**Enter Maggie**

*Maggie fades in, apron on, hair pinned back, peeling an apple in one long curl*

*Maggie looks up at the sound, realizing where she is. She bites her lip when she sees who else is there with her. Maybe she can just slip out without disturbing him . . . she starts to move quietly toward the guest room hallway*

*Almost to the hallway, Maggie pauses when Van der Mullen starts speaking in his sleep. She looks over to him, then sighs inwardly, and murmers to herself* Do unto others.. *She ought not just leave him like that if he's cold*

*Stepping softly, she crosses back over, setting down the apple and knife on the nearest table. She closes her eyes briefly to summon up a mug of tea and sets it down within Van der Mullen's reach. With a moment's more concentration, she materializes a blanket as well, but hesitates to lay it over him. She would really rather not have to deal with him awake.*

*Maggie sees the watch fall, and, not realizing at first that it's attached, instinctively moves to catch it. She reaches to put it back in his pocket, trying to be very careful not to disturb him*

*Maggie tenses as Van der Mullen shifts, then lets out a relieved breath as he slumbers on, and returns the watch to its place. That done, Maggie unfolds the blanket and gently drapes it over him, then steps back to make her way quietly toward the hallway once more*
