Cynder Pains takingly copied from a picture of a T-shirt and ASCII art from the *Chan sites:  Because I was bored, and I love this rendition of the ***** whee Tell me the point behind *****, I've never seen an explaination of it, and its not in the Wikipedia list of 4chan memes.

The ***** is a bear with *****. Pretty much whenever Someone posts a Loli image on one of the *chan sites the ***** ASCII image is posted. He usually looks like he's advancing on something. Just check the ASCII sections of the *chans to see him, there's always at least one visible on the first page of those galleries. edit: Though he seems to be more well known on Idle Chan. ***** originated on 2chan, and a lot of the 2chan vets seem to be drifting onto Idle of late. Edit 2: ***** base drawing!

Well, with all the art stuff flying around recently, I've decided to finally learn how to draw. xd
If anyone could reccomend some books worth checking out, that'd be appreciated.

Kinetic Dream *Drops out of Lurk-mode* Well, with all the art stuff flying around recently, I've decided to finally learn how to draw. xd If anyone could reccomend some books worth checking out, that'd be appreciated. P.S. LET TEH LURNING OF ENGRISH AND HISTREE BEGIN!!! scream Hmm well I guess oneof the better books you could get for manga is the "how to draw ones" But I don't really used books like that I just buy alot of manga that I can stuy from. So I know how characters do everythign from sitting to kicking someones a**. it's awsomez hehe.

Don't get hung up on or try to have a style beaten into your head by the "how to"s. They do have some useful tips, but nothing you can't find on the net yo.

Cynder the basics are rather simple really. Don't press down hard, becase if you mess up it's easier to erase. Find a lead weigh and thinkness you're comfortable with. and in general try not to force yourself, just draw what you like. Yeah, I guess so.
