Ryou flinched, only imagining too well what kinds of things Bakura would say. He hadn't commented on the return of his yami yet, but he was clearly aware of it. "Well, it couldn't have been too bad." He tried to say, and quickly changed the subject. "You gonna get to see her?"

Ryou looked surprised briefly. He didn't understand why Kira asked him that. "Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" He said, sitting down on the bed. "Are you okay? I mean... you don't seem upset by the phone call or anything."

Ryou leaned forward, hugging Kira tightly. "I love you, Kira." He said, his voice thick with emotion. He sounded close to tears, almost.

He didn't know why he had been seized by such emotion, but just thinking about Rei, and having Bakura come back... It made him think deeply. "Even if I'll always think you could have done better than me... I'm glad you somehow managed to stay with me."
