ZANT! What is he cooking up?!
TY thought as he made his way to the docks.
First Larien gets transformed and sucked to his side. Then Epotheros is possessed. Most recently Tramer has joined them...!!!
Clover! The one he's been afraid of the entire time! He's gonna take her out this time! They can only protect her with the power of their alter-forms, but then they're unpredicable and could attack anyone; him or us.

He made it to the docks, found the guards, and requested use of a 2-man boat. Then he stood there awaiting the arrival of Clover and Epotheros.
Maybe we shouldn't go to Zant...I'd just be leading her right into the jaws of the beast...
but then again...

After they were ready, Epotheros and Clover ran towards the temple only to find a gruling sight. The priest was laying on the ground, mortaly wounded. Some of the other priest were huddled around him trying to heal him with what ever magical abilities they possesed but they were unable to. When the High Priest Alderan sensed Clover he called her to come over to him. "I am not long for this world, but please defeat Zant. There is a special artifact in the other room I want you to have. With it you should be able to increased the amount of shots you can fire and the power by at least tenfold by absorbing the sunlight around it. Do not worry about me dear child, you should leave now!" After that he closed his eyes as the priest around him spasticly tried to heal him."

"Let's go Clover," Epotheros said as he walked over to the back room. It was a small room, only a meter wide and deep and two meters high. There was a single chest that contained a gold armbrace that was heavily encrusted with jewels. "I think this is it," Epotheros said as he brought it out to Clover. "Put this ona and see if you can make a bow.

Once they reached the temple a mortifying seen captured Clover by surprise. What had happened? The priest was bloodied and slowly meeting death’s grasp. She approached the awful sight and wounded man after being summoned by the departing. Clover could only nodded to the elder’s request. She followed Epotheros into the room and solemnly looked about. Though she hadn’t known the man very long, somehow she felt connected to him. The small fact that he was the only other one out there that could use light against the darkness. The fact that she wasn’t the only one had comforted her, but now… she just wasn’t sure. Clover broke out of the mild stupor and took the armlet from Epotheros and slid it onto her arm. After a deep breath she focused light into a bow.

When Epotheros saw the bow of light form in Clover's hands he let out a sigh of relief before stating," Good, let's go." When the two exited the temple, darkness already blanketed the skies, allowing only enough light to see. The crows from earlier on had dwindled to almost nothing allowing Epotheros and Clover to travel across the barren city with out so much as seeing a single person. At the docks, he found out that Ty had already arranged a boat for them but was no where to bee seen.

After the ten minutes it took to paddle the boat over to the shore of the mainland darkness had completely fallen. The moon did not provide much light either since it was only in the shape of a thin cresent. "I don't know," Epotheros said as he looked around in the darkness, "if we should continue on or find an inn to stay at."

No words of sounds left Clover the whole time they left the city. The image of the priest slowly passing into the afterlife plagued her. Eventually she let the truth seep in. Once they had returned to the shore she distanced herself from the event. Instead she focused on how they would succeed in their mission. Then more pressing matters showed themselves. Decisiveness was never Clover’s forte. After some thought she answered, “Well if Zant knows our location, maybe we should distance ourselves from this place.”

"Well first thing first is that we need to go find our horses we left with the person who rented us the boat." Epotheros said as he walked off to the building where they had rented the boat. He then knocked on the door and waited for a reply. Soon enough a man came to the store front and yelled, "What do ye want, we're closed!"

Epotheros snapped back at him, "We need our horses, your boats down at the dock."

"They're tied around back," the shop owner grumbled out, "get em' ye-selves."

"Fine," Epotheros thought to himself as he went around back to find the horses laying down asleep next to Kamots. "Good, you're here," he said to Kamots who gave him a scowl only a wolf could for disturbing him from his sleep. He then mounted shadow, waiting for Clover to board Alfie, before trotting out of town. About five miles or so away from the village Epotheros turned his head to Clover and asked, "I wonder where Ty is? Do you think we should stop here and rest for tonight, since we don't know where we are going and we need to be in top condition if we are to stand a chance against one of Zant's tricks."

Seeing Alfie again was refreshing. Clover adored the horse. She mounted and took off beside Epotheros. Once they were good distance off she felt more secure. The truth was she was starting to tire. When Epotheros mentioned stopping and resting, she was more than happy to agree. “He‘s always disappearing. We‘ll see him again eventually. For now an Inn sounds wonderful,” she answered with a smile, having let herself momentarily forget about the priest’s death.

"Well to tell you the truth, that inn at the village was the last one for miles around. We're in open country now, but I do think we will be safer that way." Epotheros said as they neared a grove of trees. He then took off the small latern that was attached to his horses saddle and lit it with a snap of his fingers. "I'll take the first watch," Epotheros said as he leaned himself against a fallen tree. "Try to get some sleep, you need it."

Her hopes dwindled slightly, and she felt foolish for suggesting such a thing. Clover dismounted Alfie and let him find a quaint patch of grass to lay on. She then took out a small bed roll and laid beside a tree. Staring in the darkness sleep finally claimed the young woman a little less than an hour after they had arrived.

Lights danced about in her mind. Many of the bright orbs were fading and then lightening after a bit. This time they seemed to be sad. How Clover could find sadness in orb like lights she wasn't sure, but she could feel their mourning. As she slept this image dominated her dreams in an indescribable haziness.

"Sorry I wasn't there at the docks to meet you.
You were right, rest is something that our team needs.
You get some sleep as well. I'll watch all night.
And I promise I'll be here when you get up in the morning."

TY nudged Epotheros towards the center of the grove.
"Go on."

Staring off into the darkness was rather difficult and Epotheros spent a lot of his energy trying to fend of his desire to sleep. Fortunatly Ty had shown up to relieve him from his post. "Thank you my friend," was all he could say at that moment as he took a blanket from the bag on his horse and walked over to where Clover was sleeping. Epotheros wanted to be near her, but respected her space by leaving a two foot gap inbetween their sleeping spaces. Before Epotheros laid down on the blanket he removed his armor and sword resting them at the side as he decided to drift off into a dreamless sleep.

Soon after, or so it felt, the morning came. Epotheros' eyes fluttered open to reviel Clover laying only a foot away from him. He studied her face and how peacful it looked as she softly breathed in and out. Epotheros then positioned his body so he could reach out his hand and brush the strands of cerulian hair from her face, before he rested his bare palm on her cheek. "Clover, wake up it's morning," he said as he stroked his thumb over her cheek.

That night, TY kept watch without another thought of what was to come or what might have been.
Morning rays crept over the horizon through the trees as Epotheros began to stir, then awaken Clover. TY had not moved a muscle all night long and now took this time to stretch his arms and legs once.
With the movement of his body came the thoughts unbidden.
What of Tramer and Larien? Will we see them soon?
Why did Tramer want them to leave without him, and Larien?
Why did Epotheros agree to do just that so quickly?

Tramer
Tramer stood up and walked over to a near by window, the city was in flames, and countless dead bodies littered the streets, just as I foresaw in the vision…Tramer thought to himself looking at the horror before him, Tramer quickly returned to Lariens side, there didn’t seem to be any changes in her condition, but the fact she had fought off the change this long proved she was not about to give up. Tramer sat on the bed, Dericos continued to fight for control using energy Tramer could not figure out were it was coming from. Tramer softly brushed his hand along Larien’s cheek “we cant stay here any longer I need you to wake up” Tramer said in a calm voice, Tramer thought about teleporting the two away, but feared using magic of any type might only help Lilith take control.

((Who said the city was going to be destroyed?))
