I think the higher up something starts, the earlier you have to be for it. Like if the commander says it, the 1st Sgt puts it out 5 minutes earlier, and the PLT sgt puts it out 5 minutes earlier, and then the squad leaders and then the team leaders. And then there's time you set aside to be early. An hour early 90% of the time.

Quick rundown of the character. . .
She is a former master fighter whom had invented the Death Hand style in opposition to her rather frail appearance, she has monstrous strength in comparison with this said style. However down the line with the demise of her master and banishment of herself, she succumbed to a self-induced coma for thirteen years before finally awakening, weakened and with a hardcore case of amnesia with spotty memory. Just a general idea to fit with the style I made. As for Death hand -- Think guillotines for hands.
