"He's outside talking to my mom. I don't really like him." Rei mumbled into the phone, just as though she were talking to any old person. "Oh, hey, what were you doing earlier? My mom said that when she tried to call earlier some guy said you were busy."

"Don't be modest, Kira." Another voice suddenly cut in on the conversation. Bakura, being his normal a*****e self, had gotten on another line. "Rei, my sweet, we all live in a mansion. Kira inherited a multi-million dollar company and is filthy rich." Rei jumped, not expecting to hear another voice. "Woah, who are you?" She asked, wondering if this was the roommate Kira had mentioned. She didn't like the way he had spoken to her. "I'm your father, dearie." Bakura said, clearly sneering. "Need I mention how hurt I am that you were only asking about your birth mother? We sperm-givers need attention, too."

Kira let out a small growl "Rei hun I'm going to call you right back ok?" Once rei said ok she hung up. Storming to where ever bakura was she kicked him in the balls, took the phone away from him and went back to her room,and took her cellphone and called rei back. since she was on her cellphone bakura couldent get on another line.

The phone rang three or four times before being picked up. This time, the speaker sounded older. "Hello?" Margaret asked, having just come inside after seeing the agent off.

"Kira, Kira..." Margaret said, as though trying to recall who that was. She knew, though, and was just trying to buy time to get over her shock and remain calm. "Oh, you mean Mrs. Nawi? Or would that be Miss Nawi?"

"Oh, well, I don't think that's a good idea right now." The woman was clearly unaware that Kira and Rei had already been speaking. "I'll probably need to go tell that young man... hold on." Margaret didn't let Kira have much of a say in matters. She set the phone down on the back of the couch and hurried outside, hoping the agent hadn't left yet. Luckily, he hadn't, and she called to him, briefly explaining the situation and ushering him inside, insisting that he speak with this Kira woman first. Khalid sighed. This woman was not the ideal person he wanted to work with. It would have been easier if she was easier to manipulate, and not nearly so protective and defensive. He picked up the phone, clearing his throat to remain polite. "Good evening. I suppose I'm speaking with Miss Nawi?" He asked, not even trying to disguise his voice.

Khalid glanced at the woman hovering near him, and then switched to Japanese. "You needn't be so rude, Miss Nawi. As far as I can tell, I'm the one working the hardest to get you and your daughter back together. I've got a job to do. Somehow, I still seem to be stuck as fate's little b***h."
