Cymarron will always be devoted to Nailah. but Raven's void is a threat, adn the familar is supposed to help fix that. Cymarron is ensuring that something at least is there if that familar doesn't work

Rand has never really had a friend before, you and Cym are the first. While she may be smewhat smitten, it would take much, MUCH longer for her to fall in love.
Or have any feelsing of lust for that matter.

Actually...Cymarron does go into a 'heat'. and trust me, you don't want him too. think when nel went nuts, and was kissing all the girls..except if he saw a male there woudl be a fight. no matter who. he woudl shatter a mirror to hurt his reflection. fortunatly, his 'heat' only lasts like a week, rather then like a month I think for actual big cats.
