Eliot's smiled died. "Oh, oh I'm so sorry I didn't realize..."
That saddened Eliot, she wou;ld have loved to meet her, and she felt bad for bringing it up. "So how are you enjoying the evening sir?"

Aella swollowed, looking around uneasily. "Sure, alright." But she didn't know what she was supposed to do form there, so waited for instructions. "Cedric, you sound different."
"It is a good evening full of food and drink. We are enjoying the king's hospitality emensly. But! Enough talk from me." He grabbed Warren and pushed him against Eliot. "Go! Dance! We will be merry and happy today, and worry tomorrow."
Warren took Eliot's hand. "I think my Father's had a little too much to drink."

Onyx was back in Deepwater. this thing took way too long nad he didn't really have a lot of patience. Sitting, watching, waiting. and growling lightly. Damn these humans and thier big fancy parties..So he was goin gto party crash. that ment going right in the front nad heaven help a human that tried to stop him.
Malik nodded lightly, he understood that.
"She has a point. stress does have a tendancy to make things bad on a child to be. So have a seat, enjoy yourself, and lets all get back in a hapy mood except the other two drow who are pissed at eachother."
A grin and letting Piper sit with Meilikki and company, and taking a seat by her, getting them both a glass of cider.
"Relax, Piper..everything is alright."

She laughed "At least he's happy!" Sh elooked behind her as they walked to the dance floor.
"So Warren, where did you learn to dance so well?"

"What?" His voice reverted back to normal. "Oh, sorry." He cleared his throat. "Now, since I think you would prefer a formal dance, please place one hand in each of mine, keeping you arms parallel." He held out his hands palm up, gently awaiting to recieve Aella's. "After that, we are going to step in threes. Because that might not be familiar to you, copy me exactly. If my right legs steps out, your right leg steps out." He kept his eyes locked onto hers. "If you think you are going to step on my feet, try to read my movement through my puples the way one reads an enemy's movement in combat." He smiled softly and very friendly. To express a metaphor to describ that smile, one could say that by making that guesture the gentle breezes from a warm ocean could wash across your face, kissing it with a gentle aroma of distant lands and adventure.

He smiled, tapping his nose. "My mother taught me." He laughed and spun her across the room. Yes. he was having a good time.
Aella lightened up a little bit. Okay. that's a little better. "Was your mind in a different place?" She followed as he instructed her, her steps clumbsy and left footed. She hadn't had too much traning in combat either, so that advice wasn't much help. But she tried, catching on after a little bit. "Like that?"
Meilikki accepted the glass form Malik and sipped it politly.

"Have you ever tried to focus all of you attention to one detail, try to figure out one puzzle or clue that would make the universe seem to be within mental comprehenssion?" He replied to the question with another question, which oddly was the explination.
"Your elvish blood has caught up with you." He said after a moment. "Now," He moved their arms slighly and stepped slightly closer so that his elbows and hers were bent on right angles. "Can you mirror my steps? IF I step left, you step right? If I step forward, you step back?" He asked gently. "Now I know that the temple has picked up, but we are not going to follow it. You need to waltz your way through dance lessions, not run the rapids." He chuckled softly.

"Oh, I see." But she sure as hell didn't understand.
She blushed a bit and grunted at the compliment. She was never sure how she should feel about being a half elf. "I think so..." not two steps later she had tripped over her won feet and had to catch herself on Cedric's front. She staightened, looking at the floor. "Sorry. The rapids got me."

Aella fell, and Cedric gently caught her, and assisted her back onto her feet.
"I was a terrible dancer as a child." Cedric said, "It took me a long time to figure out the trick to it." He led her slightly faster, his feet actually guessing where Aella's would naturally go, and he balancing her so that her chaotic movement was actually the central piece of the dance, but afer a few measures, he twirled her, and gently brought them to a stop, her facing away from him, each of his arms holding hers out, but their bodies not touching beyond the fingers. "Now, lead. Move how every you want, and do not think about me at all."

Well. that was a surprise, to find himself on teh guestlist. when did that happen? either way, he was staring at Cedric right now. claws tapping on his arm, while he was against the wall. not a happy vah. though he was rather appreciative of Aella's outfit and looks.
Malik rested his hand on Piper's thigh, patting lightly. She had gone quiet, and that worried him a bit. She was getting pent up and defensive, not good for her.

She got worried at the point, she didn't even know what she should do...at this point she figured shed have to wing it. She closed her eyes and took a step to the left. From there she let her feet do the thinking. Because as soon as she thought about anything she would stumble.
Meilikki lowered her ear to a small boy who had been asked to deliever her a message. She nodded to the boy, looking at her king. "We have been requiested to present ourselves to King Jiscals table. I beleive the politics are starting."
Gerard smiled as he led her to Jiscals table.

Cedric sang softly, matching the beat of Aella's movements, like a warm ray of light gently sprinkling warmth upon a body one a nice summer day. For one reason or another, mostly because Aella was a natural dancer (it was in her blood), the surronding crowd watched the duet with amusement. It was not as showy or glamerous as Malik and Piper, but it held a magisty above what the humans would noramlly be capable of.
"This is not so bad, now is it?" Cedric asked softly at the end of his song.
Jiscal smiled as Meilikki and Gerard approached. "How long has it been, an hour, since you have arrived. Have you been enjoying you stay in my Hall? I am sorry about the roudyness of some of the other guests, but that cannot be avoided." Without dying.
"Shall we dance for Peace?" Zeranda asked, "Or Prosperity?"

Onyx's eyes watched. And he wanted to rip Cedric's spine out. But he'd refrain. he just watched, and let his eyes follow every movement. Though he noted no one seemed to have noticed him yet. which was probably good. no need for people to panic who may think him a bloody murderer.

When they finished she was surprised that she hadn't fallen again. She smiled at Cedric. "No, not bad at all." She looked around at the gathered group, wondering if she had brought good or bad attention onto herself.
"A stay in your hall woul be welcome time and again. In otherwords, we areenjoying ourselves no end." He bowed and held a hand out to Zeranda.
"For Prosperity."
"It is as wounderful a gathering as I could have hoped." She waited for Jiscal to Extand his hand to hers.
"And for Peace."

Cedric lead her into a spin from nowhere, and allowed her to stop a few inches away from his face. "Now you know how to dance." He said with a subtle hint of charm.
Jiscal arose, and took Meilikki elogently by the arm, as Zerand allowed Gerard to lead her. The moved out onto the dance floor, but claimed where Cedric and Aella were, which Cedric willingly yielded.
A song began to play, and the Kings, Queen, and Oracle danced in a very traditional way.
