You can make a good, strong character that's not aligned with any party. It just takes work and experience.

I'm trying to figure out how to bait and trap the two factions and pit them against each other directly. I'm drawing a blank.

You would have to find a way to make them seem like they are each a bigger threat respectively. And with the sith ruling the galaxy, that is by no means an easy task.

Ah, but the way of the sith is deception and betrayal. So their entire livelihood should at least help in that respect.

In any case, the GLF is a little bit easier to turn into the attacker than the loyalists, since Imperials look the same, but at least the GLF is unique.

I have one plan, but it'd have the GLF be very, very gullible. So how to lure them into making simple errors in checking their sources?

I've already got a plan in the works that will keep the GLF and Loyalists from uniting. Have you been wondering how EK was able to build as many ships as he did as quickly as he had?

SLAVE LABOR and HUTTESE BACKING

The Hutts are providing both slaves and funding for the EK's Loyalists. That alone makes them look pretty bad in the eyes of GLF. Would they side with a group that is making use of slave labor?

Still I think what Nelo wants is for them to fight each other. As long as they are both fighting the sith, they are indirectly helping each other and straining the Empire. He wants them to fight each other now while the sith are bearing down on both of them.

That'd only work if you could prove it, and get slaves into my operations, which is hard, seeing as the Empire still hasn't found me. Besides, I technically have no business with the Hutts yet, nor have I made really any plans on it confused

If you wanted something to exploit on me, then jab at the clones. You've already proven they exist. Start the fire about us being renegades trying at another round of Clone Wars

I'm saying he already used them... It's the only way to explain how quickly his fleet exploded in size. Someone had to be lending him money... and who has the most to gain through destabilizing the galaxy? The Hutts. You can make allot of money selling equipment and mercenaries in that sort of situation.

My Raporan warrior's story arch involves the Bothans supporting piracy against the Hutts... I'm also guessing that the Empire would be more then willing to subsidize such actions with a few credits. It keeps the Bothans out of the threat picture and uses them against other sources of war materials thus strangling the supply of mercenaries, smugglers, war materials, and arms, and by extention strangling both the GLF and Loyalists.

It only ties up Mercs and Pirates near Bothan and Hutt space though...there are plenty of other mercenaries out there...

I agree with Paul. It'd work, yes, but very hard to pull off. The Galaxy's a big place, man.

Besides, I'm cloning, renember? Especially now, I can just grow my own supply of workers, soldiers, pilots, mechanics, you name it. My only problem would be keeping them all fed and morally supported.

If you had to strangle me, I'd just start off with strangling the people I'd likely be getting help from, like the GLF, or cracking-down on the loyalist worlds.
