I got second post in the Gaiku thread. biggrin There was even a three-minute window where I could have been first, but I decided to wait for someone else to break the ice. And since it was a conscious decision, I actually feel like I was first...definitely first to notice the thread, if nothing else. xd Being second feels awesome in itself though!

My mom is watching some designing show then randomly just looks at me "So you're not going to college?"
...Wtf?
A few years ago I said I may or may not go directly to college. I would rather know what I'm going to college for so I don't waste my time and money to only change my mind half way through. My mom took this as me saying I don't want to get a degree.
Then when I explained to her I rather know why I'm going then just going she acted like I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. She started telling me about like how my sister could be on CSI and how another sister wants to be a genetic counselor. She kept ranting on how I should be the one to inform people about what their test results are because I've been there. Yeah I've been there, it's pretty damn depressing and I don't know why anyone would chose to give people bad news.
I had to literally scream at her that I knew I wanted to go into health services and couldn't pick between Physical Therapist or Nurse Practitioner, both of which have specific degrees just for that job. Then I have to take into account I'm technically disabled so I need to think about what I can physically do.
She shut up pretty damn fast.

I'd respond to you more if we can, since I see people quoting you now. O.o I still maintain the rule, but I haven't been enforcing it much lately because I haven't said anything that could be particularly controversial. Normally the reason is because if something I say elicits a reaction that upsets me in some way, I delete the post, and it's a pain to ask everyone who quoted it to delete it as well. sweatdrop Although you could just say "@Kestin:"

So, since the beginning of the year I've been getting weird skin that's like sunburn skin, but smaller, and literally in small, peel-able patches , you can peel it in patches and it isn't itchy, just really annoying, and when it isn't raised, if you look at it in a certain light you can tell that it's gonna peel/dead. It's just under my tummy (where the pants are in contact) and under my chest (contact with bra)
Just recently it's actually started showing up on my stomach ._. like this week Monday. I've always had sensitive skin, but this is really weird.
inb4: it shouldn't be the soap I use because I've been using that for years (Body Shop) and it has never affected me. mom always tries to make sure she's using products that are good on skin.
I'm not sure if it's hormones or age but it's weird ._. I can't get an appointment with my family doctor until I know my school schedule and even then it'd be a couple months before my appointment.
It's not like it's a bother, since it isn't itchy it's just....annoying :/ makes me afraid of putting on my bathing suit this year at the cottage without Vitamin E cream for when I get out.
