"And why can't we touch you?" Sahira asked, ceasing her own fire.

Minerva stood to the side, a small glare on her brow, she glanced at Sean briefly. "Don't tell me Locke is a closet super."

Sahira shook her head, "I'd hear whining if he was shot, at least I think." She decided to save her ammo, at least for a moment, and let the Cheif clear out what could shot, if things could be shot.

Meanwhile, at the edge of the city, amidst flying bullets and piles of rubble walked a slight framed girl in a green dress. Her red hair was a bright marker, but Ruby ignored it and moved to the base, a sense of purpose guiding her feet, a sense of purpose that kept out of mind everything else she'd heard that day.

Minerva glanced at Sean and at the Cheif, then hid her gun in the back of her pants, sliding her shirt over it. "I'll go in, the rest of you stay out here and back me up if things go bad." She moved to the doorway slowly, holding her hands up and out, to show she wasn't holding a weapon.

Ruby gave him an odd look. "It's a war, sugar, there's a battle goin on' is what's goin' on. An' I woulda thought a fella'd be knocked out when a buildin' collapsed, not wakin' up when it collapses." She chuckled, her dimple sinking into her cheek. "I'm headin' to the AA base, how about you? You a super or somethin?"

"Aye, think it would be the safest place in the city, well so long as it's still intact an' the soldiers are all right an' all." She frowned slightly at the thought but pushed it away before it dragged her down into useless worry. "An' I wanted to know, cause I was curious. I'm one too, an' it'd be nice to know." She held out her hand. "Ruby st.Claire, dunno if you heard of me, but I hope you have...in fact you darn well better have, especially if you're in Krovh."

"Nice to meet you Devon." Ruby shook his hand with a firm grip and then let it go. She also stared at his eyes for a moment as if looking for something, but just as quickly looked away, and didn't bother looking so intently again. "I'm a little surprised you haven't, but I prolly shouldn't be, seems more an' more people haven't heard of me. Used to be an actress back in the day, an' now I associate with the AA, don't do much by the way of fightin' though." She skipped over some rubble, her hair bouncing softly against her back and shoulders. "What psychotic woman is that? The Soltari girl? An' you never answered whether you're super or not."

Ruby gave a slight shrug. "I miss it now an' then, but I was only in it for the money at the time. I do sometimes wonder what it woulda been like to enjoy that time of my life though....I woulda probably been highly susceptible to havin' ego problems...not that I don't have 'em now, but yeah, coulda been worse." She clicked her fingers against the silver necklace as she thought about the name Margaret Cross. "Margaret Cross, Maggie, Meg, Meg C, Maggie Cross, Meh mmmcross." She stopped in her tracks and lifted a finger in the air. "MINERVA!" She started walking again, nodding, "She shot me once, but she can be helpful durrin' stuff....wait scratch that, she shot me twice. She works with us now though, an' she does a decent job at it." She turned to him, "an' that'd be twice you've avoided my question. Are you a super?"
