And this is exactly why we have Exterminatus, to make sure that Niddy Nonsense never spreads. Also on synapse, I'm going to bring in Imperial guard on this one, but wouldn't a Basalisk Artillery tank eat through zoanthropes, warriors, and the like? I can understand a Hive Tyrant taking punishment but that's what a Leman Russ and a couple Heavy weapons teams are for.

from previous games of mine the lascannon shock does it in for my Nidzilla, artillery is to inaccurate for hitting em. my suggestions for guards fighting my zilla list (nidzilla with stealers for troops (as little synapse needed as possible))
Lascannon teams in one platoon for MC and H. Bolter teams in another platoon for the stealers... like 5 weapon teams in each platoon.

Spam versus spam is a very unpopular approach to gaming.

I'm all for horde of bugs - "without number" is pretty much a symbol of that approach. Big bugs should be really nasty, but rare.

The days of Nidzilla are over, GW is doing the whole back to the roots again, plus the Carnifex got enough promotion last time round, so their kit isn't as important as the new upcoming Gaunt boxed sets, which will get a favourable treatment with the upcoming codex instead.

I wonder if they'll keep the Gaunts boxed the way they are, or split them into two smaller boxes like they did with Guard.

Well if they are stripping away nidzillla then the gaunts better be worth it. Maybe i will go back to my stealer Shock army. 1st wave invasion force, stealers, broodlord, and lictors.
whatcha think? or are they gonna take away my stealer shock too?

if hormagaunts point costs go down, or if the get WON then i will definitely be getting more... move 6, run D6, Assault 12, 3 attacks on charge, plus i run hyperguants so they are I5 and WS5...

the dice gods hated me one game... enemy lascannon team rolled 6 to hit, 6 to wound, and my Fex got no save... on all 3... in a row... EPIC FAIL! but thats not the worst part... after getting knocked down to 1 wound a Chimera splattered him all over the windshield... >.< i was so pissed off...
That kill stopped my entire army... the spear was blunted and the stealers were annihilated next turn... then the rest of my big bugs followed...
Good news though... Sycthe Rant got a kill... on a Leman Russ tank! flipped it a** over end...

i have'nt played nids with my chaos army yet but i did with my marine and they got their arses handed to them. the same will probably happen to my chaos marines but worse 'cos they're built pretty much on close combat and guardsman meatshields. gonk

Close combat against my nids is not recommended... Mainly because steelers dont go second often and usually when my opponents turn to him comes around he may 1 or 2 models left in a squad... the Fex's and Rant's act as Tank hunters and battering rams into enemy positions followed by steelers.

Blackened Heart Sucubi ... -.- and you say i troll... i didnt say that... all i said was synapse wont matter since carnifexs are fearless and dont need to worry about it. This debate has been through the works. Fearless does not prevent Instinctive Behavior. Fearless prevents Morale checks, Falling Back, and Pinning. Instinctive Behavior is a Leadership test, so it is not auto-passed by Fearless. IB forces you to fall back, but Fearless prevents that so you don't have to. But in order to move normally, you need to make and succeed at the IB check. So if you fail your IB check, you're stuck not moving. Granted, you have ld10, but you are not immune.
