoulders as if she were a little kid.
Before much else could be said, a monstrous boulder suddenly burst from nowhere and knocked Daemyn over, letting M.A. float away like a feather. She landed a few feet away lightly, watching with a detatched horror as the boulder ran Daemyn over again and again until he was nothing but a cast-iron skillet. The boulder unrolled to reveal a very happy Tora. "Master!" the elephant howled gleefully, charging towards her with no regards to her own strength. She must have been the size of a house.
M.A. braced for impact, sticking a hand out in front of her. Insert massive explosion, comic book style. To her surprise, she found herself easily stopping the Phanpy, and was able to lift her up and chuck her into a fish tank full of paper Goldeen. Because she was Bulldozer Woman!
Near the end of her time in M.A. world, a pair of obsidian eyes suddenly appeared before her, laughing with a crackling, maniacal eagerness before sucking itself back out of her dream.
She wouldn't remember much about her dream he next day, although the image of Tarzan-Kilik would sporadically pop up when she would see him next.

Train wandered around some tall grass, pushing the large blades of green aside as she searched for a wild Pokémon to battle. She thought she hurd a ruste in the grass nearby and whirled quickly, just in time to see a Ratata scurry off. "Ah! No, wait!" She cried, dashing after the Pokémon. She was managing to keep it in her sights when a Pidgey was suddenly in front of her. She tried to stop, and ended up nearly falling flat on the thing, but she caught herself on her hands as the Pidgey hopped quickly out of the way.
Train let out a sigh of relief, until she heard and angry squawk from nearby. She glanced up and saw the Pidgey standing about a yard away, looking extremely ticked off. "U-uhm..." Train stood up slowly, and Pikachu stepped out in front of her. The girl looked at Pikachu, then back at the infuriated Pidgey. "Pikachu, Thundershock!" Train quickly commanded her Pokémon, who gave a small nod and sent a little blast of electricity at the Pidgey. The Pidgey squawked in surprise, but stood up after the blast, then Tackled Pikachu. Another quick Thundershock ended the battle, though, and Train congratulated Pikachu on the victory.

Keegan said nothing in reply and was content to just hold her for now, eyes closed as well. He was tired of this argument, and he knew full well that it was one he could not win, so he no longer saw the point of trying to discuss it. His friends were the way the were, and there was nothing he could really do about it. As Kasiya started walking away, Helios and Themis made their way to their trainer's side, evidently a little tired from their game of tag. Themis pressed his nose against his own Pokeball and recalled himself while Helios was content to climb up onto Keegan's shoulder. "I suppose we should get going," he murmured to himself, but hesitated a bit. For a moment he considered staying behind, but if he knew Flannery and Mike as well as he claimed he did, then he figured they'd work it out somehow. They don't need a mediator, he thought, slowly walking after Kasiya. At least I hope they don't.
It wasn't very long before they reached the outskirts of Lavaridge, and Keegan stopped, crossing his arms. During their short trip here he'd been thinking, and now he figured it a good time as any to voice his opinions. "You know, you should probably head back to Mauville with Fang," he said, nodding at her. "I know this route incredibly well and I can go it pretty quickly by now." Even then, if he didn't make it to Slateport or even Mauville by nightfall it wouldn't matter to him; he knew he could get to Slateport early enough the next morning. He wasn't the one who was keen on getting to that party, it was Kasiya. He knew she could get there with Fang pretty easily and he didn't want to hold her up. Besides that, he kinda wanted some alone time - after all they'd been side by side for more than three days straight now. He watched the horizon in the distance, waiting for her response. ===== "Excellent," the girl smiled, holding up a Pokeball and eying Miharu. Her gaze then fell upon Aska and she nodded at the bird. "Your Pidgeotto versus my own bird Pokemon! Oh, and by the way, the name's Gretchen." She did a fancy little twirl and tossed the sphere, and from it came an owlish Pokemon that Miharu didn't recognize at first - a Noctowl! They weren't very common in the wild, at least where she came from anyways, only their pre-evolved form, Hoothoot.
"I'm Miharu," the small girl replied finally, still watching the owl Pokemon curiously. "All right Aska, you're up," she told the Pidgeotto, who gave a shriek and flapped her wings once before going airborne. She knew that Hoothoot evolved somewhere around the time that Pidgey did, so she wasn't sure just how strong it was. "Lead off with your Gust attack!" she commanded, a slight waver in her voice. She was starting to wonder if this really was such a good idea after all. Aska, however, didn't seem too worried as she let out a cry before she rapidly flapped her wings to generate a small tornado, which was then sent towards the opposing bird Pokemon.
"Take it, Noctowl!" Gretchen shouted. "Then counter with Tackle!" The Noctowl hunkered down, tucking its wings close to its body as it beared the attack, glaring at Aska through narrowly slitted eyes. When the winds from Aska's Gust died down it pushed off the ground surprisingly fast, shooting towards the Pidgeotto like a bullet. Aska had little time to react and took the Tackle head on, the force of it knocking her back a little. Miharu grit her teeth - this wasn't going to be easy.
