*the she-wolf paced back and forth at the intrance whining. she threw her head back and howled again only to hear answering howls in the distance*

*suddenly a large wolf came bounding out of the woods*

she sniffed around for a minute and then threw her head back letting out a long howl*

* Picks her head up at the howling, and nudges Myth's foot a couple times, still listening, but drawing Drake closer*

myth blinks awake "hmm...? what? what's wrong?"

Something's howling...closer then i'm happier with. Just be aware....probably time to get up and start packing camp anyways...which direction are we heading? *Cat yawns and stretches and gains her feet*

"how do we know the howling is a bad thing?... it's a female...she sounds a little...distressed." his ears strained for the howl again. "why not head back to the castle. i'm sure alida's wondering where you went... and now that think of it, i'm curious too, what happened?"

*Swivels her ears, listening to the howling only half paying attention to Myth* Howling is always a bad thing when you've got a kit to protect. I can't be too cautious. Maybe we should investigate. And i was simply making sure you didn't learn what i feared you learned from the gypsies. Next time just be tell me. It woulda saved me alot of time and heartache. We can go back to the castle, if it makes you happy.

Nay, Dearling, you were not specific enough. It was a particular brand of dead magic, that would do me great harm if known. It's been a lost magic for over 4 centuries. But you are old enough to possibly have been there when it was still alive. I had to be certain. I'm sorry if upset you unduly but rushing out of the hall, but not sorry i quested to make sure. I could not stay here if that kind of power hung over my head, esp in your hands.
