*Ran followed Kuroi closely, mainly because he was being tugged around like a little kid and kept quiet. Why was Kuroi always so happy? He had been neglected by Satan, had one of his friends killed, never got any recognition for what he did do, but he was always cheerful. Ran shook his head in confusion. He just couldn't figure it out*

Kuroi paused looking thoughtful "She's this way.. but she feels... dark in some way. Just wanted to warn you. Ran... do you know what your going to say to her? I thought you loved her and then... well I'm not sure why you and Kari did what you did but... Ranpha is probably more confused..." He knew he wasn't helping but he felt Ran needed to be prepared for what might happen!

I...I do love Ranpha but... *He sighed and looked down at the ground behind them as they stopped* ...I loved Kari too. I don't know. I'm so d***ed confused! I don't know what I'm going to say to Ranpha!! I just.. *He ruffed his hair and took a breath, trying to settle back down* I just want to see her and tell her everything.

Divena (okay, one, Ry is evil.... and mean. Two, i actually feel bad for Ran eek ::makes a mental note to nudge Nov into being nicer to him:: )
::"Hikari's dead" the words struck her hard. her insant reaction was to laugh nervously:: t....that's not funny, Cain ::she says shakily. Hikari couldn't be dead. no, it just wasn't possible. she hadn't been abandoned by another loved one, God hadn't taken another bit of her family from her... she just.... just refused to believe it... i...it wasn't possible...:: h...how? ::she asks softly as her practical nature forces her to see that Cain was truely upset about this, which meant... it had to be true... she hugged Cain closer, fighting back her own tears and dispair. Cain needed her right now.. she had to be strong... she could cry later, when she was alone::

((BIG EDIT)) Kuroi was about to give a nice speech.. but instead found himself on the ground and some girl above him and Ran. "Uhh... are you ok? Whats the hurry?" He wondered how many times people had run into him now?? He was getting to know the sidewalks quite well...

*Ran looked at the girl confusingly. This wasn't good. This was the same way he met Hikari and Ranpha and Nov. He couldn't afford to meet another girl! Not like this!* Geez, hide you from what? *Ran asked impatiently as he stood to his feet. This couldn't have come at a worse time*

Kuroi just stared... not human?? Was this girl serious? "uhh.. here!" Grabs her and Ran and pulls them into a crowded shop that happened to sell... Ice cream!! He grins "Yay.. now we can have a treat!!"

Kuroi rolled his eyes and turned to face the weak demon letting his power flare out a bit to let the guy knwo who he was dealing with. Humans couldn't sense it so it was safe to let it out in the shop. he kept his eyes trained on the demon never breaking eye contact and somehow becoming a very menacing pressence (that clearly said move on and leave her alone) as opposed to the ice cream loving guy he was just portraying.

*This was more than Ran could tolerate right now. He forced himself out of Kuroi's grip and stepped forward. He could sense the demonic energy slightly, but he knew that if his sense were correct, then Ran himself was probably stronger* That's enough! Get LOST!! *With the last word, Ran dashed forward and slammed his fist into the man's face, sending him falling back through the doors. Ran stepped outside after him* This is not the time or the place! So beat it! scream
