Mari just looked back at him and didn't know what to say. She then spoke up as the kid just kept ahold of her. "I think I would remember being pregnant!" The boy then looked at Smash and smiled. "Daddy!"

*his eyes widened again when the boy called him daddy. he put up his hands and shooks his hands*

The boy just gave Smash a confused look like he should know his name and was just lost as to why he was weirded out by him calling him daddy. "You're being silly. You know my name." Mari just tried to think of a logical explination of what was going on so she wasn't saying anything.

*he got closer to him and put his hands on his shoulders. he knew that he was ugoing to upset the boy but he had to figure out what is going on so he can get him back to his real family*
i'm afraid not. we never had any children. i'm not you daddy but i wanna help you get back to your parents.

Mari put her hand on Smash's arm and shook her head. "Sniff his hair." She had an idea. Smash had a sense of smell unlike anyone else. If what the kid was saying was true, he would smell like both Mari and Smash in a way. The boy was just giving Smash a somewhat sad look. He knew what he was talking about, but it seemed that no one was believing him.

*he looked up at mari and nodded. he placed his hands on the sides of the boy's head and gentily bent him towards him. he sniffed his hair carefully and closed his eyes. this smell was different but it was deffinatly familiar. it had a bit of mari's scent along with his own. he opened his eyes and looked into the boy's eyes as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing*
my god... i think he might actually be our kid...

The boy smiled at Smash as he looked into his eyes and giggled. "You always sniff my hair." Mari just turned the boy and looked at him. If Smash's senses were correct, then she wasn't seeing things and the boy resembled her a lot. "Can you just please tell us your name?" The little boy let out a sigh and rolled his eyes. If anything, he had Mari's attitude about what he thought were stupid questions. "My name's Cyan. Duh."

Cyan looked up at him and thought about it. "I was sitting here." Mari shook her head. "No. Before you came here." Cyan then smiled. "Oh! Before. I was in the forest. You and daddy look different. Just like sissy said you would." He said forest and at that Mari smacked her head and realized what happened. "You came through the time portal in the woods!" She clenched her teeth and just stayed like that for a moment.

i see. well you really are my son, but from a different time. you went through a time portal. we'll take you back to it so you can go back home.

It wasn't as easy as Smash thought. She was hoping the boy had one bit of information they needed. Mari moved her hand and grabbed the boy's shoulders gently. "What time did you come from?" The boy just gave her an oblivious smile. "I dunno." And he didn't. She just let out a deep sigh and thought of what they could do.

*he was stumped now. if they didn't know what time he was from then they couldn't send him back. he was getting worried but another question arose in his mind*
you mentioned a sister. did she tell you to go through the portal?

Cyan just crossed his arms and smiled. "Nope. I figured out how to come here all by myself. Sissy just said that I wouldn't know mommy or daddy if I seen them, but I proved her wrong." Mari just gave the kid a small glare and mumbled. "You're my problem child in the future, aren't you?"

Mari just shook her head. "I don't know either." The small boy just gave a small frown. "You guys not happy to see me?" Mari just looked at him and didn't know what to say. She wasn't happy for the fact that he went through the time portal and she's sure that in the future she probably laid down the rule of never use it, but he was her son. Whether she had him yet or not shouldn't matter. She would still love him. "No. That's not it. It's just hard to explain." She hugged the little boy and held him.
